Abeer's POV
I'm the happiest man of earth..no in universe. I can't even express.
She loves me. Meera loves me!!! Nothing can be more good then this!!!!
Oh God!! Thanks a lot. Thanks in tonnes.
I know due to me she cried on her birth day but I entered that corner of her heart.
Well, I'm in her heart !!
Whatever happened with her is really shocking and devastating. I can't even imagine anything like that and today I was regretting whatever I said to her.
It's truly said that you should not say anything to anyone without knowing about them. You never know what they're suffering from or what they've suffered from.
We were cutting the cake but I can understand there would've always been an empty space in her heart which must've been craving for her mom and dad to be present there. I knew I couldn't do it physically right now but yes I had an idea and I did it.
I called Mr.Kapoor and he joined us with his wife and I could sense the happiness of all three of them.
Indeed at first he was too shocked to react by the call but then when he say Meera, he understood.
And I'll not leave that Rajeev Kapoor. Once I see him, I'll kill the bastard with my own hands!! How much he had troubled Meera. I'll not leave him!!!
And finally the boundary of pillows broke.
She was sleeping beside me smiling and I looked at her.
"Not sleepy?" I asked and she looked at me
"I don't know. It feels that today I can sleep peacefully... Heart feels light but still I know much more is left" she said looking at the ceiling
I know what she's talking about!!
I didn't say anything just pulled her very near to me.
"Abeer.." She whispered and I put my finger on her lips
"Sleep Meera. Peacefully! Now you're not alone in anything. Remember that. So let me sleep hugging you. You can't even imagine how tightly I wanted to hug you and sleep" I said and she chuckled snuggling more near me.
"Thanks Abeer. You don't know how lucky and how light I'm feeling today" She said smiling widely and I kissed her cheek closing eyes.
For the first time in these seven months I'm sleeping hugging her tightly and in reciprocation she snuggling very close to me.
I have had the most peaceful night today right. But the thing is I'm not able to sleep seeing her so close to me. I was just seeing her serene face with a smile.
Don't know when sleep overpowered me.
I woke up when I felt someone throwing pillow on me.
"Abeeeeeeeeeerr" someone sang.
I've heard this melodic voice before.
Suddenly someone splashed water on my face
"Arghh" I shouted and woke up sitting on the bed
"What the.." I was saying and looked at Meera who was laughing clutching her stomach with one hand and jug of water in another
"Whaat" I said irritated and she laughed
"Awe. Good morning" She wished and I narrowed my eyes.
"You.Are.Gone." I said and ran behind her when she left room running and laughing
"Mom...dad..aunty" she screamed and ran downstairs
"Meeraa..slow" I yelled from behind but she didn't pay any heed.
"Dad..." she said laughing and hid behind him.
"Abeer.." dad scolded
"Dad, no! Look at me. What she did" I said and dad looked at me from top to bottom.
He looked at Meera and they both started laughing.
"Very bad Abeer. Shame shame" Meera said and laughed
Like seriously. What a family!! I've been made a joker and they're laughing.
"Mom" I whined
"What happened Abeer" came mom's voice
"Look at both your gems!" I complained and looked at Meera who was laughing
I can do anything for this laughter. Anything!
And very soon I joined them in their laughter.
"Meera.It's seven. Go get ready" mom said coming out and Meera nodded running up stairs.
"For what" I asked
"Ask your wife" Mom smirked and I smiled going upstairs.
"Where are you going " I asked while she was going inside bathroom
"Right now for a bath and then temple. Wanna join" she asked and I smirked
"Not temple but yeah to other place for sure" I smirked and she blushed
"Gutter head " She said and ran inside bathroom while I chuckled
Well, I'll join her everywhere. And moreover I've to thank God for giving her to me. Giving her love to me!!
After sometime there was a sound of door opening and Meera walked out from walk in.
"You took so lon.." I said turning around and looked at her.
Damn!! She's giving me mini attacks everytime she wear indian !!
She looks just so damn beautiful in this ivory colored floor length!!
"You look beautiful sweetheart!!" I whispered in her ear kissing her cheek and she smiled.
"I'll be back in sometime" she said and was going when I grabbed her hand
"Wait for me. I'll be back" I told and her smile widened
"But..I'll be going somewhere else too " She said
"I said wait..I'm coming" I repeated and she nodded smiling
After getting ready I went downstairs.
