"She watched silently as blood dripped off her father's lovely masterpiece. It wasn't his, but he was gone anyway, so it may as well have been. She looked around then, at anything else really. But everything was in utter chaos." When Caitlynn opens the door of a random car in an attempt to escape her pursuers, she doesn't expect to make a friend. As she becomes a larger part of her newfound friend's life, she struggles to keep him OUT of hers. With trouble around every corner and a life shrouded in mystery it's no surprise her friends are increasingly interested in the one thing Caitlynn doesn't want them involved in. But can she keep it a secret as her lifelong companions continuously warn her of the dangers ahead? Everyone knows she won't ever back down. Will she be able to protect her new friends from the horrors that await? Scar doesn't quite know what to make of Caitlynn at first, but she's fairly certain she likes her. Especially if Caitlynn can help her split up her older brother and his awful girlfriend. However the more she hangs out with her, the more odd things become. Nothing ever seems to make sense when it comes to this girl, which of course makes Scar even more curious. But Scar has no idea what she's getting herself into.
