JENNIE
After a long day at the office, I returned home to find Lisa left early to go to the bar. I got a lot of messages from her a while ago, but I didn't respond to any of them because I'm really ashamed. I was such a jerk to her last night, and I'm even more upset with myself now that I've realized my mistakes after speaking with Jisoo unnie.
After lunch with unnie, I realized a lot of things. I didn't do anything related to work after that because I reflected on myself more than to read the documents on my table.
I'm so stubborn for acting that way. I'm still upset with my mother, but I shouldn't have acted like that to Lisa. She did it solely to help my relationship with my parents. She did so much, not only for me, but for my entire family. After much deliberation, I consider speaking with my mother and hearing her side of the story after I reconcile with Lisa. I resolved to apologize to Lisa when she returned home. I also made her favorite food to surprise her. I'm sure she'll enjoy it. I just hope she isn't drunk when she returns so we can talk properly.
After I finished cooking, I went straight to our room and took a bath. While getting dressed, I remembered the necklace Lisa gave to me. She accidentally broke it last night, so I looked for it on the nightstand, but it wasn't there. Perhaps Lisa took it with her.
My decision not to attend the opening of their new business was a bad one. I'm so bored at home right now. I tried to watch our favorite TV show, but I couldn't concentrate because my mind was on Lisa in that nightclub, yes, a freaking nightclub. The crackheads built their own nightclub. Jisoo unnie messaged me about it a while ago. I'm about to get upset again, but unnie told me that Lisa chastised the crackheads for lying to her because she, too, is surprised. I texted Unnie to ask about Lisa's whereabouts, and she informed me that my honey is being behave tonight. Oh, how I miss her. After that, I sighed with relief and decided to take a nap.
An hour later.
I woken up by the constant ringing of my phone. I looked to see who was calling at this hour and found Jisoo unnie's name. I answered, but I couldn't hear Jisoo unnie's voice over Rose's whining.
"Hello, Unnie?"
"Baby, why is the food still not here?!" Rosé is still whining on the background.
"Unnie? Hello unnie." I asked again then finally Jisoo unnie speaks on the phone.
"I'm so sorry, Jendeukie. I called you because of Lisa, but this Chipmunk keeps whining about her food." Jisoo unnie explained.
"Is Rosé drunk?" I asked.
"Yeah, and she needs her food to be sober." Jisoo unnie sighed.
"And Lisa, is she drunk as well. Do you need me to pick her up?" I worriedly asked.
"N-no, Jendeukie. Lisa is not drunk. I called you to tell you to get ready. She's on her way back home. Talk to her and reconcile." She cheerfully said. I'm now nervous because Lisa is returning home.
"Y-yes, unnie. I will prepare myself. Thank you so much." I replied.
"Okay, Jendeukie. Call me again if the two of you ever talked. I have to go because I need to accommodate my Chipmunk to the comfort room." She said.
"Thank you once more, Unnie." I said before ending the call.
I checked the time and it's almost ten o'clock. I immediately fixed myself and went to our room to wait for Lisa.
My wife has still not entered our room after nearly 30 minutes of waiting for her. I went into the living room to see if she was there, but she wasn't. I asked one of our bodyguards if her car had returned, but the guard confirmed that Lisa is still not returning home. I'm getting nervous, but I ignore it, thinking she's just stuck in traffic.
Half an hour later.
I'm sitting on our couch in the living room, still waiting for Lisa, when my phone begins to ring. I saw Jisoo unnie calling again and immediately answered.
"Unnie." I said.
"Hey Jendeukie. Is Lisa with you right now?" She asked.
"She is still not here, unnie. Why are you asking?" I worriedly said to her. She's silent for a while that makes me worried more. "Unnie, tell me what's wrong?" I asked once more.
"I kept calling Lisa's phone, but it just goes to her voice mail. There are incidents here in the nightclub. Someone saw Suzy unconscious, and it looks like she was poisoned. She was rushed to the hospital." Jisoo unnie explained. "B-but what has really worried me now is Lisa. Jendeukie, please don't panic after I tell you this and call Mr. Han right away. I don't have his phone number, but we are now on our way to your house." She worriedly said.
"What's wrong, unnie? What happened to Lisa?! Tell me, unnie!" I almost yelled at her.
"Please calm down, Jendeukie. Someone saw a man unconscious in one of the cubicles in the man's comfort room in the nightclub. When they checked the man's identity, it was Chen. He's one of your bodyguards." She said, almost stopping my heartbeat.
"Unnie, what happened to Lisa? I thought you told me she was on her way back home."
"I'm so sorry, Jendeukie. I don't know what to say, but please contact Mr. Han first and don't leave the house. Wait for us, please." Unnie said sadly before hanging up the phone.
I'm worried for Lisa right now. I tried calling her number first, but as unnie pointed out, it only goes to her voicemail. I tried calling her several times, but it was always the same. I called Mr. Han's number, but it went straight to his voicemail as well. Gosh, what's really happening. I spoke to one of our bodyguards here in the house and asked him who went to the club with Lisa. He told me that Chen and Sehun are with her. I tried calling Sehun as well, but his phone number is the same as Lisa's and Mr. Han's.
