~ Adding a new twist to the infamous series Divergent by Veronica Roth ~ When Evelyn Johnson, mother of Tobias Eaton and wife of Marcus Eaton, fakes her death in order to escape the domestic abuse of her husband, she flees to the Factionless in hopes to find a haven. She's met with uncertainty and a certain guardedness from the very people she used to support by providing goods and food. Up until she reveals a secret that changes - and will change - everything: she's pregnant. She asks the Factionless for their help and they oblige out of sympathy once she recounts the trauma she went through. Astrid Johnson grows happily among the Factionless - she makes friends and feels included in the community, but her existence remains unknown of her father Marcus and her brother Tobias. Evelyn tells her their story and trains her from the earliest age to run, climb, fight, and also jump on and off moving trains. She raises Astrid with the idea that at age 16, she will join Dauntless and secretly look out for Tobias, whom Evelyn mostly lost sight of. Evelyn sees it as the only way to reconnect with her long-lost son, wishing he would join the boiling revolution among the Factionless. Except that obviously, things don't always go to plan. And infiltering the Dauntless under a false identity while under the terrifying scrutiny of Dauntless leaders is a near-suicide mission. ⚠️ TW: dark themes, such as domestic abuse, bullying, suicide, abusive authority figures, violence, drugs, sexual encounters... but highly graphic scenes are kept to a bare minimum to respect the tone of the original series ⚠️

Most people become factionless because they choose incorrectly or do not conform to the rules. Then these people meet other factionless people and one thing leads to another and they have a child. Now that child has to live a factionless, poor life because of the choices the parents made. That didn't happen to me but it has to many I know. No, I was giving away to a factionless man by my mother who got pregnant at 16 and didn't want to go to her new faction with me. The man, who was an ex dauntless and was kicked out, raised me and a few others. He looks after me and when he got too old, I took his role to raise others. A new law has passed and the factionless children are to be relocated to different factions and giving the chance to take the test and become a citizen of a faction of their choosing. They identify us because were not actually in the system. I choose the faction that would enable me to protect the factionless in the future, Dauntless. I know that one of the elderly leaders is due for retirement and that the person who comes out of training first would be chosen. I want to be that person to protect my people. The fighting, the training, the leaders, the fear people see, the bullying I can handle but one person sets my teeth on edge, Leader Eric Coulter. He questions me and pushes around others. From the start we have lashed out at each other. But is it fear linking us? Is it something more? Is it just we simply hate each other?

[Divergent/Hunger Games Crossover] What if the world outside the fence...is Panem? Ever since the revelation of a world beyond the factions, it has been turmoil in Tris's world. The factions and factionless have branched off into two groups—those who want to open the fence, and those who do not. But when the fence is mysteriously breached one day, Tris knows that the factions can't hide any longer. In the Capitol, President Snow has never tried to open the gates in the edge of district woods of District 9 and 3. He has never wondered about what lies in the gate once. Security has always been tight around the woods surrounding the gates but has never truly bothered with it at all. Until now. Before now, he has never thought that there would be anything or anyone in the gates. Now the guards around the gates are reporting suspicious things. Loud noises coming from the large area that the gates close off. The sound of old machinery. But even worse—they are all pointing to one thing: there may be civilization within the gates. President Snow cannot let the citizens of District 9 or 3 realize that there is a world within the gates—a world without the ruling of the Capitol. That will be another spark—a bigger one, added to that of the existence of Katniss Everdeen. That means one thing: destroy all civilization within the gates before they can contaminate Panem. [Set in Post-Insurgent and Catching Fire]

So I decided to come up with my own version :D I don't know if this is like copyright or something but oh well :D I hope you enjoy it, comment what you think of it and for any improvement :D And also this is my first book so I'm new and I'm not very good at it... Sorry for any spelling and grammar mistakes I'm not good at that either -.-
