Well I love to read, but lately I've been getting disappointed in how people write, so disappointed that I now have set guidelines for myself when reading a story, I will no longer read stories that have below 10 chapters or must have a minimum of 15 pages, If they don't have either of those they must be completed. If incomplete must have a minimum of 2 to 6 weeks of regular updates, the faster they have been updated the more likely I will read their story. Must not string me a long, If I'm going to fan your story I will most likely pass it a long to friends to read too, I don't need to be made a fool of by backing your story and then finding out that you had no serious intentions of completing it or finishing it properly, it angers me when authors don't complete what they start and when they do complete what they start they have gotten sloppy after a certain amount of chapters, it ticks me off that they insult my support like that and will most likely remove myself as a fan. Seriously I don't think its fair that an author sets up a great story setting me up for a fantastic story only to pull the rug out from under my feet half way through. Its annoying and disrespectful to those who read your stories. The fact that people are content to settle for sloppy seconds makes me want to wack them over the head with a bat and tell them to grow a pair or better yet grow a brain.
In general I tend to be open minded most of the time but not when it comes to me using my time to read stuff written by other people just to have found out later on that they wasted my time and effort.. makes me want to hurl just thinking about it, and before i go getting any abusive messages let me ask you something, Say you were to put your time and effort into something and checked on it regularly only to have someone go and become sloppy with your time and effort, how would you feel? I am aware that there are circumstances though, but whats stopping people from letting their readers know?
