Thalia was staring at herself in the mirror "you look beautiful" Haymitch said leaning against the door frame "you think?" She asked looking at her uncle "sweetheart I know" he smiled at her and she looked back in the mirror admiring her reflection the white dress clung to her hips the red velvet clipped at her stomach held together with a diamond from district 1 her silvery hair in a tight bun loose strands of hair hung next to her ear feasting in her shoulder in curls "Finnick won't be able to keep his eyes of you" Effie said hugging the girl "and I'll have you to thank for that Effie it's magnificent" Thalia hugged the woman "Princess you ready" Haymitch held his elbow out and she weaved her arm through his gripping the bouquet of flowers in her hands "stop panicking" Haymitch looked at her and kissed her forehead "he won't leave you" she nodded as the door swung open revealing rows of chairs with people sat on them who stood up as soon as she walked in Finnick's gaze travelled from the delicate white heels on her feet to the veil on her head taking in each and every detail of his soon to be wife "I love you Thals" her uncle whispered as they reached the end of the isle "I love you more" she smiled as she made her way up to Finnick Haymitch sat in the front next to Katniss and Effie with Lila on his lap next to Katniss was Prim and her mother Johanna and Beetee next to Effie on the other side Coin, Plutarch, Gale, Boggs and a couple of people Thalia knew from walking around 13

"Thalia I have loved you since day one you were so confident and strong but also caring and loving when you almost got caught by the fog in the arena my heart stopped but we made it even if I was stuck in the Capitol. When we first kissed I never wanted that moment to end I have had thousands of women swooning over me but non as beautiful as the one standing before me right now" Thalia blushed as Finnick intwined their fingers "Finnick when I first met you I thought you were the biggest flirt in the hole of Panem but I grew to score you the mire time we spent together in that arena and when I was saved and you weren't I thought I had lost the one person in this world that understood me i thought I'd never see you again and that broke me, the day you came back to me i felt that hole inside if me disappear and I love you more than life it's self" there was a silence as the words Thalia had been waiting forever to hear were finally spoken "I now pronounce you husband and wife you may kiss the bride" without a second thought Finnick pulled her closer and kissed her passionately as his arms snaked around her waist

At the party Finnick was dancing with his new daughter while Johanna talked with Katniss and Thalia was with Haymitch and Effie "Excuse us my friends I just wanted to borrow my wife" Finnick led Thalia away from all the crowds and kissed her deeply "what was that for" she smiled "for being so beautiful that dress is gorgeous but it would look better on the floor" Finnick smirked and winked and she playfully smacked his arm "your suck a flirt" he rolled his eyes and draped his arm round her waist leading her back into the hall as they danced for hours "congratulations Thals you look beautiful" Prim hugged her "thanks Prim you look gorgeous to" you young gurl smiled "could you do me a favour?" Prim looked at her and nodded "could you find Lila and put her to bed for me" "of course" Prim walked off as Haymitch Coin approached "congratulations Mrs Odair" she nodded politely "Thank you president Coin" Thalia smiled she could get used to that Thalia Odair had a nice ring to it

Later that night Thalia and Finnick went to their bedroom while Lila was sleeping in Prim's room, Finnick wasted no time pinning his wife to the wall and kissing her "did I tell you how gorgeous you look tonight" he said in between kisses "only a few hundred times" Thalia giggled "well I'll tell you again my love" his hands moved to her waist as he kissed her neck leaving marks all over " your mine" he moved his hands to her back unzipping the dress as he kissed her the dress fell onto the floor leaving her in nothing but her underwear "Damn...." was all he managed to say before he took his own clothes off and they moved to the bed
