On Friday morning when I woke up I took a shower. When I got out I put on my bathing suit and went to go blow dry my hair. I didn't put on any makeup because I was going to the beach so that would be kind of stupid.
"Can't you knock or something?" I asked as I heard my bedroom door open. I mean I was kind of half naked and I didn't want anyone seeing me half naked.
"I've seen you naked before calm down." Calum said and closed my door behind him.
"What do you want?" I asked and threw a t-shirt over my head.
"You." He said and walked closer to me. He put his hands on my waist and under my shirt that was actually Michael's but no one needed to know that.
"Calum no." I said and tried to get away from him so I could finish getting ready.
"Why not?" He asked and kept his hands on my waist.
"Because this is wrong. We can't do this anymore. You are Michael's friend, best friend actually and I am his sister. This is wrong." I said and took his hands off my waist and went to my dresser to get a pair of shorts.
"But it feels right." He said.
"But it is wrong. We can't do this anymore." I said and buttoned my high waisted shorts and let my shirt fall below my waist.
"Fine, if you don't want to do this anymore I won't make you. But that doesn't mean I won't think about it." He said and stuck his hands in his front pockets.
"Thank you." I said and put my stuff in my little bag thing.
"So what now then?" He asked and sat down on my bed.
"We be friends, and we act like friends who haven't seen each other naked. We act like we have been for the past couple weeks. We act normal." I said and brushed my hair one more time.
"So we're friends who's seen each other naked but we have to act like we haven't?" He questioned and leaned his back against my headboard.
"Exactly." I said and looked around my room to make sure I'm ready. After I decided I was ready and I had all of my stuff the two of us walked out of my room and downstairs where the others were.
"Are you guys ready?" Michael asked.
"Yea." I said and put my sunglasses on top of my head.
"Luke turn the music up." I yelled from the back of the car.
"It's loud enough." He said from the drivers seat. Luke and Michael were in the front, Ashton, KayKay, and Calum were in the middle, and me, Sierra, and Crystal were in the back.
"Come on I like this song." I said and rested my head on the seat in front of me which happened to be between Ashton and Calum's head.
"I'd like to be able to hear myself think while I'm driving." He said making me groan.
"Your boyfriends a buzzkill." I said to Sierra and slouched back in my seat.
"I heard that." He said.
"Good, maybe it'll make you less of a buzzkill." I said making the others laugh a bit.
"Michael your sisters annoying." He said and tightened the grip on the steering wheel.
"You can't hurt my feelings Luke." I said with a laugh.
"I'm just trying to make you less annoying." He said and I saw him look at me with a smirk on the rear view mirror.
"Touché." I said and crossed my arms over my chest.
When we got to the beach a little while later we all brought our stuff to an open area on the sand. The boys started playing around with the football away from us so they didn't get sand everywhere. Meanwhile us girls laid in the sand and tanned a bit before going in the water a little while later.
"Do you want a beer Mads?" Crystal asked.
"Yea sure." I said and sat up on my elbows and reached over to grab the drink.
"So Sierra." KayKay said and laid down on the large blanket between her and Crystal.
"Oh no." She said with a laugh.
"What is going on with you and Luke?" She said and turned her head to look at her.
"I don't know." She said with a smile and red cheeks and shrugged her shoulders.
"Well are you together or not? You've been flirting and hanging out for a couple weeks but you haven't told us anything." Crystal said and took a sip of her drink. We brought a lot of alcohol which wasn't too surprising for us. We'd probably end up getting really drunk which isn't really a good thing to be out in public but at this point we didn't care. We just wanted to have fun.
"I'm not really sure honestly. I mean I really like being with him and spending time with him, and he said he likes me but I don't know. I guess we're just hanging out or something I have no idea." She said and put her hand over her forehead.
"He probably just wants to take it slow. He's a nice boy and he really cares so he's probably just making things go slow so things last longer." I said and shrugged my shoulders.
"Yea maybe. I like where we are right now though so I'm not really complaining." She said.
"So Maddy I've noticed you're the only on of us not in a relationship or close to one." Crystal said and looked over Sierra and KayKay to look at me.
