"Daaaad!" My older brother Sven ran into the house, leaving me behind.
"No! Dont tell Dad!" I shouted in panic, trying to catch my brother, though the only thing I catched was the door.
With my face.
"Ugh." I grumbled, as I opened the front door I saw lots of diffrent shoes standing infront of me. "Oh gosh, they are all here."
"A boyfriend?!" I could hear lots of deep voices roar in union.
"Valeria!" My father's voice called me, while biting my lip I stepped slowly into the living room.
Everyone was here, literally everyone.
My grandfather sat in his usual chair, while my Uncle Victor sat besides him on the couch, next to him was my Uncle Jon with his husband.
Uncle Xander was already standing, looking like he was getting ready for a fist fight.
His twin brother Uncle Elijah leaned against a wall, Uncle Caleb just sat on the couch watching everyone quietly and my father stood directly infront of me.
"Hi, Daddy." I squeaked out, putting on my cutest smile.
Sven was standing behind him, snickering at me. Idiot.
"Sven told me you have a boyfriend now?" He asked me, he lifted his eyebrows and gave me his usual stern look.
I felt a lot of pressure answering that question, because I think neither my mom nor my aunts were here to support me and it seemed like my uncles were ready to murder someone.
"Let me explain." I started playing with my fingers avoiding his gaze.
"Valeria, yes or no?" Uncle Xander sighed nervously.
"So this boy asked me out..." I started waiting for reactions.
"And you declined politely, because there is no way our little Lera would start dating at seventeen right?" Uncle Victor seemed to be deep in his thoughts.
"I-."
"Right?" Uncle Jonathan gave me a demanding smile.
"I didn't agree to be his girlfriend, but-." I got interrupted.
"There's a but?" Dad's eyes widened in disbelief.
"I agreed to go on one date with him."
"No, you're not going." Everyone in the room spoke out the same words at the same time.
Creeps.
"I am going." I popped my lips, remembering what Mom and Aunt Megan thought me. "What reason would speak against me going on a date?"
"You're too young." Uncle Xander said promptly.
"I am only going on a date." I raised one eyebrow.
"The boy could try something funny!" Grandpa spoke loudly.
"No one that knows me would dare to do something funny." I shook my head.
"Oh and what makes you so sure?" Sven wanted to know.
"First, everyone knows my wonderful cousins that go to the same school as me and are as crazy as their fathers." I coughed giving my Uncles a glance. "Second, everyone knows my father and brother are Russian, who wants to mess with a Russian?" I smiled proudly. "And my last point is, I am a strong and independent woman, if the boy dares to try something I dont want, I kick them between their fucking legs."
"Language!" Uncle Jon gasped and I rolled my eyes.
"Uncle Xander said it all the time when I was young." I coughed and tried mimicking his voice. "Kick every boy that comes near you between his fucking legs, those motherfuckers will see stars for days."
"Ouch." Uncle Xander sighed after Uncle Victor stood up and hit the back of his head.
"Idiot." He hissed.
"Oh, looks like almost everyone is here." I heard the front door open and a lot if footsteps coming.
"Oh, gosh no." I sighed deeply placing my head into my hands.
"Ah, the boys are here." Uncle Caleb called out.
My wonderful eight cousins walked into the living room, all of them went to the same school as me.
That was my sign to disappear right here and right now. I turned on my heels and sprinted out of the house.
I will proceed this conversation, when Mom and my aunts are back.
Yet when I stopped and turned around I saw five grown ass men run behind me.
My uncles were racing against each other to catch me, though I couldnt even believe what was happening as my adrenaline kicked in and I started sprinting.
"Narutoooo!" I heard uncle Elijah scream behind me.
"This feels like the good old days, remember how many times we chased Lil?" Uncle Xander was laughing, while his voice was coming closer.
"Why are you chasing me?" I breathed out, as I took a sharp left turn, as I felt someone's fingers grasp my shirt.
"I don't know actually." Uncle Jon's bubbly voice answered me.
"Oh, I know. There is no way we will let you date at your age." Uncle Victor assured me and I cussed.
"You are a bad influence, Xander." Uncle Caleb sighed.
As I finally arrived at my destination, I grabbed the branch of a tree and lifted myself up.
I climbed the tree far enough so I would have a safe distance from them.
"Time out!" I screamed, before any of them would get the idea to climb the tree as well. "This is unfair!"
"What is unfair? That your middle aged uncles are almost as fast as you? Yes. We are great." Uncle Elijah grinned at me.
"What, no." I shook my head. "Uncle Victor, especially you should be on my side."
"Why Vicky? Isnt he the grumpiest of us?" Jon furrowed his eyebrows and everyone looked confused.
My father and my brother also appeared here, and I could see that Dad was ready to scold me, but I wouldn't let him.
"And you too, Dad!" I called out.
"You experienced yourself how unfair your wives were treated by their family members." I felt tears in my eyes, thinking about how lucky I was to have my mother and my aunts on my side. "Aunt Delilah wasnt allowed to leave the house to see boys her brothers didn't approve of even though she was over twenty years old. Mom was too afraid to talk about her relationship with Dad, so she kept it a secret for a year!"
"Well yes, but you are dif-." Sven wanted to argue with me.
"You are the last person who is allowed to say anything in this matter! Neither should my cousins be allowed to!" I gave my uncles a glare, they always let their sons rule over my school life. "Sven and my cousins dont have these rules, they were all in atleast two relationships already and they aren't even virgins anymore!"
"That's why we tell you to be careful, we know how boys in your age think." My father sighed.
"So why don't you teach my brother to behave better than that?"
Before anyone could start talking about the fact that I was a girl, I continued my rage.
"I am a girl, all of you thought me I should be strong, powerful and loud! You thought me I am my own person and no man should take that right away from me, yet you dont believe in me. You don't even treat me as a strong girl, it feels like you want me to believe I am not capable of standing my ground and if a guy trys to take advantage of me I cant do anything about it."
With tears in my eyes I breathed heavily, this speech was more difficult than I imagned.
"Ill ask you one last time, all of you! If you really think I am just a helpless little girl, if you really think my worth and opinions are less important than a males then step forward." I made a pause looking at their worried faces.
My dad scratched the back of his head and sighed, while Uncle Victor gave me a warm smile. "You are really your mother's daughter, huh."
