Beam's pov:
I was anxious throughout all the classes.
I hope he doesn't get the wrong meaning or something.....
The moment the bell rung for the end of the last class, i gathered my things and headed out.
Pha and Kit followed not too far behind.
"Is he coming to pick you up?" Pha asked as they caught up.
"No. We decided he would come pick me up at the dorms at 6." I answered.
They nodded.
"I'll drive you then." Kit said.
I nodded.
We headed out of the building and towards the parking lot.
Kit suddenly froze while staring at the gate.
We followed his gaze.
I blinked profusely.
"Didn't you say he's coming to pick you up at 6?" Kit frowned at me.
"That's what he said...." I mumbled and headed towards Forth who was standing near the gate.
The other students were staring at him and murmuring among themselves.
"Hey." I came up to him.
"Hey. I thought i'd come pick you up after classes. Hope you don't mind." He smiled.
I smiled as well. "Not at all. Let's go?"
He suddenly leaned in and bit my neck harshly.
"OUCH!" I yelped and held my neck.
"What was that for?" I frowned.
"Well the marks weren't enough to keep bugs away so i had to add something more." He said nonchalantly.
I blinked.
He glanced behind me.
I turned around and noticed some girls who were staring at us.
They gulped and scurried away.
I turned and looked at Forth.
He smiled innocently.
"Where was this possessiveness all this time?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Hidden behind some insecurities which you already erased." He answered.
I smiled warmly.
So this is the real him....
"Let's go. I need to get ready for our dinner." I took his hand.
He nodded and pulled me to his car.
We got in and drove to my dorm.
We had a really nice dinner at one of the best steak restaurants in town.
He couldn't stay over since he had to work on the event.
That realisation ended up in me hugging him tightly and not letting him go.
"I'll call ok?" He chuckled and patted my head.
I still didn't want to let him go.
"Beam I'll come over when I'm free. I promise." He added.
I slowly let him go.
"I'll have a lot of time after the event is over so until then bear with it ok?" He smiled.
I slowly nodded.
"Now go and get some sleep. You bave classes tomorrow morning." He ruffled my hair.
I hummed and turned to go into my dorm.
He suddenly back hugged me and kissed my cheek.
"Goodnight Bee." He said softly.
I looked at him wide eyed.
He never used a nickname for me before.
"You don't like it when i call you that?" He tilted his head.
"No. I like it. I was just surprised since you never called me that." I said quickly.
He nodded.
"Well I'll be calling you that all the time from now on so get used to it ok?" He chuckled.
I nodded happily.
"Oh and I'm the only one who can you that." He said sternly.
I blinked.
"If i hear anyone else calling you with that name..." He narrowed his eyes.
"I won't let anyone else call me that. Only you. Don't worry." I chuckled.
He nodded satisfied.
"Goodnight Forthie." I pecked his cheek.
He smiled widely and slowly let go of me.
I went inside.
The smile didn't leave my face even for a second.
Forth's pov:
It's been a week since then.
I finally got the ring today.
And now I'm on my way to the university.
I promised Lam i would come at 11 so i can't really stay. But as long as i can see him even for a few minutes and give this to him I'll be satisfied. I haven't been able to see him at all for the last week. I didn't have time to go see him since Lam wouldn't let me.
I looked at the time.
8:00 am.
His classes start at 8:30. He said he'll go early to go over the notes with Pha and Kit so he should be there by now.
I parked my car and headed inside.
I went to the bench they were at last time.
A smile formed on my face when i saw them.
I froze when i a girl approached them.
They are really stubborn huh?
I clicked my tongue.
I took out the ring from the box and went upto them.
"-irls can give you twice the pleasure than a man can! You were the casanova! You slept with multiple girls! Why are you suddenly dating a guy?!" She yelled frustrated.
"That-" Beam started.
I cleared my throat.
All of them turned to me.
"Forth? What are you doing here?" Beam asked.
I could tell he was happy.
I smiled.
"I came to drop off something."
The girl crossed her arms and looked me up and down.
Kit and Pha were glaring at her but she doesn't seem to notice.
"Drop off something?" Beam tilted his head.
He was completely unaware of the others.
I chuckled and nodded.
I went closer to him and took his right hand.
"I'll make a proper proposal later. But for now, i need to let others know you're already taken." I smiled and slipped on the ring on his ring finger.
All of their jaws dropped.
"That's such a shitty proposal! And you put it on his right ring finger?" The girl scoffed.
"The left one is for when I'll be actually proposing to him. This one is just to keep the bugs away." I answered.
Beam was staring at the ring.
It was a simple white gold band with my name and two small diamonds on it.
The girl glared at me.
"You really think you're going to scare me with that?" I raised an eyebrow.
She clicked her tongue.
"You still haven't got the clue? Just how dense are you?" Kit looked at her.
She huffed and left.
"When did you....." Beam looked at me.
"I ordered it a week ago. I just got it today." I replied.
He slowly nodded. He still looked bewildered.
"If you're this bewildered with this, i wonder what will happen when he actually proposes." Pha scoffed.
Beam glared at him.
We all chuckled at his expression.
"We'll have to wait to find out then." I said.
Pha and Kit grinned and nodded.
"Please do invite us. I'm sure his reaction will be priceless." Kit looked at me.
I chuckled. "Sure."
"Why are you trying to embarrass me?" Beam sighed.
An idea suddenly popped into my head.
I grinned.
He looked at me narrow eyed.
"I'll leave now. Your classes are going to start soon right?" I said.
They nodded.
"I'll see you later Bee." I patted his head.
He smiled and hummed.
I turned on my heels walking out of the university.
Beam's pov:
I looked at Pha and Kit after he left.
They had wide grins on their faces.
"What?" I frowned.
"Beee..."Kit said teasingly.
I put a finger up.
"Nope. I promised him only he gets to call me that. So don't you dare." I said firmly.
They raised their eyebrows.
"He's one possessive guy." Pha mumbled.
I smiled while fiddling with the ring.
It wasn't a very fancy one but it was beautiful.
"I should order one as well...." I muttered under my breath.
They looked at me.
"Well he is really popular because of his designs." Kit said.
I nodded.
"Yeah. I'll go to a jeweler after classes today."
"A week ago... That's when he came across that girl flirting with you." Pha looked at me.
I nodded.
"He decided to up his game when the marks didn't work huh?" Kit chuckled.
I smiled.
"This is the real him.... It was hidden behind all those years of fears and insecurities." I said softly.
They looked at me.
"He's finally starting to be more confident and outgoing." Kit smiled.
I nodded happily.
"I think it's because he's able to talk now." Pha suggested.
We looked at him.
"Now that he's able to talk, he can refute other people when they try to tell him he's worthless because he's a mute or something like that." He explained.
"That's true..." Kit mumbled
I nodded in agreement.