"Meera,come" I called her
"I'm here" she said coming with two home staff
"What's all this" I asked seeing two big cartons in their hands
"Emm..I said you right. We'll not go only to temple" she said and I looked at her confused
"Ohho!! Just come. You'll come to know" she replied grabbing my hand
"Whoa!! So excited " I asked and she chuckled
"Where sir" asked Joseph and I smiled
"Today give this rights to me" I told and he nodded giving the car keys and he himself sat in another car with bodyguards and looked at the cars gritting.
"And to the temple too" she asked frowning
"Yes. Now come" I said and she sat inside
We drove to the temple and went inside.
"Not here. From here" I added and she sighed
"Like a normal people some day. Not from this VVIP line" She replied
"No Meera. We're not going in that crowd. Here" I said and she muttered something.
Surely cursing me!! That too in the temple!!
We went in front and joined our hands and she closed her eyes.
"Cursing in temple is bad habit..that too cursing your husband " I whispered in her ear and she smiled
We offered the flowers and sweets to God and taking the blessings walked out.
"Hmm..so what's next" I asked
"Wait and watch " she said
We came out and she whispered something to Joseph and soon two bodygaurds came with two bags!!
"What's in this" I asked as we moved out to the backside of temple.
"Meeraa..where are you going. " I askes but she didn't say anything
"There they are" she said and I looked at the direction.
There were many dogs, puppies, cats, kittens and cows with their small calves.
Em, that stinks!! And I don't like dogs at all !!
"Meera. What are we doing here. Let's go" I said but she didn't even wait for me to listen.
She ran towards them and took a puppy in her arms.
I sighed and went to her.
"Abeer, see these puppies. They are so so cute" she quirked
" Meera stop touching them. They're dogs!! You'll catch infection" I said and she looked at me
"Abeer..Firstly they're cute puppies and secondly We should enjoy with them and then afterwards we'll sanitize our hands" she replied and opened the bag.
It was full of breads, biscuits and fresh green grass and milk cartons too.
"When did you do all this" I asked surprised
"That's what I do every year Abeer" she said feeding them all.
"Come Abeer. Feed them" she asked
"No, you carry on" I said and when I saw a very small calf near me.
It's really very very cute.
"Look at it. It's looking at you with so much love " she told and I smiled taking some grass from the carton and fed it.
Okay!! I Did it for her. Her happiness!!
"Done. Now come" I said after half an hour and she nodded.
We went towards our car.
"Now let's go home" I told
"No, wait" She said
"Now where Meera" I asked.
She whispered something in Joseph's ear and he looked at me.
"I'm sorry Madam.We can't take you there. Sir will never give permission for that" he said
"Where Joseph" I asked
"To the slums of Mumbai sir" Joseph said and I looked at Meera
"Not at all" I declared and she frowned
"Abeer, I go every year." She said
"No ways" I replied
"Abeer. That's not fair. Why shouldn't I go" She asked
"Because that's not a place for us. For you" I said
"And why it's not a place for us " she asked
"No arguments Meera." I said
"Abeer. It's my birthday. You'll not decide what to do and if you've much problem then go home" she stated
"Joseph directly to mansion" I was saying when she looked at Joseph
"Joseph,Remember, who Dev Malhotra is. Master of your master and if he comes to know that you've denied my order..he'll see you with this master of yours"she snapped and Joseph looked at me with helplessness.
She's sometimes just.. arrghhhh!!!!
"Fine. But remember you'll not run here and there. Understand." I said and she showed me her tongue
"It's my birthday Abeer Malhotra. I'll decide not you" She smirked and I sighed
She don't listen normally so how she'll listen on her birthday !!
"Fine.But I'm not going to step out of the car" I said and she frowned.
"Whatever" she muttered and sat inside
We drove towards the area when the car in front of us suddenly stopped.
"What the hell" I shouted when Meera opened car's door.
"That's it Abeer. Car won't go further. So you sit here and do whatever you want. I'll be back in sometime" she said
"What. I'm not going to leave you far away alone" I told
"Then come" she said
"Fine. You left no option to me" I gritted
I don't know where she took me and everyone was looking at us.
"That's it. There" she exclaimed
I looked forward to see a big platform type something and there were many people specially girls and women standing.
"They knew you're coming" I asked and she smiled
"They wait for me every year on this day" she replied smiling brightly
"Come" she said grabbing my hand and took me there.
