A/N- Before I start, I just want to say that I mean no offence to anyone from France. These are just some things that I found out and wanted to share them.

1. Turning a baguette upside-down is considered unlucky.

2. The kipferl – ancestor of the croissant was born in the coffee shops of Vienna in the 13th century and is the original crescent-shaped morning sweet.

3. The French affectionately refer to their country as "L'Hexagone" ("the hexagon"), due to its geometrical shape.

4. The camera phone was invented in France in 1997.

5. Each new day in France sees two new cooking books.

6. Kilts originated in France, not Scotland.

7. In France, it is illegal to throw out any unsold but edible food.

8. France is the largest country in the EU.

9. France has won the most Nobel prizes in literature.

10. In 1910, there was a law which forbid couples from kissing on train platforms.

Hope you liked this chapter. If you're from France, or live there, put a little 🙋‍♀️or🙋‍♂️ in the comments.

I'm going to do a series of 10 countries just like this one. Tell me which country to do next in the comments!

Sorry for this slightly (excuse my language) shitty chapter. I totally forgot about this book today and I'm really sleepy rn 👉👈

If you have any feedback or suggestions that I could use to make this book better, feel free to message me with them!

Stay safe :)
