Sofie and I spoke the whole ride, it turns out that she hasn't been adopted before and that she has never seen outside before in her life, I ended up taking her around the city giving her a tour, and buying her food. Just seeing her smile and her eyes lit up at the little things makes my heart flutter. We finally arrived home as its now night time. We entered the house and the sight of my brother dancing to an Beyonce song was what we were greeted with, when the song was over Sofie clapped trying to hold in her laughter, my brother Nate snapped his head to our direction, his eyes landed on Sofie making his face soften, "Sofie this is my brother Nate, brother this is Sofie my daughter I adopted her today" I introduced them to each other, Nate walked over to Sofie smiling, they hugged swaying back and forth, making me smile. Both Nate and I gave Sofie a tour of the house, she was fascinated with every room, from the kitchen to the inside pool and all the other rooms, I finally took her to the top the top floor and showed her room. She was amazed, she even cried
"I don't deserve these things" she spoke with tears streaming down her face, "No sweetie I don't know what happened at the center but just know that you are loved here, and that you are protected, you deserve every thing this world has to offer" I spoke softly, I stoop down and dried her tears, I kissed her forehead making her smile, "Now come on let me show you around your room" I said taking her hand and walking her around her room, showing her the bathroom, walk in closet and a empty room where she can do what ever she wants.
Sofie and I went downstairs and Nate gave Sofie the iPhone I was planning on giving her, she looked at it with aw and amazement, she hugs me and Nate and told us thank you. I set up her phone and gave it to her. We talked and talked, Kelianne finally reached home and I told Sofie to hide. I ran to the entrance
"Hey honey welcome home " I spoke taking her coat and hanging it in the small closet at the entrance, "Hey honey, thank you" she thanked me and I hugged her and kissed her head, I put her things down and I dragged her to the living room, she giggled "Baby what's what got you so happy" she said, I held her hands and looked down at her, "So I know you wanted kids but you can't and your also very busy with gymnastics and social media and I really want kids as well" I spoke with a smile, "Love I know but there is nothing we can do" she said looking confused at me, I smiled letting go of her hands "Yea too bad you can't meet Sofie" I spoke seeing that Sofie is walking towards Kelianne, "Who is-" before my wife could say anything, Sofie hugged her from behind, Kelianne turns around and sees Sofie, "Hi" Sofie spoke re hugging Kelianne, "Hi" Kelianne spoke, "Kel this is our daughter Sofie, Sofie this is Kelianne my wife", they swayed left and right, making my eyes water, they parted from each other, Kelianne dried Sofie's tears with a smile, "I adopted her earlier today" I spoke looking at Sofie, "Omg Tayler this is the best thing ever how old are you Sofie?" she asked still holding our child's face, "I am 13" Sofie spoke smiling.
We all sat in the living room, Nate and Kelianne told Sofie about themselves, and Sofie telling them about her. "Sofie are you gonna tell her" I spoke making Kelianne look at me funny, "Tell me what?" my wife asked confused, "I taught my self to be flexible" my curly head child spoke, "OMG YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY" Kelianne squealed, making everyone laugh at her childishness. This feels like this is a complete family the way how we bonded in the small period of time. Sofie filled in that empty hole inside all of us
"SHOW ME SHOW ME SHOW ME" Kelianne spoke way too excited, Sofie tide a knot on the baggy t shirt she was wearing. she tied curly hair in a bun, she warmed up her body and began to bend in different poses.
We were amazed, the way she bended like it was nothing, when we were all left stunned she looked anxious as if she is afraid of us, "THAT WAS THE COOLESS THING I HAVE EVER SEEN!" Nate shouted, I smiled making Sofie relax, she walked over to us in an back bend, "You are more than flexible goddamn" I chuckled as Sofie just grinned at me, "Baby you are a contortionist" Kelianne spoke, Sofie stood up straight, she sat on my lap as Kelianne spoke what a contortionist is making Sofie smile.
Afterwards we watched an appropriate show on Netflix, Sofie stayed on my lap and leaned on my chest, while Kelianne laid her head on my shoulder while Nate placed his legs on Kelianne. This is nice, this is what my life was missing. Sofie filled the void in my life, and she connected with everyone in the in matter of a short space of time.
