Seated in front of her dressing table arranging the new perfumes her father got for her, Salihat was not in the best of mood. What Uriel said got her thinking a bit. She honestly didn't want to put Daniella in the middle of her drama with Funmilayo. It wasn't her fault that they were not in good terms.
She looked at her phone contemplating in her mind whether or not she should call Daniella. As if on cue her phone started ringing, Daniella calling. She smiled nervously answering the call. She knew she had to apologise to Daniella.
"Heyy" Salihat said into the phone.
"Sally hi... " Daniella sounded calm. Salihat was expecting her to hear her shout into the phone scolding her for acting the way she did. " .. you didn't call to say you've gotten home yesterday " Daniella added still in a calm tone.
"I.. .uh...I..." Salihat stuttered knowing she didn't have a good reason for not calling her friends to inform them she had gotten home safely.
"You what!! You have no excuse my friend. Sally why na? Why are you guys trying to put me in the middle of this stupid fight of yours?" Daniella who was laying on her stomach ontop the bed in Funmilayo and Salihat's apartment glared at her cousin who was busy applying makeup on her face. Funmilayo rolled her eyes at Daniella.
"Dani... I'm sorry you know I didn't mean to put you in that position." Salihat apologised.
"Then why did you leave yesterday instead of today?" Daniella asked still annoyed.
"You know why. I can't be in the same place with that cousin of yours." Salihat stated.
"Oh you don't know her name again." Daniella taunted her and she laughed.
" Dani stop it jare. I don't want to talk about her."
" hey see you using jare for me o." Daniella continued taunting her.
" Thanks for rubbing off on me yoruba girl." Salihat said and they both laughed.
"I miss you thou." Daniella said
"I left just yesterday." Salihat rolled her eyes smiling as if Daniella could see her.
"Whatever so I can't miss my bae. " Daniella pouted. The both of them felt glad they had cleared the air. Da
" well I miss you too. Have you heard from Uriel?" Salihat asked.
" That one! She's where she is getting dick-maticed. " Salihat burst into laughter.
"Is that even a word?"
" yes na... in the Dicktionary. " Daniella laughed. " we chatted yesterday night she claimed she was bored but i know it's a lie."
"Ok.. Uriel kenan " someone knocked on Salihat's bedroom door. She gave permission to enter. one of the household maid walked in and informed her of something. She nodded in reply.
" Babe I'll talk to you later, my Dad is calling for me." Salihat told Daniella.
"Alright now Daddy's girl. My regards to them Hajia." Daniella said
" they'll hear " Salihat said and ended the call.
By the time Daniella call to Salihat ended Funmilayo was done dressing up. Daniella eyed her cousin from head to toe wondering where she was going to that made her put too much effort in her appearance.
" Where to Madam?" Daniella asked Funmilayo who was bending to buckle her shoe strap. Funmilayo stood up and looked at Daniella before answering.
"Me ??" Funmilayo said pointing to herself like she didn't know Daniella question was directed at her.
" Not you. I was referring to your mother's second born." Daniella said and Funmilayo rolled her eyes knowing she was her mother's second born.
" I'm going to see Mustapha but it's not like you need to know." Funmilayo replied.
" why don't I need to know. So you want to go out without us knowing where you're headed?" Daniella said standing up from the bed.
" it's clear you chosen whose side you're on." Funmilayo said placing her stuffs into her small bag.
"What do you mean I've chosen the side I want to be on. There's no side here. This thing between you and Salihat is just a misunderstanding. What's wrong with you!!" Daniella exclaimed staring at Funmilayo with a sad expression.
Daniella felt bad. She didn't want to Funmilayo to feel like she wasn't having her back. She did but under the present circumstances she couldn't pick side b'cos they both mattered to her. While Funmilayo was her family and blood, Salihat was also her family. Atleast the one she made herself. Daniella and Salihat had been friends right from JSS 1 and since then they've become closer than even some sisters.
"Whatever.. é wo lo mo ( that's your cup of tea). I'm heading out." Funmilayo said and walked out. Daniella sighed and walked out of the room. As she entered the living room so did Ene who gestured to the main door.
"I just bumped into Funmi.... said she's going out but she looked sad. What happened?" She asked
"She thinks I've choosing side." Daniella rub her temples looking tired.
