After our wedding my parents asked us to meet them in the parking lot.
"We didn't buy you a house or anything. Stay on your husband's house. We don't like to see your face. Bahala ka sa buhay mong pokpok ka." Mama said.
"Wala na kaming pakialam sayo. Go to hell. Buti na lang at wala na malas sa buhay namin at wala ng kamalasan sa bahay."
"Mama. Papa. Kahit po ganyan kayo sa akin I still love you both. You can visit me if you want or we will visit you at home. Here's the addre--" Papa cut me off.
"No need. We can survive without your presence and without your filthy face."
"Sir. Ma'am...." Papa raised his hand.
"Tumigil ka. Huwag kang makekealam dito. This between me and my family. You're not even part of it."
"Papa!"
"You're not my daughter! Wala kaming anak!"
"But Sir...."
*slap*
Mama slapped Tanzanite.
"Umalis na kayo dito before we make a scene. This is so embarrassing. Look at you Aqua pati pag pili sa lalaki, hindi ka magaling. He's bastos, walang respeto."
"He was just protecting me. He loves me unlike you and Papa. You never loved me the way I loved you. He's different. He made me feel I'm loved and special."
"Umalis na kayo!" Papa said.
"Say sorry to him first."
"It's okay Aqua. Let's just go." He held my hand.
We went inside the car and he started to drive.
I was sitting inside the car with tears in my eyes until I feel asleep.