Emm..I didn't want to go..still no denials to her. At least today !!
"Hello everyone" she said stepping near to them while I stood a little far.
I'm okay here only !!
"Happy birthday" they all sang in unison and Meera grinned.
"Thankyou." She replied and was talking with a girl when two girls came to me
"You're her husband right" they asked and I nodded
"Yeah" I replied
"She told us to bring you there" one of them told and dragged me towards her.
"I can walk. Leave my hand" I said a bit irritated and she looked down
"Meera...how much time more" I asked when she looked at me
"Would help me distribute these clothes to them ?" she asked
"Bodyguards will do that" I said gesturing them and they did as I said but Meera too did that .
How can Meera live here so much time!!!
"Shall we go home" I asked "Yeah.. now in evening" She said while we walked towards car
"What!! Is there something left now" I asked
"Yes.." she said
"Do it right now. No plans for evening okay" I told and she thought something and smiled
"Okay let's go" she said sitting inside the car.
"Madam where" Joseph asked and she whispered something to which he nodded
I drove the car in direction of the car in front of us and after fifteen minutes we stopped.
We stepped outside and it was an orphanage !.
Hope orphanage
"Why we're here" I asked and she smiled
"I love to share my time with these buddies. Come" she said and we went inside.
I unwillingly !!
I can't be like her!! I'm different.. very different from her.
I can't stay like this ever!! I don't remember that I've even visited any orphanage..
"Hello buddies" Meera exclaimed and the children playing around shouted Meera's name and ran to hug her.
She hugged everyone of them...
Some of whom included their clothes ruined with mud!!
They all wished her birthday .
"Di.You always come in evening. " asked one girl and she smiled
"But today I have some work in evening so I came now" She answered
"But we've ordered the cake for evening" one of them said
"But that's okay.Cancel it ! Sorry " She sighed
"Why cancel. It'll coming in ten minutes" came a lady's voice
"Kriti. Hey" Meera wished
"Happy birthday" she wished and Meera thanked her.
"Kriti. He's my.. " she was going to say when Kriti cut her off
"Mr. Malhotra. Your husband. We know. Hello Mr. Malhotra"she said and I nodded
"Abeer, she's Kriti. The manager of this orphanage" Meera introduced and I said a small Hi to her.
"You wait for just ten minutes okay" She said Meera and she smiled
"So how you all are doing" she asked the children and they smiled
"We missed you. You didn't come to meet us since seven months" a girl complained
"Sorry. I was not here that's why. But yes see today as promised I'm here" she said and everyone clapped.
I looked at my watch. It's eleven. When this all will be over!!
"Who's he Meera didi" asked a small kid and she smiled
"He's Abeer." She said looking at me smiling
"Why did you bring him here. That's our squad right" one boy said
"I'm her husband " I said irritated
"Abeer.." she was going to say before Kriti came with cake
"Kids..it's time for cake cutting " she announced and everyone clapped
Meera is really very happy..and for her I'm wasting my time here...otherwise I would've taken her away for whole day today to some luxury secluded place.
"Abeer..come " she squeaked and I nodded
They all sang birthday song for her while she cut the cake and then she took a piece of cake and looked at me
"No. I'm fine..and I think you should also be fine without this." I said and she glared me
"Abeer, look at their happiness.. don't look at the cake and all" She whispered and I looked at her
"Feed them if they want not me please" I said and she looked at me for a second and nodded looking away.
She fed the cake to Kriti and other children while they made Meera eat that cake which I really didn't like.
"Shall we go" I asked when everyone was busy eating cake and the chocolates which Meera bought for them.
"Yeah, a minute" she said and ran towards the kids
"I'll meet you all soon" she said and hugged them while they showered kisses on her cheeks.
And I'll kiss the same cheeks!!
"Bye" she said and came to me.
We sat in the car when I gave her face wipes.
"What" she asked
"Wipe your cheeks please" I said and she looked at me confused.
"They kissed you there and they were unhygienic " I told irritated and she looked at me
"You're unbelievable Abeer" she yelled and went out of the car
"Meera..listen.." I said getting out of the car
"Joseph. Home" she commanded and Joseph looked at me
"Joseph Home" she shouted again and I sighed
If I didn't like then I don't. What's bad in that !!!
"Meera come to the car" I said and she looked away
She'll not listen like this!!
I picked her up and started moving.
