Out of the Dark & Into the Light
A/N: This story is written by Katara Melody Cullen. If you have any questions, post them in my reviews and I will answer them in my next Author's Note at the bottom of the chapter. This is not a full chapter, but I thought I would give you something to look forward to it's not edited, and I know it's only half a chapter but I thought I would post something so you can know that I haven't forgotten the people who read this story.
Chapter 34
(Crystal's POV)
I had just finished changing Aribelle's bloody attire and left her lying on the bed asleep with the covers covering her. I made my way down the stairs and into the living room where everyone was except for Jackson. I saw Seth and Leah cradling each baby in their arms. It was quite a sight to see, the sixteen-year-old Seth holding his baby boy, while Leah was holding her baby niece.
I decided to let Seth and Leah have their time with the babies, and I will get my chance later.
"Jasper, would you like to come with me to go buy formula and other baby items?" I asked, making my way toward him.
He looked away from Seth and Leah, nodded his head, and gestured for me to take his hand. Which I did, we both made our exit and headed towards the front door. Jasper opened the door, and there stood Maddie with her fist raised mid-air getting ready to knock on the door until Jasper opened it.
"Maddie, what are you doing here?" I asked her curiously while eyeing her up and down. I noticed she had three bags by her feet full of stuff.
Maddie was a petite looking blonde with striking blue eyes, she always had the widest smile on her face.
Maddie also had a split personality when it came to hunting down vampires or werewolves which came in handy. She had a certain look to her when she would go out hunting like me, she would have her pulled sometimes into a high ponytail or pigtails with pink and blue streaks going through her hair, thanks to our friend Rose hair changing spell.
Maddie also had her trusty favorite baseball bat that she calls Quinn and her twin handguns, one was black with gold and the other was gold and black. She also had Damien engrave Love on the black and gold handgun and Lost on the gold and black one.
I know you are thinking the same thing that I was thinking was she a fan of Harley Quinn from Batman, but the answer is no, she loves the harlequin books instead.
"Oh, Crystal I'm glad I caught you; I bought formula, bottles, diapers, and baby clothes." She said with a huge smile lifting two heavy bags and motioning to the car where the rest of the bags were.
Jasper gave her a grateful smile and went to her car to gather the rest of the bags; I also smiled and took the other two bags that were at her feet and led her into the house and the living room.
"So, he's hot!" She started with a smirk.
I decided to play along and add a little smirk of my own and said, "Yes, he is. He's even more attractive when he's in Major mode."
"So, what is he like? Are the stories true about him? Is he really that dangerous, or is he like a lovable teddy bear?"
"I can be extremely dangerous when it comes to those who threaten the life of my wife and kids, and our family." Jasper walks into the room with the bags and tells her with a devious smirk.
I slapped the back of his head, and he let out a grunt. "Oh, stop it, he can be both dangerous, deadly, serious, sarcastic, and moody, but he's a very smart, loving mate, and would do anything to keep me happy, protected, and safe. I already know he is going to be a great father because of the way he was so concerned about finding Kenzie, he was more concerned than I was. And the only reason I was not as concerned was since I knew jasper and I trained our kids to be extremely dangerous."
Jasper was giving me such an intense stare that I felt like he was looking into my soul, I couldn't help but stare deep into his golden eyes.
We were brought out of our intense gaze with the sound of a loud cough, we turned our gaze away from each other and looked at Maddie who had the widest Cheshire grin on her face.
"Sorry about that Maddie, when Jasper gives me that stare it seems to make me forget about my surroundings. I'm glad that it hasn't led to me becoming clothless."
"I can tell, well I'm going to go find Jackson since I have some stuff to give him, that he wanted Rose to hold for him," Maddie told us, making her way out of the room and towards Jackson's study. "Bye Tally, and Jasper."
"I'm going to make the bottles for the babies and give them to Seth and Leah so they can feed them," I told him.
"Okay, Darlin, while you do that I'm going to go check and see if Belle is awake, and make sure Kenzie is doing okay." He kissed me on the lips softly, and made his way up the stairs, with bags of clothing, and diapers.
Making my way into the kitchen, I took out the pink bottles and pacifiers, and then the blue bottles and the pacifiers getting them ready to wash and sanitize them for the babies to use.
It took an hour for me to wash the bottles and then sanitize them. When I was finally done, I put the water in the bottle, next I put in the formula shaking it so it could turn into milk, I then placed a little bit of blood inside of the bottles. I'm not even sure if they're going to need to drink blood, but I wasn't taking any chances since they are half vampire and half shapeshifter.
I was placing the top on the bottles when Leah walked in, I handed her both bottles, and she took it with a smile, and thanked me before walking out of the kitchen.
