𝙰𝙿𝚁𝙸𝙻 𝟿, 𝟸𝟶𝟷𝟿
"HI SWEETHEART" KENNY greeted skylar as they both sat down in his office
"hi ken" skylar smiles softly at the older man in front of her, who she has grown to love as a second father.
"so earlier today i signed a new deal with netflix for a new production i have prepared called julie and the phantoms, it's a musical and a comedy-drama" he explains to the blonde girl in front of him
"another musical?" skylar chuckles softly
"yes, another musical" kenny playfully rolls his eyes "anyways, of course with filming this new production, i will be wanting the best team. that includes my all time favorite acting coach / favorite singer who doesn't want to admit they have a beautiful voice" he perks his eyebrows
skylar playfully rolls her eyes while smiling "and who might that be?" she jokes
kenny chuckles "the one and only, skylar cameron" he points to her "so, what do you say sky?"
skylar smirks "of course i'll come work with you...again"

𝙰𝚄𝙶𝚄𝚂𝚃 𝟹𝟷, 𝟸𝟶𝟷𝟿
"WHY AM I HERE AGAIN?" skylar asks kenny as she takes a seat next to him
"because today is the day where we tell the four lucky musicians that they are our band and you get to meet who you are coaching" kenny tells the girl who is like his daughter
before she could respond four people come into the room "oh look they're here" kenny says "good morning guys! you ready?"
all four mutter a yes, yeah, heck yes, let's go
kenny didn't introduce the girl just yet, he was waiting until they finished performing. kenny told the girl the song they were going to perform was called bright
as the band performed, skylar actually loved their voices, it's like the four were meant to be together. "they're amazing ken" skylar tells kenny as he has the biggest smile on his face
"hell yeah they are" he chuckles
as the band finished skylar, kenny, father of the female singer and the rest of the producers clapped. everyone at this point had their phones out recording the four. the camera man who was filming them, faced the camera on kenny as he walked over to the four "skylar here mentioned something earlier, she said you guys are amazing" kenny points to skylar as the four turn to look at her
"it's like you're meant to be together" skylar adds
"yeah, you are our band" kenny announces as the camera man points the camera to the four who had shocked faces
the female singer began to cry in excitement, skylar couldn't help but smile as she walked over to her
"congratulations, your voice is absolutely beautiful" she tells her as she goes to hug her
"thank you!" the curly brunette girl says
"kenny, you sure do know how to pick them" skylar tells him as kenny nods his head
"i gotta call my mom!" the girl announces as she walks over to her dad, kenny following her
"congratulations guys. you three were amazing as well" skylar tells the three guys
"thank you, i'm jeremy" the brunette male with shorter hair says as he extends his hand to her, skylar shaking it
"i'm owen" the tall blonde male also extending his hand to her
"i'm charlie" the last guy said with a smile, she turns to look at him and she took notice of his green hazel eyes
"skylar" she smiles at him as he goes in for a hug "it's nice to meet all of you"
"good, you two met" kenny announces as he walks over to the four "sky this is who you'll be coaching" kenny says as he places his hand on charlie's shoulder

FOR THE PAST TWO DAYS the whole cast came together for a read-through. each day they would go through an episode. today was episode 3, skylar and kenny were waiting for everyone to show up
"so i have a feeling you might hate me today" kenny starts off as she was sitting on the table with her feet dangling
she furrows her brows "what did you do kenny?"
"so, you see—
"kenny my man!" a voice calls out as they entered the room
skylar's eyes widen "kenny" she whispers
"booboo!" kenny chuckles nervously as he quickly moves away from skylar
skylar took a deep breath before jumping off of the table and glanced over to booboo and kenny
she walks over to them as kenny walks away not wanting to witness the awkwardness
"hey sky" booboo says with a soft smile
"hey" she smiles.
truth is, the two didn't end in bad terms, just with the break up, it got a little weird between them
"come here" she chuckles softly and hugs him, booboo wrapping his hands around her waist
"i've missed you" booboo whispers
"i've missed you too" she admits
the two didn't miss each other romantically, they just meant it in a friendly way
"i'm sorry for not texting—
"it was also my fault, maybe this is our second chance of reconnecting" skylar says with a smirk
booboo looks to the floor chuckling softly before looking at skylar "we're totally rooming together"
"wouldn't want to room with anyone else" she winks
"okay, love birds come on" kenny calls out with a smirk at the two as they turn around to see most of the cast in their seats
"why did i take this job again?" skylar chuckles nervously
"because you love working with me" kenny replies with a smile
skylar playfully rolls her eyes as she takes her seat next to charlie who gives her a sad smile
