Then again, Aot, TPN and KnY is filled with those topics so Author-san would be kind of surprised Reader-san would be uncomfortable, but for those who would skip gory parts and is sensitive on the topic, then yes, please skip this.
A dream of Emma's we're in. But this dream wasn't really like the 'normal' dreams she had.
"Where am I?" She muttered, looking around in the dark forest she appeared in.
It was foggy, and her only light source was a lantern she had when she appeared here.
She looked down and saw that she was wearing clothing that resembled her 'Mother's'.
Eh!? Mom's clothing!?
She screamed in her head, the dark purple dress was there, the white apron, the brown boots, everything, it was all too familiar.
The ginger felt her hair was still loose like it always was, but with a braid that covered her missing left ear.
She began to walk around, the fallen leaves crunching under her shoes.
The trees didn't have any leaves, it all fell to the ground, and it was all the color dark grey.
(Remember the korok forest in botw? Lol)
"Hello? Is anybody there?" She yelled in the forest.
To be honest, mom's clothes is kind of comfortable to wear.....
A random thought appeared in her head as she walked.
That is, she stopped when she saw someone looking at her from behind the trees.
It was Eren.
"Eren? Is that-" She gasped while she stopped walking closer to Eren as he removed the blind fold on his head, revealing black eyes staring back to her.
Not to mention, his skin was very pale, his clothing that was a white tattered button up shirt, dirty brown pants and broken black boots were bloody.
He then smiled while Mikasa walked out from hiding from the same tree, she was wearing the same outfit and had the same skin color as Eren, as well as having her red scarf, but dirtier, she also has longer hair and was smiling as well.
They look like their younger selves....
But different....
They laughed and said,
"Yahaha.....you found us....."
They walked closer to Emma, the mentioned girl was very scared.
What happened to them?
Why are their eyes pure black???
Why is their clothing dirty and bloody???
She stumbled backwards and accidentally fell on her butt, her lantern on the ground and still on her hand, paralyzed in fear, she watched them go near and awaited for whatever is going to happen there.
But nothing came.
When she opened her eyes, they were giving her something.
A book?
Some meat?
And two bottles of blood....?
"Give the book to the book keeper, he'll show you how to get out from this nightmare." Said Mikasa while Emma took the book.
"Give the bottles of blood to the vampire and his companion, he'll lead you to our friend, the book keeper. And she'll help you in the way." Said Eren as Emma took the bottle of blood.
"Give the meat to the hungry werewolf, so it won't eat you." Said Mikasa.
"Don't lose these items, we won't give you a replacement." The brunette added.
"Be wary for the Teke Teke, The slit mouth man (not woman for now lol), The 8 foot tall woman and some others." Said the ravenette.
Huh?
Teke teke?
Slit mouth man?
8 foot tall woman?
Many others?
I'm in real danger....
"Ignore her sounds and don't look at The 8 foot tall woman.
Answer so-so to the slit mouth man.
Tell the Teke Teke that her legs are in the Meishin Railway.
Some of them are harmless and need nothing to do
Tell Aka Manto you don't want either color, or ignore him.
Give the werewolf meat, and she'll leave you alone.
Don't let the button eyed people brainwash you with their charms." Finished the brunette
"The others you can deal with running away. But some of them will follow you until you get out of here." Said the ravenette female.
"Dying here by the hands of them isn't recommended, it won't wake you up." Said the male.
"Goodluck." They said in unison before they vanished into thin air.
"H-Huh!? Eren!? Mikasa!?" She yelled before standing up, putting the small book that had the name 'Legends, Myths, and Monsters. Vol. 1', small sealed bag (that is layered bag by bag) of meat and the bottles of blood in her pockets.
"Where should I go now?" She asked herself while she held her lantern.
A small black and grey two tailed fox with some grey glowing markings then passed her, running around her then running off to another direction.
"Hey! Wait!" She yelled, running after the fox, but it was faster, so she was having a hard time catching up to it, even with her athletic abilities, the animal was faster and easily blended in with the shadows.
"Stop!" She yelled before going to a complete stop.
The green eyed girl realized that she lost the animal, and was again lost in the woods.
The female looked around with wide eyes, she didn't know where she was, she didn't know how to get out of here.
Where am I?!?
What place is this?!?
Where is everybody?!?
Who's Teke Teke and the rest!?!
Stay calm Emma....
Stay calm and focus....
Soon, the face of fear turned into a face of analyzation, thought, and observation.
The girl in purple began to walk around.
Think.
What can I do now in this situation?
I'll follow what Eren and Mikasa told me, it looks like it'll be the key for my survival.