"Why would she think that. This thing is escalating o. We need to do something. " Ene said as she sat down on the couch.
"I called Sally and confronted her leaving the wat she did and Funmi assumes I'm picking sides. I'm even tired Sally too doesn't seem like she ready to end this drama." Daniella explained to her.
" when everyone is around we've got to settle this thing before it turns something else. " Ene said and Daniella nodded agreeing with her.
Meanwhile in the love pad the lovers layed together on the couch watching TV but they seemed more interested in sucking each others face than the movie they were watching.
Uriel was enjoying her time with Tony and didn't want the weekend to end. She wished everyday would be like that.
" Baby.." Tony said breaking their kiss
"Uhmmm" she hummed as she continued kissing him. He broke the kiss and she tried kissing back but he pulled away.
" I sa..." He started before she interrupted
"Ooh what now." She poured and he let out a little laugh.
"Wait.. I saw something in your bag." Tony said hesitantly.
"What ??" Uriel stood up and sat straight looking confused. She had no idea what he was talking about.
"What are you hiding from me?"Tony asked looking too serious for her liking. Her heart started beating faster. Why?? She couldn't say.
I'm not hiding anything, what is he talking about? She thought in her head.
"I'm....I.. I'm not hiding anything " she said. Then why are you stuttering? She mentally face palmed herself.
"Is that true?" He raised his brow at her .
" I don't know... what ....what..you're talking about.." she stuttered. Her mind was around running haywire. She was trying to think of something " whywereyouevengoingthroughmystuff." She rushed the words out of her mouth like it was hot lava.
"What are you saying?" Tony stared at her hard and she became nervous. Then he suddenly burst into laughter.
"Babe calm down...hahaaaa" Uriel looked at him now even more confused. "Its nothing serious. Well it some how is." He said.
" ooh what are you talking about?" She asked.
"I saw the sexy lingerie you hide in your bag." He said and she sighed out in relief. She thought it was something serious. Then it occurred to her that he saw the nighty she packed and she became shy looking down blushing hard.
" I wasn't hiding it. Besides why did you go through my bag?" She asked feeling that he had invaded her privacy.
" I wasn't going through your stuff. I wanted keeping your bag in the closet then I found it partly open. As I was going to zip it close the black Lacey material caught my eyes." Tony explain raising his hands in defence.
" oohh" was all Uriel said.
" Go put it on. I want to see it on you." Tony said and she glanced at him eyes wide.
" No I'm not " she shook her head.
" why bring it then if you won't wear it." He argued
" I wanted to yesternight NIGHT " she layed emphasis on the word Night. "but you were.."
" I neglected you .. " He finished the statement for her. " I said I'm sorry. Wear it for me now." He said to her and she glanced at him unsure of whether she should or not.
"Pleaseeeee" He plead and she smiled.
"Ok" she said then she hit his chest lightly. He faked the pain saying " ouch that hurt"
"That's for saying I was hiding something." She said smiling
"But you were acting like you were guilty. Are you sure there's nothing you're hiding from me. " He teased and they laughed. "Go in there and put it on." He said pushing her in the direction of the room.
Uriel went into the room and carried the bag out of the closet. She opened it and pulled out the black nighty. It was a three piece set. It had a lacy bra made with the same fabric and a thong held together by tiny ropes then there's the main nighty which was completely see through.
She closed the bag and placed it back in the closet. She entered the bathroom to freshen up a bit. She seemed reluctant but deep down she excited.
She took a very brief shower. When she stepped out she used her perfume before putting on the piece. She was contemplating whether she should use her wig to give her the complete sexy look or not when she heard him and she froze in place.
" Damn... " Tony said as he took in the sight of her looking like a vixen. The black lacy against her very light skin made the perfect contrast. The nighty stopped just after her bum.
Tony never took his eyes off her and she stood there like a deer caught in headlights. Her whole face red as a tomato. Tony took long strides towards her and pulled her into his arms.
" You're the sexiest girl I've seen " He said before smashing his mouth on hers. She didn't waste time kissing him back. The kiss was hot, filled with passion. Tony let's his hands roam all over her body and she couldn't let out a loud moan. In less than a minute they found themselves on the bed.
