"What if she doesn't accept?"

Freya stared at Cami for a few moments. That question had been running in her mind ever since they found out about Aliza.

A fear that made her heart twist because she loved her youngest niece, even though she had only known her for a few months, and her rejecting to be a part of the family was a thought Freya despised with everything.

So far what they had made Freya nothing but happy, though she missed Hope. She wanted nothing more than for the two girls to meet and get to know each other.

Become sisters.

"I don't know. I just hope she does." She replied, running her finger over the edge of her wine glass.

"To be fair, it's hard to predict what Ali thinks or does next." Marcel supplied. It was a part of the reason why he adored her. There was no way to figure Aliza out, something that was valid when came to Hope too.

Cami smiled, "You love her, don't you?" her words directed at Marcel who smiled back.

"Of course I do. I love both of them."

"I certainly would want to see Aliza and Hope meet," Cami said, she took a sip of her drink. Finn and Klaus had a bitter relationship, filled with hurt, anger, and betrayal. To watch their daughters interact would certainly be a sight. Cami wished they both get along well, without being burdened by the mistakes made by their fathers.

They both deserved to be happy.

"May I come in?"

Aliza lifted her head to see Elijah, who stood outside the room, holding the door slightly ajar.

She sat on the bed with her books open, Camille had assigned her homework and some worksheets to practice. Aliza was pleased to try them out. She was more than okay to do her homework for the sense of normality it provided her.

"Sure."

Elijah smiled and opened the door to step inside. He walked further into the room and took a seat on the chair beside the bed, near the window.

"I hope I am not interrupting?"

She shook her head, "Nah. I was just going to wrap up and go to sleep. Uncle Vin told me he and Bonnie will teach me magic tomorrow."

"Are you excited?" Elijah asked in a polite tone.

Aliza thought for a moment before she spoke.

"I don't know. I mean I read about magic, it isn't what I thought it would be." The whole magic mambo jumbo was making her feel odd. There were many different kinds of magic, all of them scary in their way.

She wasn't expecting 'Blood Magic' to be a thing. Then there was dark magic that made Aliza's stomach churn as she read how bad it was. She was expecting something light-hearted, like Merlin where you just say spells.

But that wasn't the case, there were rituals and covens and forms of witchcraft that required blood, sacrifices, and whatnot. She wondered what coven did Vincent, Mithila, and Rome belong to. They didn't tell her much about the type of witchcraft they practiced. She didn't push the topic, they dismissed her saying that it had been a long time since they last practiced proper witchcraft.

"There is no need for you to be scared. I'm sure Vincent and Miss Bennett will not teach you anything that would be deemed as evil or require you to do something that you do not wish to do." Elijah said, his voice firm, it made her feel a little better.

"What will they teach me?"

Elijah regarded her with a thoughtful look and said, "You will learn to control the elements of nature."

"The four alchemical elements?" She asked.

"You will go beyond them. Other elements such as lightning, smoke, ice, metal, even spirits."

"Spirits?"

Elijah nodded, "Of course. I don't know how, but I suppose you will be able to communicate with them."

Aliza stared at him, weirded out by knowing that she would become a walking, talking ouija board.

Huh.

How many real-life horror stories occurred because of an ouija board?

Then again, she was seeing that man, wasn't she? And so far he had been nothing but an enjoyable company.

"I owe you an apology."

She frowned, "And why is that?"

Elijah sighed, "Ever since our conversation in the cafe, I have been avoiding you. I'm sorry."

"Dude, why are you saying sorry to me? Shouldn't it be the other way around?"

"I don't suppose how?"

Aliza paused, thinking of the appropriate thing to say, she didn't wish to act like an idiot the way she did in that cafe. Elijah didn't have to agree with her opinions. Her words didn't even matter.

Sure there were certain things that she found hard to accept like daggering your brother for 900 hundred years because you didn't want to listen to him criticize the homicidal tendencies that come along with the package of being a vampire or hunting an innocent person because they ran from you to save their life after finding out that you were planning to 'sacrifice' them for breaking some curse.

She said, "Look, even when you told me that you and your elder brother never liked each other, it doesn't mean watching him die, twice, was not traumatizing. I have no right to tell you how you feel but I'm sure you must be regretting a certain amount of your actions that you committed towards Finn. You avoiding me was a natural response. You have nothing to be sorry for. I approached that topic quite bluntly and I am sorry for that."

Elijah took a deep breath, barely suppressing the content smile that graced his lips.

"You should go to sleep. You have a long day ahead."

He stood up from the chair and gave her a sharp nod before making his way to the door. The moment he stepped outside, he turned around bid her good night, smiling when Aliza waved at him. He closed the door gently and strode towards the end of the hallway where the stairs were.

"I didn't expect you to tell her about Finn."

Rebekah's voice was soft with a hint of amusement in it, there was no sign of judgment or accusation. Elijah preferred talking about this with her instead of his other siblings.

"She asked, I couldn't just tell her nothing. Aliza would've tried to find out about Finn anyway." He shrugged, lifting his head to look at his sister who was leaning against the handrail.

"She reminds me of Kol sometimes. It's funny." Rebekah smiled, just a little.

Elijah chuckled.

She sighed, "Elijah what are we doing?"

"I don't understand."

"I heard what Klaus said that night."

Elijah pressed his lips together and averted his gaze.

"You and I both know how Niklaus can be."

Rebekah stood straighter, "Do we, Elijah?" She took a step towards him, "Do we honestly know that?"

"Rebekah, please. I am aware that you don't like Ali-"

"I care about her."

Elijah looked up to see Rebekah's eyes glistening with unshed tears.

"I get that Aliza needs that sword but I don't think she needs us. Elijah, we are lying to her. Even if we tell her the truth, we can't tell her everything. Any person in their sane mind will never accept us after finding out the things we've done. What makes you think that us becoming a part of her life, us, will do her any good? You saw what happened to Hope."

Elijah's chest ached, he took a deep breath and stepped forward pulling Rebekah in an embrace.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think Rebekah was much smarter than Elijah, despite her poor choice of lovers. She seemed more diplomatic and realistic than her brothers. I believe that had Finn been given more time, he and Rebekah would've gotten along to a certain extent.

Don't forget to vote and/or comment!

I fucking hated Supernatural's ending.

Like 15 glorious years, all went down in shit.

Tbh I am highly disappointed to the point where I can't even talk about it.
