A soft grunt escaped your chapped lips. After dropping Hwasa in her apartment, you were beyond exhausted. The drunk girl was such a pain in the ass. She may be a sweetheart but a drunken Hwasa is a different person.

Pressing your card on the small board beside the door, you exhaled tiredly. You immediately open the door as soon as you heard the familiar buzz. However, once you stepped your foot into the room, you sensed something absurd. Your sensitive hearing perked up in an instant, and your nose sniffed the air.

You smelled a whiff of wine.

You abruptly ran to the kitchen, checking if any of your wine spill onto the floor. An ugly frown slowly came up to your face when you saw your bottles of alcohols stood straight in the storage. Tilting your head out of confusion, you thought of any possibility. But your trains of thoughts were cut off when you heard a sniffle. Your eyes widened as you didn't expected any guest at the moment.

Despite being scared, you turned around meeting nothing but darkness. With your eyes squinted into a line, you walked cautiously to the living room where you heard the sound came from. Your feet tiptoed shyly when you heard the sobs got louder. You couldn't help but gulped at that.

However, what confused you the most was when you saw a glimpse of a familiar bomber jacket on the carpeted floor of your living room. A certain boy popped in your mind. But he said he won't be home tonight, you frowned.

Your feet strolled ever so slowly to where a person sat with their back on you. You felt your fingers trembling as you reached out for the person who was curled on your sofa. As if feeling your presence, the sobs stopped.

But still, you kept your hand on reaching them. And as soon as your fingers tapped their shoulder, you cautiously backed away right when the person turned around.

And your eyes widened in an instant when you found the ever so familiar orbs.

"Jungkook?"

Your roommate's eyes were as wide as you, but you could see his were swollen. His nose was red along with his cheeks. However, your face softened when you saw the way his lips trembled.

You slowly sat beside him on the sofa, while he stared at your every move. The man now sitting straight, no longer curled up into a ball.

"Why.. why are you crying?" you asked slowly.

Jungkook averted his gaze from you, instead staring at his lap that somehow became interesting to him at the moment. He sniffled before clearing his throat as if to show you that he's still the same strong cold man. But you could definitely see under his mask.

"Do you want to talk about it?" you questioned and couldn't help but frown when you saw the way he contemplated to answer. You knew he must be uncomfortable to spill his story to you.

"You can talk to me, I promise I'll never bring this up again tomorrow," you suggested cautiously, observing his lips that never stopped trembling.

At your soft voice, the Alpha's eyes looked up to you. He saw the pure care inside those black orbs. But it felt like as if his words were stuck in his throat. You mouth turned downwards when the man simply stared at you, not saying a single word.

Hearing nothing, you sighed as you stood up from the couch. "I'm going to bring you water, you drank too much wine," you pointed to the empty bottle of wine on the coffee table. You were quick to walk away at the lack of reply.

With a glass of cold water, you sat yourself back on the sofa. You then handed the glass to Jungkook which he thankfully took before gulping it down in an instant. As you watched the man put the glass down on the coffee table, you silently wondered on why is he crying in the middle of the night. Past midnight to be specific.

"Thank you," he mumbled, his voice raspy after. You bit your lip as you nodded at him.

"I'm still up to be your listener," you showed him your small grin.

He couldn't help but smile at that before burying his face in both of his hands.

"Don't judge, okay?" he said softly. Your heart weirdly clenched at how fragile he sounded.

"I broke up," the man began. Those three words were more than enough for you to know the reason behind his breakdown.

You pondered for a while before asking him. "Is it because of me?" you guessed, referring to what happened at school that day. The feeling of being a person who destroy someone's relationship made you feel sick.

Jungkook shook his head as a loud sigh slipped from his lips, "She used me."

"I overheard her conversation in the party, she was talking about using me as one of her toys," the Alpha sobbed into his hands.

You didn't think much longer before you scooted closer to the man, wrapping your arms around him. His shoulders shaking under your hold.

"She was in her rut when she said yes to be my girlfriend. Her intention was to use me while she went through her cycle, but coincidentally my rut came just after her. So she stayed with me a lil bit longer than she intended to. Just to use me, she used m—me," his volume got lower at the end of the sentence.

To see the man you thought was a strong Alpha crying because of a break up, it totally broke your heart. You couldn't help the tear rolling down your cheek as you hugged the man tighter. Blame your sympathetic nature.

Jungkook leaned into your touch, his hair touching your neck as he kept on weeping. Your bare shoulder was getting wet but you couldn't care less. You shut your eyes when you felt his sobs got louder until the point where you couldn't even stand it. It was heartbreaking to say the least.

"She doesn't deserve your tears," you said cautiously, hoping to lessen his cries. Your hand was trembling as it reached up to brush the dampened dark hair from the man's forehead.

"You're a strong man, Jungkook," you gulped, "show her that she meant nothing to you."

Jungkook sobbed as he listened to your words. But you could hear his sniffles slowly subsiding.

"Your sorrow will just feed up her ego, you don't want that, right?" you felt the man nodded onto your neck. A sigh of relief slipped out of you when you heard no more of his cries. The only thing left was his soft sniffles.

"I knew she's up to something," you muttered, "that pig has no idea what she's missing."

"Such a slut."