"Abeeerrrr" She screamed
"You didn't listen to me" I stated and put her on the seat and locked the door.
"Child lock. Seriously. Open the door Malhotra otherwise I'll not leave you" She shouted while I sat on driver's seat
"Well, I don't want you to leave me ever tesoro" I said and she gritted her teeth.
"You don't have normal human etiquettes Abeer. I mean seriously !! Is this richness everything in the world!! You didn't even eat a bit of cake which they bought for me so lovingly. You didn't even behave properly and moreover what was the way to talk to a kid or the girl there in slum.." She yelled
"I don't like them and that's it." I said and she sighed.
"Abeer you said you loved me before knowing who I'm.Then tell me what if I would've been an orphan or something like that. Would you dislike me"She asked and I sighed.
"Everytime ,everything can't be related" I replied
"Why do you like me Abeer"she asked all of a sudden
"Firstly I don't like you..I love you" I said smiling and she glared me
"Fine..because you're the most beautiful soul in this world. You think about everyone around you..you care for everyone around you. You love every small thing.. you're happy when someone else is happy..You're not like those other girls who believe in showoff. I love your simplicity. I love you as you on your birthday too want other people to be happy and I can sit in this car till births to tell you the reasons I love you" I said and she smiled
" Exactly. You love me for this only Abeer. For what I am. Then why can't you love the things which I'm doing. Not everyone in this world is born with a silver spoon Abeer. Many don't have even enough money to own the basic necessities. So why can't we help them" She told
"I didn't say no to help them Meera..but help can be done by raising funds too. We too raise funds and that goes directly to charity right" I replied
"And that's what where we go wrong. Many people do charities of money, clothes and food Abeer. There are very few who give their time to these people. Who share their happiness and sorrows with them. They too need our time. Just go and hug these kids Abeer. It will give you so much peace when they'll giggle in your arms. And someday try giving your shoulder to an old person. The blessings they'll give you soothe you! And you know blessings have much more power then your bank balance" she said and I looked at her
The one more reason why I love her!!
"And I love you for this too" I said kissing her cheek and she smiled widely.
Yeah the same cheeks without wiping!!
"Who'll believe that you're the daughter of Mr. Aditya Kapoor. The richest and most powerful person of whole freaking Europe !!" I told and she smiled
"Who knows. If I would've been that Meera Kapoor all these years..maybe I would be like those girls out there" She said
"I bet. You could've never been like them. Know why, because you were always this. This Meera whom I love" I told and she smiled
"Happiest birthday to me" she screamed hugging me and I laughed as we drove to the mansion back.
"So the love birds finally came" mom said as we entered home and Meera smiled looking down.

"So now gentleman I'm throwing party for my daughter in law's first birthday oficially" dad announced and I looked at Meera.
I know she don't like these parties. It will include half of the world!!
"Sure dad" she said smiling.
Great. I knew you'll not say no" dad said excited
"Dad but Meera.." I was going to say when she stopped me
"Come let's do our lunch." She said and everyone nodded
I'll talk about it later.
After the lunch we both went to our room.
"Meera. Why did you say yes to it. I know you hate these parties" I told and she smiled
"Sometimes do something that provide others happiness" She replied and I sighed.
Her theory of selflessness!!
"Abeer..come on he was so happy while announcing it." She said and I smirked pulling her on me and encircled my arms around her waist.
"Thinking about everyone's happiness other then me" I whispered in her ear and she smiled
"Anything for you. Ask whatever you want" She said and I kissed her nose
"You. You're enough for me. Nothing else" I replied as I hid my head in the crook of her neck
"I was always yours Abeer" she admitted kissing my cheek and I smiled
"I felt jealous of those kids who were showering kisses on you" I said and she laughed
"Such an idiot you're. At least see the age difference Abeer" she laughed
"When I say you're mine that means you're only mine Meera and I'm only yours" I said and she smiled
"Je t'aime Abeer(I love you)" she confessed
" Je t'aime aussi mon bebe ( I love you too my baby)" I replied
"Meera, I want the last two hours of your birthday. I didn't get my time with you on your birthday. So will you please give me just two hours of your day. Just you and me" I asked and she smiled
"Permission granted" she said and I smiled
"This birthday will be your best birthday Meera" I told kissing her cheek and went
out of the room.
I've to do many preparations !!!
After all it's my love's birthday!!!!!
