Karan is in his office with Sameer briefing him about the next project when his PA enters,
Karan: Yes?
Ravi: Sir Mr.Sharma wants to speak to you.His PA called.
Karan looks at Sameer who is confused about the same,
Karan: Everything all right?
Sameer: Yes bhai..... everything is good!
He nods,
Karan: Ok get him on the line.
Ravi: Yes sir.
Ravi goes out to connect his call to Karan's,
Karan: Good Evening Mr.Sharma.Hope everything is good with the deal.
He directly gets to the point,
Arun: Good Evening Karan......Yes you are doing good and I am happy with the outcome.
Karan proudly sees his brother,
Karan: All the credit goes to my brother.He is working really hard on this.
Sameer smiles at him while Arun gets impressed,
Arun: He goes on his brother.Doesn't he?
Karan(smiling): He goes on himself. Anything you wanna discuss about Mr.Sharma?
Arun understands he doesnt like to beat around the bush,
Arun: Yes not about the deal but about my daughter.I need a favor Karan for Aadya.
Karan frowns,
Karan: Tell me I will help you if I can?
Arun: Actually some event is going to start in the college I think you know about it.
Karan then remembers the posters he had seen in the block,
Karan: It's Milan!
Arun: Yes..........she is participating in it.But Karan if she fails in doing anything properly she gets down so easily. She needs guidance and support so I want you to help her through this event.
Before Karan says,
Arun: I don't want to see her as winner Karan I just wanna make her learn things in the right way with the right one.And you....... are the right one for her.I am sure she learns many things in this journey.
Karan is not at all liking the conversation,
Karan: I am glad that you found me as the right one Mr.Sharma but I am sorry I am not.
Arun stills,
Karan: I always keep my profession and passion seperate.I don't like to mingle them.
Aadya is one of the good students of mine.What you said is true she needs little guidance and unfortunately I am not the right person for........that.I am sure you will find the right one.Hope you understand what I am trying to say Mr.Sharma.
Arun is totally surprised as he thought Karan will give in to his demands,of course for the deal.But Karan simply and smoothly rejected it and Arun got impressed again.
Arun: No worry Karan I understand but I want to say that You are the right person for her and I have no doubt in that.
Karan: Thank you for your confidence in me but I am sorry.And anything about the deal I am always there to listen you.
He said hinting him he is purely having a business relation with him,
Arun: I know.Have a nice day young man.Will meet some day!
Karan: Looking forward to meet you Mr.Sharma.Nice day to you too!
He puts off the call,
Arun: You are impressing me so much Karan.More than my daughter I am flattered.You are already in my business but I want you in my family.You knew my intention is something else and thats the reason you denied.Sure you are the young blood but I have the wise one......I know how to make you accept my........ daughter!
He smirks giving an order to his PA.
While on the other side, Karan is thinking about Mr.Sharmas words ,
Sameer: What is he saying?
Karan: Asking me to help his daughter for an event in the college.
Sameer: And you said No!
Karan slightly nod,
Karan: But why me?
He looks at Sameer for his answer,
Sameer: Because she is your student.You will know more about the event and you can her help her to win.
Karan thinks about what he said,
Karan (thinking): No I expect something else from that wise blood.His words hint me something deep.What's that?
Sameer: Maybe it is as simple as I said bhai!
Karan: Maybe (mind) or May not be!
IN COLLEGE
Rishi and gang is at class room discussing about others who are participating.Preetha is outside sitting on the parapet wall in the corridor making a phone call,
Karan: Itna jaldi yaad kiya? Kya baath hein madam?
He is checking the designs when she called so he speaks in the bluetooth,
Preetha: Kyun? Yaad nai karna hein kya?
Karan: Aise nai hein bas......acha chalo bolo classes hogaya?
Preetha: One more left.
Karan: Ok.....lunch?
Preetha: Hmmm.....thum?
Karan: Hmmm
Preetha realizes he is busy but his tone seemed.........disturbed,
Preetha (softly): Karan kya hua? thoda disturbed lag rahe ho.
Karan: Disturbed.... nothing yaar.I am cool and fine.
He says seeing the drawings on the screen keenly,
Preetha: Mein thumhe jaanthi hu bathao kya baath hein?
For a second his finger stops on the cursor,
Karan: Sach mein jaanti ho?
Preetha(caring) : Apni dil ko nai jaanthi hu kya mein.
And he instantly gets relaxed and resumes doing his work smiling ,
Preetha: Ab smile karna band karo aur bathao kya hua?
He stops again widening his eyes,
Karan: Thumhe kaise pata ki mein smile kar raha hu?
Preetha: Because my heart is with you and it smiles when you smile,it gets angry when you are angry and it gets sad when you are sad.
A smile steals his lips and he leisurely lays back on his chair leaving the cursor,
Preetha: ab bolo kya hua?
Karan: Mr.Sharma ne baath kiya aur request kar raha tha ki mein uski beti ko help karu.
Preetha (confused): Okkk? Par thum hi kyun?
Karan: Wahi baath mujhe samaj nai aa raha hein........thumhe pata hein wo keh raha tha ki I am the right one for her.I can only guide her etc etc.Kuch der keliye Mujhe laga wo guidance keliye nai marriage keliye puch raha hein.
Preetha frowns hearing him,
Preetha(sternly) : Thumne kya kaha?
He smirks understanding the difference in her tone,
Karan: Itna pyaar se puch raha tha wo mana karne ka dil hi nai aaya.
Preetha understands his smirk,
Preetha(angry) : Karan Luthra soch samajke bolo!
