Since the battle against Bruno Manhin, you and Kendo along with Vlad King and Dracuul had all agreed on one thing (as did UA); provisional licenses are needed for you first years. This year, the heroics course seemed much more determined to make a name for themselves and do the right thing. So the school decided that in order to make sure these young heroes did not get in trouble for doing your job. So, you guys began to work your asses off to train. So, you guys went out to a facility for the test.
Tetsutetsu: I still can't believe this is happening. I guess we should be thanking you, (Y/N).
(Y/N): It was just a matter of circumstance.
Tokage: Still. You guys think this will be easy?
Kendo: I wouldn't bet on it. Still, I think this will be pretty sweet.
Vlad King: That's enough chit-chat. You have a test to complete. And...nice work you kids.
You smiled as Vlad King ushered you guys inside. There had to be at least over a thousand kids in that room, all aiming to become pro heroes. You and your classmates were surprised by the sheer number so the intimidation factor went up.
Kendo: Stick together guys. We can handle this.
From the stage in front of the room, a man arose, looking like a pro hero himself. Shishida was able to recognize him as "Test Man". An old school hero, clearly aging but just enthusiastic about his job at the Public Safety Admission. From there, the old guy went on to explain the exam to you guys and how everything was going to work out.
Test Man: So, getting down to the basics! Over 1500 of you fledgling heroes will be competing in a free for all exercise. Since the arrest of Stain, the retirement of All Might, and other battles involving the lack of powerful heroes, which means there are too many of you in the field. Honestly, the time from when an incident begins and when it ends is ridiculously short. You are all here trying to receive your provisional licenses so you'll be swept up in this tiresome mess yourselves. Those who don't have the speed won't cut it. So, only the first 100 will be up for consideration after this first test.
Dread filled the room. Instantly chatter among peers could be heard for miles as everyone was in shock by the results.
Kendo: Hundred people? There are more than 1500 already taking this exam!
(Y/N): Less than 1% of us. (To yourself) God help me.
Test Man: The world is cruel like that you noobies. So, rules. Each examinee will place three targets along his or her body. They can go anywhere so long as it is exposed. Each student will also be given six balls. When the balls hit the target, they light up. If all three of your targets are lit up, then you are out. You pass by eliminating 2 people. We'll give you time while we open up.
Tokage: Open?
Suddenly, the walls and ceiling of the room folded outward and it was revealed you all were in some massive arena with different environments left and right.
(Y/N): Oh yeah. Now I've seen it all.
Kendo gave you a bit of a smug look. So, with the targets prepared, the other students took off towards different regions of the area. Kendo issued every one to stay close no matter what, something everyone was in agreement for. The next thing you knew was the match began and nearly every single school tried to attack UA. Of course, you guys were able to fight back against them and then unleashed your own attack.
Shishida used his strength from Beast to shake up the ground and throw other schools off their game. Bondo used his quirk to create a wall around 1-B in order to remain safe from the balls. Kodai used her quirk to expand the wall and better defend everyone. You acted like a scout and flew upward to lure some people in close. Kamakiri, Pony, Monoma, and Shoda used their quirks to affect everyone long ran, already knocking a few students onto the ground.
(Y/N): Kamakiri, Pony, Monoma, Shoda! Those are for you!
Pony: On it!
Once those four had passed, Manga used a similar effect, bringing out explosions to clear the area out. Tokage broke off her hands and was able to pass within moments since she got the sneak attack in. Shishida was next to pass with Manga as they each used their super-strong quirks to clear out opponents which then allowed Kuroiro, Komori, Tsuburaba, and Rin to pass as they took advantage of the knockouts.
You guys regrouped back into the cement wall and smiled at one another in success.
Tetsutetsu: We got this one, guys!
(Y/N): Don't get too cocky now! Still, half the class that needs to pass!
Suddenly, half the wall blew up and launched Kodai, Ibara, and Yanagi away. You glanced out and saw a few students standing on a ledge, looking down at you. They smirked and ran towards you, some of them already throwing the balls. Two of them hit Bondo on his targets. Just before the third one hit, you sacrificed one of your targets and blocked it from him. Bondo quickly remade the wall and turned to you into cover.
(Y/N): Damn it! We were so close!
Kendo: We need to scatter and regroup! We're easy targets out here!
(Y/N): Then there's those guys rushing in!
Honenuki: I can soften the ground! That will stop those guys and get us some targets.
(Y/N): You'll need some backup if you do that!
Kendo: I can take Bondo, Awase, and Tetsutetsu. If you guys are planning on hitting them that way.
Tetsutetsu: I'm not running from a fight.
(Y/N): Tetsutetsu, you're not running. It's strategically falling back. Kaibara cut them a hole, and then dig underground.
Kaibara nodded and did as told. He drilled into the other side of the wall and peered out once a hole was made. To his surprise, almost no one was there.
Kendo: They must have given up due to our defenses.
(Y/N): Then keep up the illusion. Go!
Awase followed out as did Tetsutetsu. Before Kendo ran out, she looked back at you. You gave her a wink and a smile. She returned the smile and got herself and Bondo out of there. Kaibara then began to dig underground as you picked up Honenuki and fly over the battlefield. The other schools must have seen because balls from different directions came at you both. Honenuki nodded and you dropped him onto the ground and dove after him.
You quickly grabbed him as you both dodged the balls thrown by the other school and then launched yourselves forward. You tossed Honenuki along the ground and he quickly made the ground like quicksand, nice and soft. The other school began to sink until the ground gave out and they flew even deeper much faster. Kaibara was quickly announced to pass. Honenuki also passed. The third guy attack you all had one of his targets hit already. You quickly eliminated him and got one.
Honenuki: Sorry man. I didn't realize that-
(Y/N): It's fine. I gotta go find everyone else. See you guys soon!
You then took off back to where the others presumably were. While running, you heard that three more people had passed, making the top 50 already through. While you could have passed earlier, you wanted to make sure Kendo passed first. You then heard another person pass, but that distracted you well enough to nearly get him again. You purposefully stopped flying and transformed into your wolf form when you landed. However, a hang grabbed you and pulled you into cover.
When you returned to your human self you saw it was Kendo.
(Y/N): Kendo!
Kendo: Hey.
(Y/N): How we doing?
Kendo: So far, it's just us, Tetsutetsu and Awase. How many more do you need?
(Y/N): One target. You?
Kendo: Same boat. We've been pinned down though for a bit. And without Ibara and Bondo's shielding, I'm not sure how we'll get through this.
(Y/N): We can manage this. Shall we?
Kendo smiled and you both peeked out from cover. You leapt out of cover and transformed into a wolf and charged forward. Kendo punched the wall and threw some of the stones forward into the other competitors. You tackled one to the ground as Kendo ran over. You transformed into a human and roundhouse kick the other. Kendo punched the other onto the ground and hit their final target as you hit yours as well.
Your targets light up green, signifying you guys had passed.
PA: Four more have passed the exam. The top 75 have now passed.
You and Kendo looked at one another until you heard a yell of victory. You both turned around and saw Tetsutetsu and Awase on a cliff.
Tetsutetsu: WE DID IT!!!
You smiled at Kendo.
(Y/N): We did it.
She smiled back at you.