"That would be correct." I said and pushed my sunglasses up on my nose.
"Calum also happens to be in the same situation as you." She said which made me sit up and look at her.
"Are you suggesting that Calum and I become a thing?" I asked in surprise and disbelief.
"Well everyone else is a thing so why not?" She said innocently.
"There's plenty of reasons why not. First of all he is Michael's best friend and Michael would kill both of us. Second of all he's the biggest asshole and the most arrogant person I think I've ever met in my life. He's not my type at all, literally at all." I stated firmly and watched her put her hands up in surrender.
"I guess you're right, I'm sorry. I just don't want you to get lonely or something." She said which made me a little less annoyed and angry at her simple suggestion.
"I won't get lonely. I enjoy the single life. There no drama, no boys to cheat on me or make me feel like shit. Everything is smooth sailing right now." I said and leaned on my elbows and looked up at the clear blue sky.
"It's been too long since you've been in a relationship. Don't you think you should start looking around?" KayKay said and took a sip from her drink.
"I'm just going with the flow at the moment. I'm just letting God guide me to where I'm supposed to be and let the things that are supposed to happen find me instead of the other way around." I said and waved my drink around which made them laugh.
"How drunk are you?" Sierra asked with a laugh.
"No idea." I said and took another sip of the drink that Crystal had made me. I had no idea what was in it but it was good so I wasn't complaining.
"Let's go in the water." I said after a couple minutes.
"Are you sober enough for that?" KayKay asked worriedly.
"Yea totally let's go." I said and stood up from my spot on the blanket.
"We're gonna have to keep an eye on her." Crystal said as the three of them followed me over to the water.
For a while the four of us were just kind of standing in a circle at waist level just talking and catching up a bit. I have no idea how long we were standing there but it didn't matter because they were my girls.
When the boys came over to us we all kind of spread out a bit more. The couples were off doing their own thing so I just kind of stood there looking off at the ocean.
"Whatcha looking at?" Calum asked and stood next to me.
"Just looking at the water." I said and tilted my head to the side a bit.
"Seems like you have something on your mind." He said and looked down at me. I was trying not to get distracted by his amazingly good looking body. Most of the reason was because I was a bit tipsy and I didn't fully trust myself around him when I wasn't 100% sober. But I wasn't able to deny the fact that he was a really attractive human being, especially without a shirt.
"Just thinking about all the work I'm gonna have to do this weekend." I said and heard him chuckle a bit.
"Need a stress reliever?" He said with a smirk.
"I'm pretty sure we went over this this morning." I said and looked up at him and crossed my arms over my chest.
"Yes we did, but that was before you were standing in front of me only in a bikini." He said and I rolled my eyes.
"You need to get your hormones or whatever under control." I said and shook my head and looked back at the ocean.
"You should be flattered that I'm trying this hard. I don't usually put this much effort into sleeping with someone." He said matter of factly, as if that would flatter me at all.
"Well I'm sorry to break it to you but you hitting on me and only wanted to sleep with me doesn't flatter me. You've got the wrong girl for that. Plus if you don't put in the effort with other girls why do you with me?" I said.
"Because you're good in bed." He said and shrugged his shoulders and making me let out a scoff.
"You're welcome." He said after I stayed silent.
"I don't take that as a compliment." I said and narrowed my eyes a bit even though he couldn't see through my sunglasses.
"I thought we agreed to pretend none of that happened?" I asked a couple minutes later.
"I thought that was just around everyone else." He said innocently.
"No I meant in general." I stated.
"Fine." He said and put his hands in the pocket of his shorts.
"Can we just be friends please? Like normal friends because I can't do this whole you hitting on me thing anymore?" I pleaded and looked up at him.
"Why because you'll second guess yourself?" He said with a smirk and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Calum I swear to god." I said and rubbed my temples.
"I'm sorry I'm sorry. I'll stop alright I swear." He said with a laugh and put his hands up in surrender.
"Thank you." I said with a sigh and the two of us continued to look off at the ocean in silence.
