LATER THAT DAY, SKYLAR WAS putting little harriet to sleep for her daily nap. jackson was downstairs in the kitchen prepping dinner. jackson thought it was best for him to stay there to keep skylar company. also, because he didn't want to leave his niece here all alone in a house that is filled with many bittersweet memories
a knock from the door is what brought out jackson from his concentration. he lowered the heat from the stove and quickly ran to the door. as he opened it his eyes brows rose "how'd you know she was here?" he immediately questioned
"daniella" he shrugs
jackson nodded before stepping aside to let him in "come on in. she's up in her old room, putting down harriet" jackson informed him "go upstairs, take a left, and it's the one on the left"
he nodded before following the directions he was told. as he walked in he leaned against the door as he watched skylar rocking a sleeping harriet in her arms, skylar still not noticing, she got up, slowly and carefully she placed little harriet on her bed
"we should have kids, you'd be an amazing mom" he called out. skylar turning around with a bewildered look
"charlie" skylar said in shock, a brightening smile tugging onto her lips. she immediately ran into his arms
"hey sunshine" charlie smiled, as he lifted her into his arms
"i thought you were coming tomorrow night?" she questioned as she had her arms wrapped around his neck
"i did, but i got an earlier flight to come see my girl" he said with a grin, softly squeezing her lower thighs
skylar's lips tugging into a huge grin, her hands moving to cup his cheeks, leaning down slightly to connect their lips
"can you guys not kiss in the same room as my sleeping daughter?" jackson called out
skylar pulled away, a small chuckle leaving both their lips "so, we should have kids?" she teased with a grin
