As a scientist, I have authored 100+ publications, and share the 2008 Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award for the discovery of Sprycel, a new anti-cancer drug. I love to write hard science fiction, fantasy and horror. My novel, Algorithm, which is a story about DNA and the purpose of humanity, garnered a 2010 Royal Palm Literary Award (RPLA) and was published in Oct 1, 2014 by E-Lit Books.
More recently, As Wings Unfurl won 1st place as best sci-fi novel of 2014 at the RPLA awards. The story is about a guardian angel that is not an angel who falls in love with a human, and together they uncover the greatest conspiracy ever to face mankind.
A collection of my short stories, My Shorts, just published (2016) is a fun ride of fantasy and sci-fi, which contains a number of award winning works.
All three are available on Amazon as ebooks or paperbacks.
My latest project is called Wind-In-Trees - a story about the last creature with a human brain, and what he does when faced with an upgrade to a fully artificial one. The world is post-apocalyptic where nothing is what it seems to be.
A few quotes about ALGORITHM:
"Hard science fiction is always a trick to pull off, but Arthur Doweyko's novel, Algorithm, does it, and he takes you places you didn't expect to go. It's a fun ride, and if you pay attention, you might find yourself learning some things you didn't know. Nice job, Arthur."
-Steve Perry New York Times Bestselling Author of The Vastalimi Gambit
"THE ACTION CONTINUES TO THE END ... Hardly anything is what it seems to be. Genre readers should enjoy it; I did."
-Piers Anthony Author of the Xanth fantasy series
"An intriguing story from the beginning. OLD SCHOOL HARD SCIENCE FICTION about the modern biological sciences and nanotechnology. I loved it."