Jungkook chuckled despite of crying a few moments ago. You couldn't help but smile when you heard the soft sound. Careful with your hold on him, he sat up, leaving a wet patch on your neck and collarbone. The Alpha then looked at you, a sideway smile lingering on his swollen lips.

"Thank you, Eunha," he said, barely a whisper.

Your eyes softened at his current state. Eyes red for crying for so long, nose runny and his face swollen. It was breaking you to see him getting all worked up because of his bitchy ex.

"My pleasure," you convinced.

You watched as the man sighed, slumping deeper onto the sofa. Your eyes warily glanced to the clock on the wall which showed the clock hand that barely reach the number 2. Exhaling out of tiredness, you slowly stood up.

Jungkook looked up at you as soon as you did so. "I'm going to bed," you sported a tight lipped smile.

"O—Oh, yeah.. y—yeah of course," the man carefully stood up. You smiled sadly, sparing another glance at the man before opening the door to your room.

"Goodnight, Eunha," you heard the tall male muttered and slowly turned around with your hand on the doorknob.

"Don't stay up until sunrise. There's chemical test tomorrow," you advised awkwardly.

Jungkook nodded, his face now much more brighter than before. "Thanks, once again," he said just before you close the door behind you.

"You've said that three times, Jungkook," you shook your head, clearly amused at the man. He chuckled along with you as he sheepishly rubbed his nape. You gave him a small wave, which he returned before you closed the door to your room.

"Are you certain?" Hwasa doubted with her eyes gleaming pleadingly. You sighed for the umpteenth time at her question.

"Yes, Hwasa. You did not do anything stupid last night," you sent her a forced smile.

The girl exhaled heavily, dropping her head onto the table. Resulting on you to hold her untouched burger to prevent it from falling. "Geez, you were about to loose your lunch,"

Hwasa looked up at you, her face drained because of the hangover. "I feel sick," she muttered lazily. You stood up with a frown as you walked to her side of the table.

"Let's get you to the clinic," you pulled her up by her arms.

The tall girl grunted while you helped her to stand up before walking out of the cafeteria. Oblivious to the pair of eyes that were following your every move.

"Did you take a shower this morning?" you questioned on the way to the school clinic.

Hwasa's body leaned towards you with your hand around her. You could smell the whiff of alcohol despite her perfume.

"Is it obvious?" you heard her muttered. You sighed at her antics.

"You sure are something," you chortled, grinning at the girl who was mirroring your smile.

Hwasa was silent for a few seconds before she suddenly gasped. Despite her massive headache, she managed to shook you. You looked at her weirdly, confused on her behaviour.

"Calm down, sis, you're sick," you advised the girl, holding her shoulders tighter.

Hwasa looked around the hallway you were currently in, checking for any eavesdropper. "Okay," she sighed out after finding out there's no one.

"What do you mean 'okay'?" you frowned.

But Hwasa simply shook her head. She whispered in a hush tone for you to listen. Despite not taking any interest in all of her tea, you felt like she was about to say something worth this time.

"Have you heard about Jungkook's break up?" she asked curiously.

You felt your eyes widened at her question. You mentally told yourself to keep your composure, so you decided to just shake your head.

"Wait, really? I thought you'll be the first one to know," she tilted her head lightly.

You frowned at her, confused on what she was saying. As if sensing your inner question, Hwasa immediately told you what she heard that morning.

"I saw Seulgi conversing with her friends by the lockers. Obviously talking about her break up," she began ranting, her eyes wide and determined.

"It was normal at first, until I heard her saying something rather.. inappropriate," the girl cringed. Hwasa literally shivered at her thoughts, resulting on you to deepened your frown. As if it was even possible.

"She spoke to one of her friend, the blonde one I think. That girl literally sold Jungkook to that blonde bimbo," she spat. At that, your eyes widened in an instant.

"Sold?" you gasped in disgust.

Hwasa nodded with her signature pout. "She said she's done with the poor man so she sold him to her friend. Something like—give me your Chanel bag and Jungkook is yours. They were treating the man like he's an object," Hwasa shook her head.

Walking next to her, you kept your mouth shut. Pondering on what to feel as you absorbed the new tea. It was horrible. No doubt, the ugliest thing you've ever heard.

"I was beyond shocked when I heard her. But guess what she said next that made me even more disgusted," she raised her brow tauntingly at you. You bit your lip as you shook your head. Hwasa looked around the hallway once more before leaning to your ear.

"She assumed you slept with Jungkook," the girl whispered. Her eyes cautious as she waited for your reaction.

You gave her a look. "The hell?"

"I know right?" Hwasa gushed out. She shook her head with a scowl as if trying to get rid of the thought.

"You better be careful if you bump into her," the female Alpha warned, looking at you expectantly. You sighed, hiding your frown with a tight lipped smile.

The rest of the walk to the clinic was silent. Hwasa's body slumped further into your side as if all her energy got drained after ranting about the new tea. You smiled softly as you pushed the door to the clinic open. The nurse looked up from her desk, immediately helping you to lay the poor hangover girl on one of the bed. Hwasa was quick to close her eyes and fall deep into aslumber as soon as her body touched the soft mattress.

It was finally time to go home. Students started to flood the hallway as they couldn't wait to go away from the hellhole. You were about to take a sip of your water bottle when someone called you by the doorway. You cautiously turned around just to be greeted by a certain Alpha waving at you.
