Synopsis: 
When Aiden Stapleton, a successful private investigator, accepts to look into the murder of a seemingly ordinary college professor, he unwillingly crosses the paths of a government official eager to cover up traces of some shady research and a mysterious killer bound on revenge.&amp;amp;nbsp; Now five seemingly unrelated professors around the country are dead, an illegal “snow” lab had been burned to the ground, there is a crater in the Arizona desert where a secret experimental complex was located, and Aiden’s life is in danger. And all of those seemingly unrelated events have something to do with Project Cassandra.

Posting schedule: 
Since the chapters in this story are 5000 to 6000 words long, I decided to post one scene at a time. I will be posting a new scene twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays.

A bit more about this story:
This story is fully finished, but since it was the first novel I've ever written, it requires significant edits and rewrites. The version I will be putting here is the second rewrite. I tried to clean it up as much as I could, but please be advised that it's still pretty much a work in progress.All Rights Reserved

It sends me sprawling and collapsing to the ground. "Carrie!" I hear Morgan and Reid yell in unison. Darkness surrounds me and the gunshots echo and scream pass me. Glass shatters beside me and I feel my legs being dragged across the ground and place my back against a side of a car. I open my eyes barely and glass shatters above me. I press my hand against my neck and pull it away. A red trail runs down my hand and I look up and see someone that look extremely familiar just a few seconds ago. My vision became blurry and hard to see. I start to become extremely tired. I felt a hand press against my neck and winces throughout my body. I lowly grunt under my breath as it escapes me from the filled oxygen. I slightly open my eyes and see Reid. "Hey, just keep your eyes on me." He pulls his hand away and looks at the-the red liquid substances. "We need a medic!" His voice quivers. And since he doesn't ages, they keep him for experiments. Since they are very religious in there, they believe it's the Devil his son. After eight years, somehow Nigel keeps seeing this blonde-reddish boy visiting him. He tells him stories, being all cheeky and forces him to wait. The doctors around are trying anything to get that boy out of Nigel his mind, and when they don't succeed, they decide to use electroshock therapy for that. As Nigel threats to lose Alex, the connection between the two fades a lot. Alex has barely enough strength to stay around, and gets forced to find a body before he disappears forever. Strangely enough a patient passes by during Nigel his therapy. A suspicious girl that always wants to know everything that's going around. Since she is the only weak person of them all in a near distance, Alex gets into her body - being forced to share it with another soul. As soon as Nigel realizes that the girl isn't just somebody, and they can't get away from each other, there's only one option left. But what will happen? Will Alex get his body back?
