"Hi!" Ohh great, I really do know how to embarrass myself. "Please come in, my parents must be coming down in a minute!" Just when I said that my dad cam down.
When I looked at Charlie he had his head down and he look pissed off at something, and Hunter also had anger in his eyes, maybe they got into a fight or something.
Both of them look at my direction, and I have obviously been caught staring at them, why does the universe hate me so much.
Because you're silly and stupid and can't get your feelings together.
I do not have feelings for either of them.
Oh my dear, I am your subconscious, I know everything.
Can't you just leave or something, I can't handle you.
But I want to stay and annoy you.
"STACEY!" My dad says, I look at him with confusion and then see everyone staring at me, Charlie is smiling and Hunter is smirking, why universe." I called your name 3 times!" My dad says, oh God I want to die now. "Are you okay?" My dad asks worried.
"Ohhh yeah I'm fine,just thinking about stuff!" I say, but the tone of my voice came out way too weird.
You sure do know how to embarrass yourself in front of the 2 boys that you like.
I decide to just ignore my subconscious and hopefully everything will be fine. My dad was still staring at me worried but then my mom came down and all the attention went to her, thank God.
While the adults were busy chatting about whatever is it that adults chatt about, I was standing there and smiling, probably looking like an idiot, and just looking at everything around the house.
Hmmm,that vase looks very interesting, I didn't know we had that,it's so white.
"Let us let the kids talk while we adults make our way to the kitchen!" My mum says smiling.
"We're not kids!" The 3 of us say it at the same time and then we stare at each other.
The adults just laugh and leave us alone, and the awkward silence has come back.
"Hi!" I say awkwardly trying to break the silence, both of them just stare at me. "So how are you Charlie?" I say and the I realise that if I don't shut up I will most probably die of embarrassment.
"I am doing better." Charlie answers. "So Stacey I was thinking that if maybe you would like to go out with me one of these days, if you want, there's this place that I really want to go visit, but my mom said I have to go with someone, it was either going to be Hunter or you?" Charlie asks nervously.
He looks pretty sexy when he's nervously,I really should find a way to lock my hormones in a chest and throw it at the bottom of an ocean.
"Yah, I'll come with you!" I say cheerfully, but I also notice how Hunter's face was overcome with guilty and sadness, but he quickly covered it up.
We talked about school and exams for a while until my mom called us.
The dinner was amazing and the adults were having a blast, my mom and Mrs. Collins were laughing about something to do with school, and my dad and Mr. Collins were talking about sports.
"So when are you guys moving?" Mrs. Collins asked.
Both Charlie's and Hunter's face dropped and they both stared at me.
Maybe they both forgot that I was moving.
"At the end of the year!" My dad answered.
The whole dinner, I kept my face down, my parents were talking about the new house and school, and I couldn't look at Charlie and Hunter.
When everyone finished their dinner, I volunteered to take out the plates and bring in the dessert, and ofcourse Mrs. Collins suggested one of the boys to help me,and Charlie ended up helping me.
The only thing I am praying for is that I don't trip and drop the plates, knowing me,I am a 100% sure I will make a mess and embarrass myself.
When I get the first set of plates in the kitchen without falling, I start jumping with joy, literally jumping, and then I hear someone clear their throat behind me, Ohh damm, I forgot Charlie was also here.
When I turn around, Charlie has the most amusing smile, and he looks like he's trying to hold his laughter,I instantly turn a brighter shade of red.
"I was having a victory moment!" I stammer.
Charlie walks closer and then he puts the dishes in the dishwasher, and only when he stands up straight do I notice how close we were.
And when I try going back, I realise that I am against the counter and there is nowhere to go, Charlie eyes look at my lips for a second before they come back to my eyes, I feel hot,I can't breathe, and everything is just lost.
The only thing I can focus on is Charlie's green eyes, he starts to lean forward, his hand goes to my cheek, his touch sends a chill up my spine, and my skin is literally on fire, his deep forest green eyes are mesmerising, he is a breath away from me.
"I'm sorry to interrupt, but we are still waiting for the dessert, and I can not handle their questions any longer!" Hunter says and he walks away, and when I realise what was happening, I turn red,I am pretty sure you could fry bacon on me.
Charlie backs away and he helps me get the desserts. Was Charlie about to kiss me, just thinking of it makes my face red.
When we get to the dining room everyone is staring at us, and Mrs. Collins is smiling, maybe she knows able what happened, what if she has legacies, maybe she can read people's minds.
Maybe I shouldn't pay lots of attention to my books.
Exactly why are you putting the blame on the books?
Isn't it obvious why you guys were taking so long in the kitchen, and not to mention the fact that your face is red,and I mean red red.
"What took you guys so long with the dessert?" Mrs. Collins asks when we sit down.
Oh fluff, how on earth do I answer that question.
"Stacey dropped a plate and I was just helping her clean up!" Charlie answers casually, Hunter looks at both of us, and my mom and Mrs. Collins just smile, and my dad is sending daggers towards Charlie, but last I checked, he actually liked Charlie.
The rest of the time while we were eating dessert, I was able to avoid Charlie's gaze, and Hunter was sending daggers towards his dessert, I am pretty sure that if looks could kill, his dessert would be a puddle of nothing on the floor.
After dessert, my parents convinced the Collins to stay for a while longer, I was half asleep already, so I excused myself and went to my room, I collapsed on the bed and told myself that I am going to ignore Charlie from now on.
But you like him don't you.
I don't, I think.
Ohh come on, you saw how he was staring at us, it felt electrifying.
A knock on my door snapped me from my thoughts.
"Come in!" I say and then go to my cupboard to take out some pyjamas.
"Can we talk about what happened downstairs?" Charlie says nervously. I have no words so I just nod.
"Shit, I don't even know what to say!" Charlie says while pacing around in my room. "Maybe we could forget what happened and we go back to being friends!" Charlie asks.
For some odd reason, I feel this really weird pain in my chest, I feel like I am going to cry, and I am pretty sure that if I say anything I will burst out completely, so I just nod, and Charlie was about to say something else but Hunter walked in and told him that they were going home.
With one last look he left, I just groaned and went back to finding my pyjamas and then going to bed.

Charlie's POV
What is wrong with me, why couldn't I just say the proper words, and instead I asked her to forget what had happened in the kitchen, I want to kill my stupid self.
Hunter came in my room to give me a cup of water and some pills.
I must have looked very shocked because he just rolled his eyes.
"Your mom told me to bring it, she is tired and since my room is right next to yours, it is much easier for me to bring it!" I know Hunter is angry at me because of me almost kissing Stacey.
After he leaves I keep thinking about Stacey, what if I get to close to her and then I die, but she is either way leaving at the end of the year, the moment I start thinking about this, I can't breathe, after what happened last time, I make sure to keep my inhaler in my pocket, so it is easier to find it.
When I settle in, and I am about to fall asleep, my phone beeps, when I look at it, it's a message from Stacey.
When are we going out for that thing of yours :S
Ohhh shit, I am most definitely screwed.
Tomorrow after school, we can grab some icecream and then go. :C
And I don't get another message after that, after a while of turning around, and playing a few games on the phone, I finally fall asleep.
But ofcourse the universe is against me,because I woke up and my lungs felt like they were on fire, the doctor did tell me that I would feel this, and he gave me some other pill that should ease the burn.
After I am calm, I check the time and it is only 3, great there is no way I'll fall asleep now.
So I drag myself out of bed and go for a shower.
Today will most definitely be interesting.
