Prologue

     All pups go on their first hunt at Five Year-of-Age to earn their pack rank. Few die, some get lost, and most end up coming home safe. But for me, I was left behind by my father, the Alpha, for not following an order. 

     Now I know what your thinking. Why not follow them home? Well to tell the truth I could have. But then I would have never became who I am today.

     An inspiration. Civilized. And most importantly a friend.

     I'm proud of my disobedience that day. For most that is hard to say, but that day I made a friend. A friend I never wanted to leave. We became strong together by teaching, learning, helping, shaping, and raising each other. We can't be separated by anyone. We've been together for years, and we will be for years to come.

     I'm Jerome the Wolf. The loyal 'pet' of Mitchell Hughes.

     And this is my story.
