This story is about the Table's Rose involving Marquis Vincent De Gramont, who people call The Marquis. Apparently there was the one thing that couldn't be touched by anyone, not even him, but she did know the ruthless who some call Wick. Things open her eyes only to reveal that there are less people she can consider foe... Dahlia is the one who could change anything she desires from a letter. She has power to keep people away, but some have already creeped their way into her life. But the person seems to have a interest in the one he couldn't touch even with the ranking of The Marquis. When the news reaches the king that his younger brother, parading around and calling himself "Shade", has taken part in starting these rebellions, he is furious, and sends his own personal assassin to take care of him and his followers. But when Mara has a face-to-face encounter with "Shade", she learns about a world she never knew existed, and meets people that she grew to love more than she ever thought possible. However, some people are still skeptical- how could someone this cold have such a sudden change of heart? And have her loyalties to the king diminished or grown stronger?