Danger lurks around me, and I need to becareful wherever I go.
Don't die in their hands.
'Their'
I think it's the people that Eren and Mikasa mentioned.
But....
Who really are they...?
Her train of thoughts stopped when she heard a sound that made her freeze in fear.
"Teke....teke...."
Teke teke....
The sound was coming from behind her, so she turned, the sight making her eyes widen.
A-Anna!?!
There Anna was.
Anna here was making the Teke Teke sound.
She was the Teke Teke in this dream.
Her torso was cut horizontally, leaving her upper body present but her legs missing. The only way she moved was by crawling on the ground, and even with that, she left only a little trail of blood. One of her sleeves were missing while the other was tattered to the point a part of the cloth trailed behind her.
She wore the white clothing from the house, except, torn, dirty and bloody. She carried a dirty and bloody axe with her, looking like it was used. Her neck where her identifier was placed had a scar running through it, going across the identifier.
Her blonde hair was dirty and messy. The braids were there but was messy and loose. Some strands were out of the braid and freely swaying to her movement while some were on her face, but not fully covering it.
Her face was dirty and a creepy smile was plastered on it, her blue bloodshot eyes were wide open as she crawled nearer to he frozen Emma.
"A-Anna....?" She muttered while the mentioned female stopped crawling and answered her a question.
"Can you tell me....?" Her high pitched voice echoed in the air.
"Where are my legs?"
The green eyed girl was about to say that she didn't know until she remembered what Eren and Mikasa told her.
'Tell Teke Teke her legs are in Meishin Railway.'
.....Meishin Railway.....
The ginger gulped before answering her question.
"Your legs are in Meishin Railway!" She yelled out with her eyes closed.
The blonde stared at her as her smile fell, a blank stare boring into Emma.
"Meishin...." Muttered the blonde.
Emma took the chance to escape and ran away from the girl, hearing a crow yell in the sky as she ran.
Her face of fear didn't falter while she kept running.
Anna!?!
Why.....
Why didn't she have her legs?!
Are all my friends like this?!
My family!?
She halted to a stop when she met another person.
It was Giyuu.
He wore the shelter's clothing in a clean and neat manner, no tatters, blood or dirt while his dull blue orbs stared at the girl's frightened green ones.
His ponytail was tied like how it was before, he looked fine, well, the only difference was the presence of the surgical mask covering the lower part of his face.
"Giyuu?" Asked Emma, her face turned into one of relief.
"Ah.....I'm glad your fine, everyone that I met so far wasn't....." She continued while he only stared at the girl.
"Are you alright? You could help me get us out of here?" She asked.
"Am I ugly?" He asked her after a few moments of silence.
"What?" She asked him back, tilting her head.
"I said....." He proceeded to remove his mask, making Emma back away in fear and with wide eyes.
"Am I ugly?"
There Giyuu revealed his face that was slit open from the mouth and to the ears, revealing a bloody mess. The slit mouth injury revealed the insides of his mouth, the teeth, tounge, all that. What was weird as well was that the mask wasn't stained.
"Am I ugly?"
He repeated in a more aggressive tone now, making Emma snap out of her trane from staring at the fatal injury.
'Answer so-so to the slit mouth man.'
And that she did.
"So-so!" She yelled at him, making him confused. And that confusion was taken advantage of as she ran away from Giyuu.
After a few minutes of running she yelled,
"Why?! Why is all of this happening to my friends and family!?" The girl yelled in the night sky as tears started to fall from the green eyed girl's face. Dropping to the ground as she slowed down to a walk.
Sniffling she looked around for any life or any person that won't kill her but help her.
"I want to wake up from this nightmare soon..." She muttered as she wiped her tears away, closing her eyes and looking down.
When she opened her eyes and looked up again though, she yelped back in surprise, stumbling backwards but not falling.
"WAH!!!........Shira?"
There, Shira stood, but, she looked like she was defying gravity as she stood on a branch's bottomside, her head facing the ground.
Her slightly messy hair had black roots that turned into white streaks midway. In her bangs and rear hair had the blue streaks at the tips.
She wore a slightly small dress that was sleeveless and looked like it was made out of straps and long rolls of bandages, some of those bandages were dangling freely at the hems of her 'dress'. Her arms had some of those bandages as well, and some of those were dangling freely too. She wore no shoes as those bandages an straps were a little dirty on the ends.
Emma was glad that the dress defied gravity and was tightly tied to her, covering the needed parts.