A few minutes later.
Jisoo unnie and the others arrived.
"Jendeukie, have you called Mr. Han?" Jisoo unnie asked as soon as they entered our house.
"It also directs to his voicemail, unnie. What if something bad happens to Lisa?" I said, unable to suppress my emotions any longer. I suddenly cry and hug Jisoo unnie.
"Jendeukie." Jisoo unnie said worriedly, rubbing my back. "Let us take a seat first." She said.
We're sitting on the couch, and I can tell they're worried by their expressions. Seulgi and Irene are also here.
"W-where are the others?" I asked.
"Kookie and V are in the police station due to the events at the nightclub. While Wendy and Joy are with Nancy in the hospital, waiting for Suzy's status." Seulgi explained.
"Lalisa, where the heck are you? Please answer your phone now." Rosé asked worriedly. She's probably sober now and attempting to contact Lisa again.
"It's been more than an hour since she left the nightclub. How about her other bodyguard? Can you contact him?" Jisoo unnie asked, but I shook my head.
"It's the same as Lisa." I said. Jisoo unnie was about to speak when my phone rang and I saw Mr. Han's name on the caller.
"Put it on speaker, Jennie." Irene instructed. I answer the call and put it on the speaker.
"I'm glad I could contact you, Mrs. Manoban." Mr. Han said. "Are you perhaps with Sajangnim?" He asked that furrow my brows.
"No, she's not with me, and we're also looking for her. Can you find her, Mr. Han?" I asked eagerly.
"I need to tell you something, Mrs. Manoban. I just returned from gathering information about Kim Jongin, and there is no signal from the place that I came from. When I returned to the city and checked my phone, I received a message from an unknown sender telling me that Sajangnim needs help." He said, making my heartbeats race.
"I immediately contacted Sajangnim, but it directed to her voicemail, so I checked her GPS coordinates instead. Her coordinates stop in the same area as her car, but your GPS coordinates are in another area outside the city, which makes me feel suspicious. Where are you Mrs. Manoban?" He asked, that furrowed my brows.
"I-I'm at home. W-what GPS are you talking about?" I was still speaking when Rosé abruptly cut us off.
"The necklace! Lisa has the butterfly necklace! Go there as quickly as you can!" Rosé exclaimed, perplexing us all.
"Yes, we are on our way now. I have gathered our men to accompany me. Some of our men are going to the location where Sajangnim's car is. Please don't leave the house Mrs. Manoban, your safety is our top priority as well. I will call you immediately once I have news about Sajangnim." He said.
"Please find her, Mr. Han." I begged.
"I will Mrs. Manoban." He said before he ended the call.
"Unnie, Lisa is in danger. I don't know what to do if something happens to her." I said, crying again to Jisoo unnie.
"Jendeukie, I'm so sorry. You trusted me to look after her. I shouldn't have let her go home alone. I'm so sorry." Jisoo unnie said, crying now as well.
"U-unnie no, it's not your fault." I said, wiping my tears.
"I really hope she's okay. I can't forgive myself if something bad happens to her." Jisoo unnie said.
"Baby, I'm being hard on her as well. I should have let her kiss you before she left." Rosé said with tears on her eyes. I hug them both because I'm at a loss for words. I'd like to help in the search for Lisa, but I'm incapable of doing so. Irene approached us and hugged us as well.
"Let's think positive, everyone. Lisa will return home to us tonight. She's an optimistic and strong person. I believe she'll return home and give us her genuine smile again." Irene said.
'I'm so sorry, Lisa. I shouldn't have been so rude to you last night. I miss you so much. I love you so much. I don't know what I'll do if I lose you. Please be safe, honey.'
"Let us all be strong for her as well. My buddy will not be happy if she sees us like this, especially you Ruby Jane." Seulgi said and abruptly turning away from us. I know she's trying hard not to cry.
We've noticed an increase in the number of securities in our home. Some are on the inside, while others are on the outside. Perhaps Mr. Han directed them to keep an eye on us.
"Baby, what do you mean by the butterfly necklace?" Jisoo asked the blonde suddenly. Rosé looks at me, then closes her eyes, opens them, and speaks.
"I promised Lisa not to tell Jennie about this, but I don't have a choice right now. Sorry monkey." She said and sighed. "A few days ago Lisa gave Jennie a necklace with a butterfly pendant." Rosé said, and I nodded my head.
"Lisa attached a GPS tracker to the pendant to monitor Jennie, but please don't get mad at her because she said she will only use it for emergency purposes." She said worriedly.
"I- i will not be mad on her." I said and looks down.
"Earlier in the nightclub, Lisa told me that she broke the necklace last night and bought a new one. She said she will give it back to you later, but she wears it tonight so she can at least feel that you are with her in the event." Rosé sadly told me. I can't put into words how I'm feeling right now. Lisa is so concerned about my safety that she neglects to consider her own.
