PRESS RELEASE

Headline: Mary Ann D'Alto Pens Debut Novel, takes you inside the elusive world of psychopaths.
Summary: Power and control take center stage when a charming man plays evil games with women's minds. Dog Ear Publishing reviews this intriguing new debut novel by Mary Ann D'Alto.
Aaron Stein, a handsome and very successful fertility specialist, seems to be the perfect gentleman. But his poise hides a terrible secret; Aaron is a psychopath who lures women for the thrill of securing their love and trust, only to discard them when he becomes bored. This new novel released by Dog Ear Publishing tells the story of Aaron Stein, seducer of women's souls.

Constance, his devoted cousin with secrets of her own, always protects Aaron, making up for a past accident, but does she take things too far? And did their relationship ever cross the line? "He Counts Their Tears" reveals Aaron's perverse need to "have all the power", luring one woman after the next through a "perfect relationship" which will end abruptly, shattering her psyche. Aaron will move on as if she never mattered. Because of course she never did.

Even his wife, Ruth, who is otherwise a strong, capable doctor, becomes his possession, valued solely for satiating his extreme sexual needs, and the front she provides for his madness. As Aaron cycles through his victims, he knows that the one person he can turn to is Constance, who made a bargain long ago that continues to haunt her. But events spiral out of control, and someone may pay the ultimate price.

This is the first novel for author Mary Ann D'Alto, who has been writing short stories and poetry since she was an art history major at Barnard College. She has a master's degree from Columbia University and a law degree from City University of New York School of Law. D'Alto is already working on "The Suffering Room", a sequel to "He Counts Their Tears".