Her skin was pale and her eyes were still the same baby blue, on her face was the same smiling expression, but now, she's more quieter. She was always quiet and sneaky, but not to the point she would refuse to talk like she was mute. Her scar was there too.
She leaned closer to Emma to try and observe the girl, but was interrupted by a male voice.
"Don't worry snowflake, she seems nice, she even knows your name, maybe she knows you from somewhere."
Shira looked to where the voice came from and turned into an owl with a mist covering her and revealing the animal.
The owl's colors were her tri-colored hair color, most of it's feathers were black, but some of it were white, and her feathers on her wings had the blue streaks at the tips.
Shira's owl form landed beside the male with no sound and transformed back to human, sitting beside him while her legs dangled off the branch. She placed her head on the taller male's shoulder while he hugged her from the side. The girl humming in the proccess.
"Oliver....?"
"Who are you? How do you know our names? How did you know how to escape from them?" He asked with a glare, his red eyes glowing in the dark while showing his fangs. His skin was pale like Shira's and his hair had the same color and messy style, except, there were more red streaks in his hair.
He wore a fancy outfit, a white long sleeved button up shirt with a collar on top of that was a red vest that had a wide black stripe on each side and golden linings, the vest was connected by golden buttons and strings. On his hands were plain black gloves that were unusally clean despite being used most of the time. He also wore black pants and brown boots. On his neck was a white cravat that was neatly tied that Levi approves. He also wore a black cape that had a long 'collar' thing with red color in the inside as well. The cape was held together by a black ribbon tied on top of the cravat.
(Haha I used Todoroki's vampire costume for this because I'm too lazy to think for one I'm so sorry-)
He's a vampire...?
And Shira's a shapeshifter?
"Don't the two of you remember me? It's me, Emma!" She yelled up to them since they were sitting on a branch while the ginger was on the ground.
"Doesn't ring a bell. How about you snowflake?" He asked Shira, who only nodded no in response.
"Snowflake?" Muttered Emma in question.
"Anyways, what do you want? Usually when people see vampires they'd run away and not try to have a conversation with them." Said the red eyed vampire, looking down at her.
"Can you please lead me to the 'book keaper's' place. I need something from him. I heard you knew where it was." The ginger said, careful not to reveal her true goal to the male, having a determined face on.
"Hm? What's that thing I may ask?" He asked, the two were getting interested on what she wanted.
"Sorry, but I can't tell you until I know I can trust you enough." Said the green eyed girl before putting her right hand in her pocket, the place she put the three things given to her by Eren and Mikasa.
"Well, we won't help you without giving anything in return! You know.....we could use some blood right now....we haven't hunt yet so we're feeling a little hungry." He smirked at the girl.
"We?" Questioned the green eyed girl.
"Yeah, 'We'. My little snowflake here's a shapeshifter yes, but she also needs blood to survive for some reason too." He explained while running his hands across his partner's hair, the girl closed her eyes in satisfaction in return, opening them later.
"Well? Do you have anythg to offer? Or we'll turn you into our snack instead." Oliver said, the bloodthirsty duo's eyes were glowing in the dark as they stared down at Emma.
The girl smiled as she brought out one of the bottles and held it out with her right hand.
"So you want this?" Emma asked with a smirk.
"Oh? But that's only enough for one." He said, still smirking.
To be honest, they didn't want to help the ginger, they just wanted blood, for their own survival.
But going to the book keeper? Well that's something interesting for them to stay.
She pulled out another bottle of blood from her pockets, the bottles weren't paticulary as big as plastic bottles, but a little smaller and made of glass.
"Now we're talking!" The vampire beamed with wide eyes and a smile, his face turned back to normal as he nodded at the shapeshifter. The girl removed her head from his shoulder and nodded back, then jumping down to Emma, the vampire followed suit.
That was when Emma noticed the difference in height between them and her.
The vampire was as tall as the present Eren outside this dream. And the shapeshifter's height reached of the vampire's mouth.
WAH! They're tall!
"Well? Don't just stand there comparing our heights!" The red eyed male said in annoyance while their hands were reached out, palms out for Emma to place the glass bottles of blood in.
"Ah! Right!" She placed the two bottles of blood on their palms which the two gladly took, opened and drank.
"Aha....A...ri..ga...to..." Said Shira after drinking the bottle of blood, her voice quiet but of the same calm tone.
So she CAN talk....
But only with blood.
"Human blood! Thanks, uh, Emma! This should last us for 5 full days until our next hunt!" Beamed the vampire as Emma froze in fear, realizing the blood wasn't one of an animal's but of a human's.
"H-Human?!? I thought it was A-Animal blood!" She exclaimed.