Karan: Cool woman.....I am just joking.
Preetha(sternly and slowly) : What......did.....you..... say?
Karan(rolling his eyes): I said if I accept your wrong one my right one will kill me.Guess I said true.
She takes a deep breath calming herself,
Preetha(shrugging): Of course you did!
Karan: Huh!
He huffs while he remembers something,
Karan: Hey I heard about Milan.Is that true?
Preetha too remembers why she called him in the first place,
Preetha: Yes!
Karan(slightly excited): So you will be free for the next few days haa?
Preetha: No!
Karan: Why?
Sighing she explains about it without saying her inclusion part but Karan can conclude it,
Karan: So you along with your gang are gonna take part?
Preetha: Hmmmmm
Karan: That means you will be busy for the next month?
Preetha: Hmmm
Karan: So all our meetings are cancelled!
Preetha: Hm
Her voice lowers while his voice increases with each question,
Karan: Great!
She doesn't respond sensing he is upset,
Preetha (slowly): Karan this is my last year I want....
Interrupting karan speaks,
Karan: I understand Preetha.No need to explain.Ok forget it ......so dinner tonight?
Before she replies she hears Rishi calling her,
Rishi: Mickey thum yaha kya kar rahi ho?
(Seeing the phone in her hand) kisse baath kar rahi ho?
Preetha thinks for a second,
Preetha: Family.
Rishi: Ok........I came here to tell you that we all are going for pub tonight and then to dinner.So be ready by 7 I will pick you up.
He goes as fast as he said hearing Vicky's call without even waiting for her reply,Preetha sees her mobile,
Preetha: Hello?
Karan: Yeah.........I think you are not having time.
Preetha: N....no
Karan: I have some work I will talk to you later.Bye and enjoy!
He puts off the call unable to speak to her.If he is disturbed before her call he is annoyed, irritated and frustrated now.He just didn't like everything at that moment.
AFTER A WEEK
A week pass by with Rishi and gang waiting for the next curriculum.Preetha has continuous classes as from next week the competition starts and they won't be attending any.
She is walking to the auditorium as the authorities called all the groups who registered for the event.They want to have a foretalk to explain about the competition.
Preetha(mind): Kya hein sab? Mujhe kuch pasand nai aa raha hein!(looking at her phone in her hand) ek call bhi nai kar raha hein yeh.agar mein karegi bhi tho fat se cut kar raha hein.mujhse baath bhi nai kar raha hein.Baath tho kar sakte heina? Ek baar call kartha tho kya hojatha?
Huffing she walks inside the full auditorium.She sits beside Rishi and the coordinator goes on to the podium.
Coordinator: Good Morning students.........I am so glad you have all registered for the event and you guys look so enthusiastic about it.Arent you?
All of them shout loudly,
Coordinator: Ok i understand you are over enthusiastic so without wasting time let me explain about it.........The competition has 5 stages.We have 10 groups registered so in every stage 2 groups will be knocked out basing on their performance and it continues till the 5th.On the last stage you will be performing before the guests and they will decide the winners.
Vicky: Sir what are the stages?
Speaker: That's where the whole thing lies.......you will be told about the each stage of competition before two days and you will have to prepare and perform within the time limit.
Students see each other anxiously sensing it is going to be a tough and rough one.The coordinator senses this,
Coordinator: Don't worry guys you have your mentors with you.They will help you in each stage.Just keep the spirits up and believe in you.You will rock it.
They smile hearing the encouraging words,
Coordinator: To keep it more interesting you people are going to name your groups.From now on you will be called with your group names so discuss within yourselves I will be back after 10 mins.
For the next 10 mins the auditorium is full of chaos,
Coordinator: I am back......I hope you are ready.I will call the names tell me your mentor and group name one by one, I will note it down.First is Sindhu's.....
And the names goes by with fighters,challengers etc etc.
Coordinator: Next is Aadya's.
Aadya stands up smiling,
Aadya: Our mentor is Karan sir and our group name is.....
"Wings"
They hear a voice and all turn back to see the man in light green shirt tucked inside black trousers looking dashing as usual.All got surprised and Preetha is shocked seeing Karan walking towards Aadya's group.
Coordinator: Hey karan......good to see you here.
Karan: Me too sir.
Coordinator: So you are the mentor?
Karan: Yes.....
Coordinator: Group name?
Karan: Wings.
Coordinator surprised: Wings?
Karan: Yes sir......Wings of an eagle.They help the eagle to rise and shine and I want the same for my group.
His group eberes sile with Aadya siling too uch than usual,
Coordinator: Thoughtful.Guys you got one of the best mentors.All the best.
He says to the group and calls Rishi's as the next one,
Coordinator: Rishi who is your coordinator?
Rishi: Sir we are enough as we are the best in everything.
Coordinator: So confident I like it........Ok I will keep you as mentor and what's the group name.
Rishi smirks before saying,
Rishi: Claws!
Coordinator: Claws?
Rishi: Yes sir eagles steal their prey with their claws and we will do the same.We are gonna steal the show.
He says it so confidently and looks at Karan who feels it as a challenge,
Coordinator: Interesting......I think this year I am gonna see a battle.But guys don't kill each other take it sportively and give your best.Your first stage of competition will be revealed to your mentors soon.All the best everyone.
Taking the papers he leaves the podium and the students too. Preetha who is shocked by everything just sits there still,
Rishi: Mickey chalo....
He gives her his hand to stand and nodding she takes it looking at Karan who is speaking to his group.
