His parents are absolutely heartbroken about his disease, but they try to stay strong in front of their son. For some reason, brain cancer doesn't stop him and instead of falling into depression, Magnus keeps partying and smoking weed, claiming that he going to die one day anyways. What happens when Magnus meets a boy named Alexander Lightwood who just completed eye surgery and finally got his eye sight back after years of being blinded from a horrible accident? Will Alec somehow make Magnus open up his heart and understand the seriousness in his own disease of will Magnus stay they way he is until the day he finally stops breathing? 😵

Magnus Bane was thirty-three, the world's first trillionaire, a man who had built an empire so vast it seemed to stretch across continents. He owned villas perched on cliffs, sprawling estates, penthouses with views of entire cities, fleets of cars and yachts, art collections, and companies whose influence dictated markets. He was brilliant, sharp-minded, and dangerously intelligent dominant by nature, short-tempered when tested, yet always fair in his own ruthless way. Handsome and magnetic, his body looked as though it had been carved by gods themselves. Magnus lived as men of his stature often did he indulged his appetites. Models, actresses, heiresses, socialites his bed was rarely cold. But for all his ruthlessness, he was not unkind. With the world he was merciless, yet with his family retired and peaceful in their Boston estate he remained a dutiful son. Discipline ruled his life. Each morning at precisely eight, he left his mansion flanked by bodyguards to command the empire he had built, Bane Enterprises. Alexander Lightwood was twenty-seven when he joined Bane Enterprises, a man brilliant in mind and beautiful in form. Tall and lean, with a sharp jawline and a complexion clear as glass, he carried himself with quiet dignity. The beloved son of Robert Lightwood, a retired surgeon, and Maryse Lightwood, a devoted mother, Alec had left his California home for Boston chasing new dreams. He wanted to learn, to grow, to make his mark and the greatest company in the world was his chosen stage. Magnus Bane who had ruled, conquered, and indulged without ever surrendering had fallen. Not gradually, not carefully, but completely. From the moment he saw Alec, he was lost. He tried to resist. He dated women, men, anyone who could distract him from the pull of that one man. But at the end of every night, his thoughts returned to Alec.

This is the story of Magnus Bane and Alec Lightwood, but you see, it is not just any story. This is a story of true love and heart break... Okay, time to cut this bull. This is a story about depression and rough times. I could lie to you to get you to read this but what good would that do? Why make you read it if you won't enjoy it? If you read this story you probably already know the main characters because this is a fanfiction story. If you found this on accident you might not want to read it because you will be easily confused, read The Mortal Instruments first so you won't be too confused. None of these are my characters, they all belong to Cassandra Clare who is an amazing author. This story goes in to depth with serious problems like depression and suicide, if you ever feel suicidal please call the suicide prevention lifeline at 1800-273-8255 or visit their website www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org
