Kazuikis pov
I drove down to the child protection services with gundam. Once we arrived two men in black suits came up to us and inspected kokichi.
"yes this is definitely the missing ouma baby" the man muttered. "thank you for your help. We'll place him in the Foster care system immediately."
"wait what if we adopt him" I said before I could stop myself. The two men looked at each other surprised.
"Well it would be wonderful if kokichi could be adopted as soon as possible but we'll have to see if your house is suitable for a baby. Will tomorrow suit you?"
Well no going back now "tomorrow will be just fine"
"excellent! We'll let the others know"
"my darling I do not understand your reasoning here." gundam said confused "you always say that you don't want any children. That you're afraid of treating them badly because of what that beast did to you"
"Well maybe I was just making excuses! Gundam I know we only had kokichi for a short while but I've already fallen in love with him. I don't want to risk him being placed in a abusive home like I was. Please gundam I want to take care of him" I looked up at him hopefully. He sighed.
"very well. If It will make you happy then I shall obliged"
"oh thank you!" I hugged him tightly. "now let's fix up the house for tomorrow."
Time skip to the next day
A woman in a suit came in and sat us down. She started off with some simple questions like what jobs we have and what we like to do in our spare time but then the questions got more personal.
" kazuiki dear according to your fail you were abused as a child is that true?"
"that's none of your business mortal!" gundam said threateningly.
"it's alright gundy" I said reassuringly "yes my father abused me. Dose that lessen my chance of getting kokichi?"
"Well not really dear we'd just be worried about your mental wellbeing"
"oh I see"
"Well from what I've seen I think you'd make wonderful parents but we would need to check up on you every once in a while."
"ok!"
She handed us documents to sign like school and hospital payments and she said kokichi would be ours in a weeks time. We thanked the lady as she left.
I turned to gundam with determination in my eyes. "alright gundam now it's up to us to baby proof this house!"