"Eh? You didn't know? Well, we could also drink animal blood that'll just last us for 3 full days. But who gave you these anyway? Their delicious! And it's rare blood!" He beamed again, drinking the last bits of the liquid in the bottle after.
"Ma...re....chi...." Muttered Shira after finishing the liquid in her bottle, giving the bottle to Oliver who just kept it in a pocket in his pants.
Should I tell them?
Well, I don't know if I can trust them yet....
What if Eren and Mikasa's life will be in danger because I told them.
"The black eyed children gave you these didn't they....?" He asked his smile falling, his expression turning into one of curiosity.
"The black eyed children?" Repeated Emma, acting dumb.
"Don't act dumb. These glass bottles are all too familiar. And don't worry, we won't hurt them, they're one of our sane friends in the forest after all." Said the albino vampire, smiling in delight.
"Play.....mates....Er...en.....Mi...kasa...." Muttered Shira while looking around, that is, until spotting someone in the forest.
"Ah....I see" Emma sighed in relief.
"Wait, Sane?"
"Yep, sane. Those who still has their right of mind even if the others are driven to insanity." Explained the vampire.
"Ol....lie....kun....Le....Llo....yon...." Shira tugged on the male's sleeve, making him look at the person named 'Le Lloyon'.
There, a man walked around in the forest wearing a dark colored gas mask and a dirty camouflage suit together with a bulletproof vest. You couldn't really tell what color of camouflage was he wearing because it was too dirty. Some black strands of hair were coming out of some parts of the mask too. For footwear, they wore black boots and maybe some guns too in their possession, maybe not.
"Eh? Oh! Oi!!! Yuugo!!!" Oliver called out, smiling while waving his right hand in the air.
"Eh?! Yuugo!?" Exclaimed Emma as she looked at the male who was walking alone.
But when she turned, he was already gone.
"Welp, he disappeared, let's go then." Oliver shrugged it off like it was normal, walking away with Shira hand in hand.
Emma followed behind them and asked, "So where is the book keeper's home or hideout?"
"Un...der....ground..." Said the shapeshifter while pointing downward with her right hand, as her left held the vampire's right.
"Underground? Why?"
"He hid underground together with all the books he had to keep it all away from the insane killers, like Giyuu; The Slit Mouth Man and Anna; The Teke Teke." Explained the vampire.
"A werewolf guards the entrance, but because you met Eren and Mikasa I'm sure you have nothing to worry about." He continued while looking back to Emma with a smile.
Emma felt relieved that she has someone that can help her in this journey, even if it's temporary.
But all that relief vanished when she heard....
"Po. Po. Po."
Emma began to be filled with fear and looked down, suddenly finding interest in the ground. Following the two by looking at their feet.
'Ignore her sounds and don't look at the 8 Foot Tall Woman.'
"Can you hear that?" She asked the two.
"Po. Po. Po."
She heard it again. But louder.
"Hear what?" Asked Oliver.
"That 'Po Po Po' sound." She told them without looking up.
"....Hachi.....shaku.....sama...." Muttered the blue eyed girl before turning to Emma, removing a long strap of bandage from her arm, separating it from the other bandages wrapped in her arm.
"You probably heard Hachishakusama or The 8 Foot Tall woman. She targets you now, maybe because you're a young teenage girl." Said the vampire.
"She targets teenagers!?" Exclaimed Emma.
"And......child....ren....." Said the blue eyed girl while placing the separated bandage in the ginger's hand.
"Po. Po. Po."
"Children too!?"
"Yeah. Now put the blindfold on when you're on the horse already alright?" Instructed Oliver.
"Horse?" Questioned the green eyed girl.
Shira took a few steps back as white mist surrounded her and what revealed when the mist disappeared was a black horse with white hooves, and white mane as well as tail that turned into blue streaks in the end.
"Hop on." He said as he turned into a black bat that had wings turning into white and red eyes. In the black part of his fur were a few red streaks. The bat landed on the horse's head as Emma got on, the horse wasn't that tall, Shira made it that way considering Emma's height.
"Po. Po. Po."
Emma started to tie the blindfold as it covered her eyes, but something sharp was thrown near her face from above cutting the blindfold and scarring from the right end of her left brow to her right cheekbone.
"Ack!" Yelped Emma as she used the blindfolds remains to cover the flesh wound.
"Po. Po. Po."
The sharp object pierced the ground to her right as they looked at the source on who threw the knife.
The person made the bat's eyes widen and yelled for the horse to go and for Emma to hold on and don't look at Hachishakusama.
