It was just about six o'clock when we arrived at the small, shed-like building. You see, Alex told me he was going to bring out his in-case-of-emergency-kidnap-kit, and I made the mistake of thinking he was fucking with me. I also thought he was joking when he told me he would need to 'rough me up a bit'.

Alex leaned forward, a sick smile on his face. "You're my bitch," he states and before I could react, punches me straight across the face. My jaw drops as I feel blood begin to drip from my nose. "What the fuck?" I scream, clutching my nose as it ached. Man, he had a good right hook. I step forward and punch him straight back in the face. "Argh! Fucken hoe!" He yells, staggering back.

"Hey, hey lovebirds! Stop with the domestic violence! Take that shit outside just like everyone else," Raphael exclaimed from across the room as blood began to spot on the floor at my feet. "But the blood will be good for the whole kidnap-vibe," Alex retorts smugly, smirking down at me in amusement. "Slut," I mutter, walking away from him.

Now, I sat strapped to a flimsy wooden chair with my wrists and ankles taped behind me, with a gag in my mouth and my shirt all ripped after Alex had tackled me to once again attempt to 'rough me up a bit'. Fucking bastard...

Raphael had called Ace an hour ago and had just left to go meet with him in the office. They had taken a video of me pretending to beg for my life, as degrading as it was, I wanted it too seem realistic so that Ace believed it.

Alex was hidden away in a weird, spy-van parked a few meters down the street. They had secret cameras hidden around the room and were monitoring me so that they could see without the risk of being caught. Raphael had fifteen guys positioned around the room, five standing in a circle around my chair and the rest at each corner of the room and a few by the doors.

I was starting to get bored. I had been sitting here for a while now and the room reeked of cat piss and mold. I had tried talking to the guards but they never responded so eventually I gave up.

Suddenly, gunshots sound outside of my shed. Fuck. Of fucking course. The men in my circle move and stand directly in front of me. The knife in my sleeve drops into my hand and I begin to cut the tape as quietly as I can without being noticed. If shit was about to go down, I wasn't going to be tied to a chair and defenseless.

There were shouts and screams and a loud bang on the door, followed by another, and anther. I finally manage to free my hands and lean forward to work on my feet. I don't even care if one of the guys see me now, I will stab them if they try to stop me.

Whoever was outside suddenly falls silent and the banging stops, along with the gunfire. I free my legs and rip the tape off, wincing. I glance at the door in angst, waiting. Everyone was dead silent, and it was freaking me the fuck out. Where the fuck is Alex? Who am I kidding, the little slut is probably outside killing people.

Suddenly, a large explosion blows half of the wall off, including the door. Smoke and debris flies everywhere, enabling me to see anything further than a few feet. All around me, there were shouts and a few more gun shots. Without wasting a second, I charge forward to where the door once was, knife raised.

Amazingly, I manage to get to the front gate without being noticed. Although once I skipped past the crooked, white picket fence, a mans voice shouted, "there she is! There's the girl!" Without turning around, I bolt down the street. My eyes widen as I notice the van was gone. Where the fuck is Alex? I glance over my shoulder as the smoke begins to clear and notice the faint silhouettes of a good ten bodies lying dead on the grass. I couldn't help the thoughts that filled my mind. Was he one of them? Did he die trying to save me, warn me? No, surely not... Alex would save his own ass before even considering mine...

I sprint as fast as my legs will carry me down the road. We were in the outskirts of a small town, there weren't many cars on the street. I smirk as a car turns the corner and slowly begins to drift down the road. I run into the middle of the road and wave my hands, running towards it. It halts and a guy in the drivers seat props his door open. I rush up to him, not bothering to check whether or not I was being followed. I grab his arm and roughly push him onto the sidewalk, jumping in the car.

A guy sat in the passenger seat. "Out!" I shout at him, gesturing to the door. He smirks down at me and laughs. "Are you going to make me, Sweetheart?" He was a lot bigger than me and sure, he looked kind of intimidating, but I didn't care. I pull the gun I had hidden in my jeans out and point it at is head. "Get out of this fucking car or I will blow you fucking brains out," I state as calmly as I could manage. Without another word, he scrambles out of the car, falling onto the road beside the car. I lean over and pull the door shut before taking off back the way I came.

Cool, this is a manual. I spot a few guys running in the direction of the car, guns raised. I recognize their tattoos and know that they are Ace's men. Ace was here. As much as I wanted to kill that smug motherfucker, I had no amo, no backup, and by the looks of it, there were around twenty guys in the chaos hat surrounded the half-blown up shed.

The men began to chase me, firing a few rounds at the back of the car. I manage to miss all of the bullets and take off around the corner, leaving behind the wreckage. Where would I go now?