Sitting down on one of the stools, I took this time to think about all the things I must do before I even thought of going back to Forks, Washington. First thing first I must patrol again to make sure there's no trouble around town with the vamps. Second, I must find a way to send my children back to the future, without changing the timeline. Third Jasper and I are supposed to be visiting his friends Charlotte and Peter. Fourth I still must introduce Jasper to the rest of my friends. Finally try to figure out what Jackson is hiding from me, and to meet this horrible girlfriend that Damien has been telling me about.
I was so deep in thought that I didn't hear Maddie sneaking up behind me, with her signature grin. She then pounced on my back, causing me to jump in fright.
"What the hell Mads, you seriously scared me," Placing my hand on my chest, I waited for my heart to calm down.
"Sorry Puddin."
"Did I not tell you to stop calling me that."
"Yup, but I decided to ignore you, Tally."
I rolled my eyes at her, softly smiling at her, I stood up and made my way to the fridge and pulled out two bottles of water, one for her and me. "So, tell me what was it that you need to drop off for Jackson?"
"I'm not sure, but Rose and Jackson have started to become very secretive lately, ever since they found out about Jasper. They've been having these heated arguments, Jade, Keiko (aka Kagome), Hiro (aka Inuyasha), Dwayne, Sango, and I all started to notice this. Inuyasha is sort of mad that Rose is hiding something from him since that's his mate."
Listening closely to what she was saying, I started to become very suspicious of Jackson too, because he has been avoiding speaking to Jasper, and I know Jasper is starting to become suspicious too because he can read emotions.
"Will figure out what they're hiding later, for now, let's catch up on what you guys been doing while I've been gone."
"Keiko, Dwayne I decided to leave town since they need time to themselves. Dwayne was slightly heartbroken when he found out that you met your vampire mate. You know he's still not over you right?"
I let out a huge sigh knowing fully well that this was going to happen eventually. I don't blame him for not getting over me, I was his imprint before he was attacked and changed into a vampire because he and the rest of the guys stupidly decided that they didn't want to be sidekicks and went out on their own to go hunt vampires. The guys were outnumbered, and this caused him to be bitten and turned, which really surprised all of us including him. Usually, a shapeshifter normally is immune to vampire venom.
He's sort of an anomaly, in this case, so once he was turned his wolf side was gone and the imprinting bond broke between us. He took it the hardest when we broke up after two years of being together. I was heartbroken but it wasn't as bad as his heartbreaking, he dropped out of school, and started traveling to different tribes as to why this happened since his tribe couldn't give him the answers he desperately needed.
"Well, maybe he can try asking the Quileute tribe for help with his questions. Maybe I can ask Jacob or Sam to talk to him over the phone or something."
"Maybe."
"So why did Kagome go with Dwayne?" I curiously asked her.
"Well let's just say that she's been hiding how she felt this entire time with Inuyasha imprinting on Rose. I mean she did know what she was getting into when she started to date Inuyasha since he did tell her about their being together might not be permanent. We all warned her not to get attached but who can blame her for having hope on one day being his imprint."
Well, she was right that Kagome was forewarned about Inuyasha possibly imprinting on someone who wasn't her, but for Rose and Inuyasha to finally come forward as being a couple after being in this group for a long long long time was behind stupid to me. When he first imprinted on rose, he should have come out to Kagome, but instead, they just decided to go on with their lives. We all knew Rose sort of is obsessed with getting rid of the vampire that turned the vampires that killed her parents and newborn sister, so being someone's imprinted wasn't really on her mind. When he finally told Kagome about imprinting on Rose in the seventies and that he had known for ten years that rose was his imprint it sorts of broke her. However, Kagome wasn't mad, she was just heartbroken that he didn't imprint on her instead, we all thought she was fine since she hid it so well, but I'm guessing she really wasn't.
The breaking point was when they broke up and he started to date rose in 1975. Inuyasha told us that he imprinted on Rose in 1960 the day we saved her from being a blood slave to vampires.
"Well, they both need to find themselves again, and hopefully they can heal together. I don't think I ever brought up Dwayne to Jasper but I'm sure he heard everything. I'll have to explain it in more detail to him later."
"I do wish you luck explaining that to Mista J, he seems like the jealous type."
"Mista J?" I curiously asked her.
"Oh do you like that, I got the idea from batman you know how Harley calls the joker Mista J and puddin. Well since your nickname is puddin, I thought why not call him Mista J."
For someone that hates Batman she sure likes getting ideas from it, I mean she doesn't even watch or read the comics. So how does she even know what Harley Quinn calls the Joker? When will I stop asking questions about her way of thinking when it's clear that I will never understand her even after forties years of being her friend she still manages to surprise me.
"I know what you're thinking Tally and the question is I read google, and Inuyasha and Damien are grown children that managed to lock me in a closet with only batman comic books to read and they didn't even let me out until I actually read them. I however did get my revenge on them, I put purple dye in their body wash and shampoo, and they were purple for two weeks." She evilly said with a sinister smile that spread wide across her face and I laughed at the thought of them being purple for two weeks.

I hopefully will have the rest of the chapter out by the end of Thanksgiving week.
