Secondary school life in Nigeria has it up and down sides. There's love, sweat and tears, laughter and goosebumps. We go through it all unscathed or scarred for life. Sneak peak Jare's face contorted into that of pain as I uttered those words. A twisted side of me derived joy from seeing her break down. But when the anger had evaporated, I couldn't take back my words. My classmates looked at me like I was the devil incarnate. I had broken the school's happiest and perkiest girl and I couldn't take back my words. I left the class feeling nothing but self hatred.