"I guess the necklace serves its purpose now. I hope they find Lisa quickly." Rosé said as she rubbed my back to comfort me.
A few minutes later, Seulgi received a phone call. She told us after the call that Jungkook had asked one of their employees to obtain the CCTV footage related to the unfortunate events at the nightclub for the police investigation. He sent it right away to Seulgi as well when he received it. Then, we immediately watched the videos.
The first video shows Chen and Sehun conversing as they enter the men's restroom. Sehun exits the comfort room alone after a few minutes. He straightened his suit jacket and greeted some of the men entering the comfort room.
The following video shows Lisa in the club's bar area. My heart ached seeing her alone there. I wish I could go back in time and go to the opening instead of waiting at home for her. Her hair is shorter now, and she looks great in her leather jacket. Gosh, I'm missing her so much. A few minutes later, Suzy slowly approached her with a drink in her hand. My blood boils when she moved closer to Lisa and appeared to kiss or whisper to her. My wife flinched after that. 'I will definitely pluck all of Suzy's hair once I see her.' We can see the two of them talking in the video, but Lisa appears anxious. She was about to leave when Suzy grabbed her hand. Lisa suddenly came to a halt, and we can see the two of them conversing again, but my wife suddenly left Suzy. We can see how anxious Suzy was after Lisa left her. She abruptly drank the liquor in front of her and left the area.
"Lisa didn't tell us this happened." Jisoo unnie said.
"Perhaps she thought it was nothing. We can see she rejected the girl." Seulgi said, crossing her arms across her chest.
Then there's a video of Suzy walking away from the bar section while talking on her phone. After a few minutes, she vomited and passed out.
"Why did someone poison her?" Irene said curiously.
"Perhaps because of her sour attitude." Jisoo unnie said, rolling her eyes.
"Baby, behave. The person is still on the verge of death." Rosé chastised unnie, and Jisoo unnie apologized.
The final video shows Lisa and Sehun leaving the parking lot. I hold back my tears as I watch her walk and speak to her security.
"I'm not feeling good about that guy. What if he kidnapped Lisa?" Seulgi said bitterly.
Before they captured Kai, Sehun was assigned to guard me. He is courteous and always pays attention to me. Can he really do that? Is he truly evil?
"We're nice to him. Why did Sehun do that? Does he need money?" I asked.
"I think everything is planned. It all happened in the same night. It's just my theory, but everything seems to be connected." Rosé said with her brow furrowed.
"What are you saying, Rosé?" I asked her.
"The victims are both related to Lisa. I don't want to think about the worst-case scenario, but maybe the poison is for Lisa as well, but Suzy accidentally drinks it." Rosé explains, making me worried more about my wife. "Perhaps they were attempting to get rid of Lisa and failed, so they abducted her." Rosé said, holding both of her temples, while Jisoo unnie sat beside her and rubbed her back.
"Who the hell did this?" I said worriedly. I don't know if I can take everything I've heard. What if Rosé is right?
"After Kai's arrest, Lisa let her guard down." Rosé said, looking at us.
"Perhaps that psycho had another plan and carried it out tonight?" Jisoo unnie said that widened my eyes. What if she's correct?
"Who is Kai?" Both Seulgi and Irene asked. We told them everything that had happened, and they couldn't believe it.
It's nearly 1:30 in the morning. We're still awake and waiting for Mr. Han. Seulgi is about to ask her father for help when my phone begins to ring and I see Mr. Han's name on the caller. I immediately answered and put the call on the speaker.
"M-mrs. Manoban." He said, as sirens could be heard in the background.
"Mr. Han, what happened?" I asked with my voice trembling. "Where is Lisa?" I asked anxiously.
"M-mrs. Manoban. Please, I need you to calm down first. The securities in your house will accompany you to the hospital where we are headed now." He said that widened my eyes.
"Why are you going to the hospital? What happened to Lisa?! " I asked anxiously.
"Hey, Mr. Han, tell us right away! You're making us nervous!" Jisoo unnie yelled.
"Sajangnim is in critical condition right now, Mrs. Manoban. I'm so sorry. We're almost late when we get there, but Sehun saved her life from that YG's son." Mr. Han said, his voice breaking with pain. What I heard made my knees weaken.
"Jennie." Rosé says, immediately embracing me. I'm on the verge of crying when Mr. Han speaks again.
"YG was involved in Sajangnim's abduction. The authorities have already apprehended him with his men, while his son is in critical condition." He explained. I'm about to ask him how Kai got out of his cell when Mr. Han speaks up again.
"Mrs. Manoban, Kai is not the psycho. It was your other model, Kim Hanbin." He said, shocking everyone. "I'll tell you everything later, but for now, please be with Sajangnim. She needs you." He implored.
"I will, Mr. Han, and thank you very much for finding and saving her." I said as I hung up the phone. We rush outside to find our bodyguards already waiting for us.
'Please, honey, be strong. Please wait for me. I'm going there, and I will never, ever leave your side. Nobody can ever take you away from me. I promise you that. I love you more than anything else, Lisa. Please wait for me, honey.'
