Jess's POV
It was mid-summer and I had left my dad's last week. I was on a bit of a road trip, well it wasn't
really a road trip more of wandering from state to state looking for a small job that I could do.
Currently, I was completely lost in the southeast, yes I had gone from cost to cost in under six
weeks. I glanced over at a shiny green road sign to see that I was entering North Carolina.
Surprisingly, I actually liked North Carolina it had been one of five states that I could remember
the capital of, and it had a nice balance of cities and countryside, I had been to Ashville when I
was about thirteen on one of Mom's 'bonding exercises'. Anyway with this sign and sudden
the disappearance of firework shops I deduced that I had just left South Carolina and was
heading North on a highway called I15.
After a long day of driving, I ended up in a tiny town called Carrboro. I parked in a mostly empty
parking lot next to a food lion. I went in and started counting my money, I had about forty
dollars which meant that all I was eating today was a granola bar. I was lucky to get a full meal
every day but I didn't mind, it was so I could get away from everything everyone, I didn't mind.
Or did I?
Rory's POV
I was in Europe, Italy to be exact. Mom and I were having a great time, well mom was having a
good time I was waiting for Jess to call. Mom had gone out to find coffee and I was laying on the
single bed in our hotel room. Suddenly, I hear my phone ring I picked it up.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Hi" A familiar sounded
"Jess."
"Yes."
"Are we going to start rhyming?" I giggled.
"Very funny Ror. Where are you in Europe?" He asked
"Italy."
"Cool. When are you coming home?"
"Um about a week and a half."
"Well when you come back, there may be a surprise for you."
"What?" I asked happily begging for more details.
" I have to go this is long distance. Bye"
"Jess wait." He hung up.
I shook my head smiling like a mad man.
Lorelai's POV
I heard voices coming from the room as I walked in. I creaked the door open and heard one
word. Jess. I couldn't believe she was talking to him again. That boy broke my little girl and he
would not worm his .Back. Into. Her. Heart.