I pull my phone out of my pocket and pull up a map. To make me feel better about trusting Raphael, Alex had informed me of a safe house he had on the other side of the city. He said that if something were to go wrong, that we would meet there by midnight. I find the street on the map and begin to make my way across the city.

After a while, I notice two black SUVs following close behind me. I sigh and speed up a bit, hoping so badly that it was merely by coincidence that there were two identical, sketchy-looking cars with illegally tinted windows following close on my tail. I turn a few corners to try and lose them but they continue to follow. Fuck it. I speed up, overtaking a few cars and whipping around a corner. The SUV follows and much to my dismay, the window opens and a gun leans out with a gun. I might as well just thank my lucky stars while I'm here, am I right?

He begins to fire the first shot missing by miles but the second smashes through the back window, flying past me and making a bullet hole in the windshield. Fucking assholes.

Right, I am going to 'baby driver' the fuck out of this shit. I mean, I am driving a stolen a Subaru after all...

I speed up even more, cutting through a red light.  A car behind me spins out and hits the first SUV, but it manages to continue chasing after me.

After an extremely life-threatening joy ride, I finally manage to lose the cars. And by 'lose', I mean I accidentally caused them both to crash. One drove into a pickup truck and the other drove into the side of a bridge on a tight corner. I drove around for anther thirty or so minutes, just to make sure I was good, before retreating to Alex's safe house. I arrive to the address he gave me and look at the house on the property. It looked pretty much like every other house on the street, symmetrical with two large white windows and cream-painted wood and a large front porch that stretched around to the front windows.

There was no car near the house other than mine and the lights were off. The house looked deserted. Slowly, I make my way to the front porch and try the door handle. Locked. I make my way to the window, peeking inside through the thin lace curtain. The room I looked into was a kitchen, except with no personal effects, like pictures or food. It was immaculate and untouched. I begin to make my way around the back of the house. There was another door around the back of the house. I intake a sharp breath as I notice the door was open a fraction and hanging off its hinges.

I gently kick the door open a bit more, stepping into the house. Maybe Alex was here and he just forgot the key so had to kick in the door? I mean, why else would it be like that? A door comes up to my right. I check inside. The small bathroom was empty. "Alex?" I say nervously, my voice barely above a whisper. I had a terrible feeling about this, my stomach churning. It was probably just the drive over here.

There was no response. The house was silent, too silent for my liking. I check the kitchen again, a bedroom and finally arrive in the lounge. With his back to me, a man wearing a hood sat on the couch in front of me. I stop dead in my tracks. "Alex?" I whisper again, my voice shaking ever so slightly. The man was silent for a minute, sitting so still I considered the fact that he could possibly be dead.

"Think again." The voice that came from the man sent goosebumps across my skin. No, no, no... Of all fucking people to be sitting on that goddam couch!

Elijah gets up and turns around, revealing the sadistic smirk on his face. Seeing his face, his eyes, all the memories came flooding back, good and bad. I open my mouth to say something but nothing but a gasp comes out. I couldn't move, I couldn't breath, and I certainly was in no position to whip my gun out and shoot him dead right there where he stands. How the fuck did he know where- Fuck, no. The only person who knew where I was going to be was... Alex.

That fucking bastard! He ratted me out to fucking Ace! Ace! His sworn fucking enemy! Oh boy was I going to kill him, and if Ace already has then I am going to torture his dead body and dance on his grave.

I simply stare back at Elijah as he gains closer, his expression becoming neutral, emotionless, that of a robot. There was the murderous glint in his eyes that I had seen one to many times. Shaking myself out of it, I move to launch myself at him but something holds me back. Two large men grab both of my arms and keep me positioned firmly in place. I attempt to free myself of their iron grips but I couldn't do it.

"Elijah, I swear to fucking god if you bring me back to him I will tell him all about us, everything," I threaten quietly. No, I can't go back there, not like this. I was supposed to wait, to everything out before I killed Ace. Of course Alex shows up just as I am getting close. he probably had a deal with Ace all along. I can't be tortured like that, not again.

He chuckles dryly, stepping so close I could feel his breath on my cheek. "He knows," he whispers calmly. I furrow my eyebrows and glare up at him. "What?" I frown. How on earth would Ace have found out?

"He knows. I told him the second I knocked you out and dropped you in the basement," Elijah states with a smirk. What? Then how the fuck am I supposed to blackmail this bitch?

"Now, he wants you back," he continues. Suddenly, I feel a sharp prick in my upper arm and look down to see a needle. "Oh, you sick fuck," I spit, struggling in the men's arms.

"You look good, Eve. It's good to see you," he grins before turning away as black spots begin to appear in my vision.

Don't fall asleep, Ivy, don't fall asleep. As much as I hated the idea of being unconscious anywhere near that psychopath, I couldn't help becoming more and more exhausted until my vision finally went black.