The person that threw the knife with such precision was Levi, and he was on a tree.
But, he wore a bloody purple police officer uniform with dark purple pants black shoes and a somehow clean white cravat.
"Hey brat, where are you going? Don't you want to eat with your friend Freddy Fazbear?" He asked with the eyes of a killer and a crazed smile that slowly grew.
"W-WHAT HAPPENED TO LEVI!?" Emma asked yelled while squeezing her eyes shut and hugging onto Shira for her life while the horse ran.
"Levi, he's The Man Behind The Slaughter. Behind the slaughter of lots of children that is." Said Oliver while holding onto the horse's mane to not be carried away by the wind.
He looked around to find the 8 foot tall woman. When he found her. She was leaning on a tree, watching as the horse galloped away from her, bringing her target and the bat with it.
"Po. Po. Po."
The 8 foot tall woman had a (S/C) complexion, her lips were curved into a smile while watching them go farther and farther.
She wore a white straw hat and a long white spaghetti strapped dress that were tattered by the hems. The girl was bare foot, making her feet dirty on the bottom.
Her smooth and slightly messy long (H/C) hair reached her calves while swaying a little in the wind.
Her (E/C) orbs glowed in the night as she stared at the retreating figures, the glow of the moon slightly shone on her in this foggy forest, making her look a little more eerie in the woods.
The female giggled to herself before disappearing in the shadows, leaving no trace behind.
"Just don't look at Y/N, the 8 foot tall woman and you'll be fine." Said Oliver while Shira galloped fast, the leaves crunching as her white hooves hit the ground.
Y/N????
But I don't know anyone with the name Y/N....
So how could she appear here?
In my dream?
"SHIRA WATCH OUT!" Yelled Oliver as a knife was thrown at them by Levi who followed them through the trees, determined to kill the young girl.
The horse neighed and turned right to avoid the knife, soon going back to the direction they were heading.
"WH-WHAT HAPPENED!?" Emma asked-yelled.
"Levi's following us, a little too determined to kill you." He replied.
The man behind the slaughter jumped tree to tree just to catch up with them, gaining scratches along the way.
Soon, they see a cliff with an unstable bridge, connecting the two lands.
"The bridge is unstable! He won't follow us then!" Said the bat.
"Bridge!?!" Exclaimed the ginger who still squeezed her eyes shut.
"Hold on tight and don't let go!" Yelled the bat as the horse neighed and went faster, making Emma hold tighter. The knives that were being thrown then were missing as the horse went faster.
Soon the galloping's sounds were added with a wooden sounds as Shira galloped across the bridge, some splinters on the bridge's supposed support beams.
They were nearly in the other side when the bridge gave in to the weight and broke, the cracks started at the middle then reached where the horse was galloping.
The bat heard the audio cue that it'll fully break, so he yelled to them "SHIRA JUMP!"
The horse jumped as the wood under them broke and fell into the foggy abyss, the horse was able to land on the ground, skidding before putting her two hooves up, neighing in the air and then landing back to normal.
"I can open my eyes now right?" Asked the ginger.
"If you could no longer hear the 'po po po' sounds then yeah." Said the bat as he flew to the ground and transformed back to his human self.
Emma opened her eyes and was greeted by another forest that had leaves, no fog and some moonlight seeping through but is dark to her right, and to her left was the cliff with the broken bridge. Crossing was nearly impossible.
On the other side was the forest she was in, and Levi was there, standing as he glared at the group.
"I'll get you next time brat....." He grumbled before running off into the forest.
"It's a good thing that the trees were not close to each other, enough to make space for us to ride through quickly, but here, it's impossible, so I suggest you get off." Said Oliver while looking at the forest then to the two girls, one a human, one a horse.
"Right." Said Emma, climbing down, nearly dropping the lantern she had but she's glad it wasn't broken through the whole trip.
The white mist surrounded Shira as she turned into a......tri-colored kitten?
"Eh? She won't turn back into human?" Questioned the ginger.
"Probably tired from running using four limbs." Said Oliver while picking up the small kitten, her fur was black with white by her paws and face, her tail had the blue streak and her eyes were blue.
"Rest now snowflake." He muttered when putting her inside his white button up long sleeved shirt's chest pocket, hidden by the red and black best he wore.
"Where do we head now?" Asked the ginger.
"In here." Said the male while walking in the forest.
The ginger followed while using her lantern to light up the place.
"This place isn't safe too, if anything, just less dangerous than the other one's. Be vigilant." Warned the vampire to the ginger.
"Right"
Said the green eyed girl while thinking,
Who am I going to encounter now?
