Ace's POV
"What the hell do you want?!"
"You like that Y/n girl, right?"
My heart skipped a beat at her name.
"Yeah, and?"
"I'll help you get her back. Only if you promise to move far away from here. I don't want her anywhere near me."
Now this confused me.
"Why?"
There's a catch, I just know it.
"I don't like her. She's human and totally unfit for a Luna."
"I would argue with you but if there is any way of me getting her back in my grasp, then I guess I agree with you. She should not be the Luna of your pack."
Jake smiled and held out his hand.
"So we got a deal(?)"
"Yeah, we do."
Zachary's POV
"Hey, slow down. Don't eat too quick."
She stopped stuffing her face and looked up at me. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw her cheeks puffed out due to the food in her mouth.
"If you eat the berries too quick, you'll be sad when you run out in a minute."
I caressed her cheek and she chewed the berries. After she finished she smiled at me lightly.
"You know, for someone who is supposed to be a big bad wolf, you're really soft."
I laughed.
"Only for you baby."
She smiled and took some more berries.
"Are these from that garden?"
"Of course, all of our other gardens got destroyed."
She looked at me confusingly.
"Why?"
"I'll talk about that later. I just want to focus on you."
She nodded.
"Can you tell me the story now? You couldn't earlier as I fainted again."
"I wish, but I lost my idea for the story. I can't really think of what will happen next, or figure it out—almost like...nevermind."
She nodded again, but I could tell she became down at my words.
"No no no, don't be sad please. Do you want anything? I could get you more berries, or are you up for water now?"
"No I'm fine."
She smiled at me and took some berries.
"It's just a story anyways."
She shrugged her shoulders and began to eat some berries.
Uhh wait, wasn't she just sad—
"Actually I could go for some water, but where do you guys store it or get it from?"
"Oh—umm the river just down the forest trail. I'll ask someone to grab some for you, I'm not letting you out of the den."
I gave her a look and she nodded.
I decided to mind-link Angela.
"Go get Y/n water."
I then closed it. She isn't allowed to argue with me so there was no point of keeping it open.
"I mind-linked Angela, she'll go get you some."
"What's a mind-link?"
She asked with big eyes.
"It's like speaking to someone through their mind. It's something only werewolves can do."
"That's so cool. So I can't do it? Even though I'm your mate?"
Oh, well can she?
I don't even know the question to that. I've never known any werewolf with a human mate, or was given a proper education to learn about it.
"I-I don't really know..."
Gosh this is embarrassing.
"That's ok, we can try it later. I'm still recovering from fainting twice so I don't really wanna try right now."
"That's a good idea."
Then we heard a knock.
"It's the water."
"Oh, already? You guys don't boil it over fire?"
Huh?
"Why would we boil water over a fire?"
"To kill any bacteria or unwanted particles in it."
Angela walked in.
"Well we've never done that."
"Oh..."
She looked suspiciously at the water, and both Angela and I caught it.
"Hmm, but I guess we could do it this once. I'll go collect the newer pots we found a few days ago and start a fire for it."
Y/n hesitatingly nodded.
Oh gosh, she probably feels bad for making her do more work.
"Thank you."
She told Angela.
"Oh?! Uh you're welcome Luna."
I'm saw Y/n become flushed after hearing her call her Luna.
"You can just call me—"
"Angela, come back when you are done. Leave now."
She nodded and left.
"Why are you so mean? And do they have to call me Luna?"
"I'm not mean, just strict. And yes, because you are their Luna."
She hummed and took some berries.
I'll have to send someone out soon to get her more.
I just watched her eat them with a distance in her eyes. I know her thoughts are everywhere right now. They'll probably be like that for a couple days.
I know all of this is so sudden on her, especially with her town dying.
Of course I don't regret killing her town, but I know it's still hard on her.
But she's strong, and she has me with the mate bond.
She'll get used to this.
I know she will.
She has to...

3rd POV
It was finally around daytime, yet the two mates decided to take a nap. Even with the girl's fainting incidents, she still wanted to sleep.
But it left them vulnerable.
So very vulnerable.
Both of their guards were down.
So two specific werewolves took this to their advantage.
"Remember, take the path towards Crescent pack, then try to settle near the Flocster Woods. Just get her away from me."
"Of course."
