"Dodge to the side like we learned yesterday!" I yowl at my new apprentice, Stormlily. She tries to pin down Tigerheart in a practice battle, but he rakes his claws across her ear, causing blood to spatter onto the dark green grass. "Hey! You have your claws out!" She yells at him. "This isn't a kittypet fight like your clan!" I snap at her before Tigerheart could answer. "Now, go back to your clan." She disappears, and Tigerheart whispers, "Can we meet tomorrow, just the two of us, at the old twoleg den?" I start nodding, then answer, "Ok, sure. See you tomorrow." I wake up in my nest near the back, and think about what tomorrow night would be like. I guess I do like him, even if we're in different clans. I daydream about Tigerheart, his handsome dark brown tabby coat shining in the Dark Forest light.
