It’s been fifty years. She was misunderstood, but recognised. Everyone knew everything about “her” – the girl that the camera lenses adored. However, only a select few knew the young woman that lived behind the firmly closed doors of opulence, fame and influence.

Everyone still imagines it - what it would’ve been like to be her, or be part of some aspect of her life. Would it have been stressful?

Relaxed?

Organised?

Hectic?

Now though, we know, to a certain extent, about the life that she led. With the benefit of hindsight, we can also appreciate the stresses that she would’ve had to endure every day. We, as people who are not constantly being followed by flash bulbs and microphones, will never be able to empathise with her struggles. We can only sympathise.

This is merely a tribute to the mysterious and wonderful woman that was Miss Valentina Luccini
