In this judgemental world, each year girls and boys who are at the age of 18 - 20 one without a spouse will be brought to the castle and the Kings will match them to another, but something else happens when a girl named Y/n was chosen to be matched with one of the Kings?
Y/n PoV
A knock was heard from my door as me and my brother opened it to see a man in a grey suit and was reading a paper
" Lee Y/n?" he raises an eyebrow and looks at me
" Is this about the spouse thing?" the man in grey nods and my brother looks at me
" Will you be fine?" I nod my head
" At least I won't be single forever right?" he nods
I follow the man in grey as I walk with him inside the van
as I entered there were other six girls inside
I sat beside a girl in a pink hoodie who had pigtails that were hanging low
" Hi" I greet her, she looks at me and smiles " Isn't it weird?" I raise an eyebrow
" What is?"
" Well I was just having a cup of coffee where the same man who came to you told me my name and it was about the spouse thing, it's like the castle knows where everyone one is at a specific time"
she looks at me and slaps her forehead " How rude of me, Hi I'm Lea"
she places out her hand and I shake it " Y/n" she smiles " Are you excited? "
I raise my shoulders " I don't know how it works...How they will pick a person who you will spend with, like for the rest of your life?"
" Well my sister actually was in the palace when she was twenty, she told me a light was shined on two people and it was never wrong, I guess the heavens felt bad for us for not knowing finding our soulmate early enough"
I nod my head as she explains " Do the Kings have a spouse?"
she looks at me and giggles " Not all but whoever their soulmate is will be lucky,"
the van drives away and big white gates open and the van heads inside
we all look through the window as we saw plants and maids and butlers trimming the sculpted plants
the van stops and the doors open
the man in grey appears once again and we follow him inside the castle
we enter the castle and in the thirteen thrones there sat thirteen men in either white or blue
as I look around there were tons of people standing before them
probably they were also single like me
then a man in black hair and dark blue stood up
" Welcome all of you, once we ask one of you to come forward please do"
he nods to the man in grey and he opens the scroll, I observe carefully
" Mr. Seo Dong Hyun" a man stood in front of the crowd
a light blue light shined on him, we looked around and a light pink light was shined in the crowed
a girl in a white shirt and blue jeans walk forward as the light followed her
the two went beside each other and the two lights connected and it became the color white
" Ms. Lim Ge Reum and Mr. Seo Dong Hyun you may leave now "
the two walked together side by side leaving following the guards
I look at Lea as we both were shocked at how the process was done
" Ms.Bae Lea" I look at her and she pointed at herself before walking forward
the pink light was now shined at her and she looked around for the blue light
I was shocked as the guy beside me had the light shined on him
" Ms.Bae Lea and Mr. Song Jihoon you may now leave"
after a while, I started to get bored and was murmuring to myself as some of the couples actually look good together
then that's when my name was called " Ms.Lee Y/n"
I walk up front and sigh, I look around as I didn't see any light but then everyone gasped
I look to where everyone is looking at and my eyes opened wide
" Ms.Lee Y/n and...King Wen Junhui?"
the King stands up and walks down the stairs and walks in front of me
I step back a little before he held me in the wrist
" Well I'll be taking my leave now" he slowly started to walk and I follow him
not only was I shocked but nervous about where he is taking me
he entered which seemed to be his bedroom, he sat on the couch and I stood in front of me
" You know, this doesn't happen so often" he looks at me
" How old are you?" I gulp and look at him " Uh 20?" he nods his head
" well since you're my soulmate...It might sound crazy but you won't die from old age"
I raise an eyebrow at him " What?"
" Sweety, I am for your information 118 years old" I choke on my spit
" It's also like that with the other Queens of my other brothers who have found their soulmate"
I close my eyes and open them again and look at him straight in the eye
" So you're telling me...That I- I get to live how many years I want as long as I don't die because I'm a...' Queen' and you're supposed to be my soulmate aka the King?"
he nods his head " Thankfully you are quick-witted"
he stands up and hugs me, " W-what are you doing?"
" So this is what it feels like to hug you so-called...girlfriend..."
I nod my head and slowly return the hug in an awkward manner
" Well since your my soulmate I'll just fall in love with you normally"
I look at him and he smiles as he listens to me
" Well I guess I won't have any trouble falling in love with you "
