Akari Sohma is the younger fraternal twin sister of the current Head of the Sohma family and the God of the zodiac spirits, Akito Sohma. Unlike her twin, Akari is neither the God of the zodiac because she isn't the 'chosen one' nor has any zodiac spirit inside her like the cursed Sohma members. She is a normal regular young woman like anyone else, free from the curse, free from the bonds. The story is told from her perspective and how she views the world around her, how she feels about her twin, the zodiac members and the new addition to their lives, Tohru Honda... And also, it's her story of how she falls in love with a man who loves her older twin.
