Kylie's POV:

My body felt as if it was on fire and my lungs were so tight I felt like I was going to suffocate. I struggled to breathe and oddly enough I felt comfortable. Was I dead or did someone save me? I couldn't move anything, and my eyes refused to open but I faintly heard voices talking. So I wasn't alone.

"She'll be okay. I taped her ribs. I bandaged up what needed it and cleaned the rest of her wounds. But I don't exactly know when she will wake up. She's been badly beaten. Her ankle is broken, so all I did right now was wrapped it and put a brace on either side. So she shouldn't walk much when she wakes up. She's real lucky you came by when you did. They nearly killed her." A man said and I heard a sigh.

"I know. I wish I had been there sooner. She's so beautiful." Another man said and he sighed. His voice sent shivers through my body and I moaned in pain. Now I was starting to get out of the darkness. "Is she waking up?"

"It seems like it. Ma'am? Can you hear me?" The first man asked and I managed to nod, but it brought pain through my head and I felt something dripping into my eye. "Damn. I need to fix that. Stay still ma'am. This will hurt."

Someone grabbed my hand and I screamed in pain as the first man poked above my eye with something. He was giving me stitches. Tears streamed from my closed eyes but soon enough he was done and I sighed.

"Can you tell me your name?" The first man asked me.

"K-Kylie." I whispered and tried to clear my throat. That's when I felt something pressed against my lips and I took a greedy drink of the water and sighed. My throat felt better now.

"Well Kylie. Can you open your eyes?" He asked and I slowly forced them open, but the room was bright so I quickly shut them. "Randy, can you dim the lights?"

I heard movement and waited a moment before I opened them and settled on the man in the white white shirt, who smiled softly at me.

"I'm Darren, Kylie. I'm a doctor. Do you know what happened to you?" He asked and I tried to remember and moaned in pain. "It's alright if you don't. Don't try and force it, you'll remember when you feel better."

I nodded slightly and closed my eyes again. But when I opened them I was met by the deepest green eyes and I almost gasped. He was handsome. Spiky black hair and he was tanned and his arms were covered in tattoos. Plus his shirt was soaked with blood and I had to look away.

"I'm randy, I saved you."

Randy's POV:

As soon as she opened her I knew I had to have her. My green eyes were met with her sapphire blue and I nearly moaned right then and there. She was gorgeous. I could get lost staring into her eyes.

I mentally slapped myself, I can't be falling for her that easily. As I left the room, I gave her one more glance and saw that she had fallen asleep. Darren followed me and softly closed the door to Kylie's room.

"She needs lots of rest. I don't want her up much unless she's going to the restroom. Maybe you should get someone to come watch her." Darren said and put a hand on my shoulder.

I shook my head. "I'll watch her. I don't want anyone else around her. Not until she's able to protect herself." I said and looked at the door where she was resting. Why couldn't I focus.

"Okay, sir. Just make sure you check on her periodically. I'll send someone out to pick up some clothes. She's the same size as my daughter." Darren said before he left.

I sat down on the couch and leaned forward, putting my head in my hands. She was so damn beautiful that I couldn't think straight and all I wanted to do was go in there and hold her while she slept, so that I knew she was safe and comfortable. But she needed to rest. She didn't even know me.

My sigh echoed in the room and I decided to turn on the tv and watch something. I settled on the walking dead and leaned back, attempting to relax. When bell went off for the elevator I sat up and looked around, then walking down the hallway to it.

"Randy!" Came a high pitched squeal before I was nearly tackled by a petite girl who I knew all too well. And she was barely dressed.

"What are you doing here, Miranda?" I demanded and pushed her away.

She pouted and stuck out her painted red lips and i nearly wanted to gag at the sight. After seeing Kylie awake and alive, I couldn't stand to look at another woman.

"But randy. You came home, so I thought you'd want me. I'm wet for you baby." She purred and ran her painted red fingernails down my chest but when her hand came away red with blood she gasped. "What happened baby? Are you okay?"

"Go away Miranda. I don't want you. Don't ever come back to me. There are so many other guys here who would want you." I said and shoved her back towards the elevator. "Don't make me tell you what you don't want to hear. I will ruin you Miranda."

"You already have." She whispered as I heard something break from behind me. I spun and saw a dizzy looking Kylie.

"A-am I... I-interrupting you?" She whispered and I ran to catch her just as she fell to her knees. Her eyes fluttered before they settled on my face. "Y-you're cute."

"She's why you're making me leave, randy? I'm so much sexier than she is." Miranda screeched and I pulled my phone out of my pocket. I hit a number and instantly heard ringing.

"Yes, sir?" Came James's voice through the speaker.

"Miranda is banished. get her out of the penthouse. Kylie woke up." Was all I said before I hung up my phone and put it back in my pocket. I stared down at the beautiful woman in my arms.

"You're beautiful." I whispered to Kylie and saw a ghost of a smile on her face before she passed out and her mouth opened just a little bit, and I couldn't help but smile. Even in her sleep she was beautiful.

I carried Kylie back to her room, knowing Miranda was following me and laid Kylie in the bed and covered her up. Her hand reached for me and I sat down on the bed next to her as I texted James the code for the elevator to get up here. I have to change it since Miranda knows it now.

"Now can we have fun?" Miranda whined as the bell rang through the apartment and James came running in. He snatched a screaming Miranda and ran out of the apartment and I couldn't help but chuckle.

All I needed was the woman sleeping in this bed.
