“I haven’t seen you since the day of the fight,” Adam says, his hand against my lower back as he guides me towards the club. “How was your break?”
“Terrible.” I smile. “Yours?”
“Terribly boring. Want to have some fun?”
I think of the days with my parents and Lane and then coming back here to meet Trevor’s brother. Things haven’t exactly been fun.
“Sure,” I reply, leaning into him with my worries miles away. After all, so is Trevor’s brother. “Let’s paint the town black.”
