'Kill. Kill... Time to kill!'
I woke up for the third time. I kept hearing this thing keep repeating the same line. I went to the common room to read something and when I went downstairs I saw my sister on the couch alone.
I sat beside her "Aurora, do you hear it too?" I asked her.
"You mean the thing that is going Kill. Kill... Time to kill?" She asked and I nodded.
"I couldn't sleep it happens the time when Mrs Norris got petrified and now it happened again," I said.
"I don't know I asked Chloe my bestie and she said that I'm probably dreaming." She said.
"I asked Sofie and she told me that she can't hear anything," I said sitting next to her.
"I don't know maybe it's just nothing. It seemed to stop so let's go back to bed." She said and I nodded in agreement.
I then slept without any interruptions.
--- Next Afternoon ---
Half of the school was in the great hall for the Dueling club. It was a club for us to learn how to defend ourselves taught by Lockhart. I was next to Draco and Ellie. Draco's arm healed thank, Merlin.
"Gather 'round, gather 'round! Can everybody see me? Can you all hear me? Excellent! In light of the dark events of recent weeks, Professor Dumbledore has granted me permission to start this little Dueling Club to train you all up in case you ever need to defend yourselves, as I myself have done on countless occasions for full details, see my published works. Let me introduce my assistant, Professor Snape." He said and Snape went on to the stage.
"This will be good" I whispered in Draco's ear and he smirked.
"He has sportingly agreed to help me with a short demonstration. Now, I don't want any of you, youngsters, to worry- you'll still have your Potions master when I'm through with him, never fear. One, two, three." He said but before he could do anything.
"Expelliarmus!" Said Snape pointing his wand at Lockhart sending him flying back.
"Is he alright??" Pansy asked with a worried look on her face.
"Who cares," Me and Draco said simultaneously.
"An excellent idea to show them that, Professor Snape, but if you don't mind me saying, it was pretty obvious- ah- what you were about to do. And if I had wanted to stop you, it would have been only too easy." He said trying to make himself look cool.
"Perhaps it would be prudent to first teach the students to block unfriendly spells, Professor." Snape fired back smiling sarcastically.
"An excellent suggestion, Professor Snape! Ah... Let's have a volunteer pair! Um, Potter, Weasley, how about you?" Lockhart said.
"Weasley's wand causes devastation with the simplest spells. We'll be sending Potter to the hospital wing in a matchbox. Might I suggest someone from my own house? Malfoy, perhaps?" Snape said and Draco got on the stage.
"Yes, Granger be Harry's second," Lockhart said to Granger and she got on the stage along with Potter who's arm had healed.
"Very well. Villin be Malfoy's second!" Said Snape pointing at me.
"Seconds First," said Lockhart.
Me and Granger walked to the middle of the stage placed our wands in front of our faces and then removed them. We then went to each side of the table.
"One...two...three" Lockhart said.
"Expelliarmus," we said together and when our spells hit each other we both bounced back landing in our arse.
"Well that was unexpected," said Lockhart. I got off the stage and went to my place.
Up next were Saint Potter and Draco.
When Lockhart counted up to two Draco fired a spell that made Potter fly back and land on his face.
Then Potter fired a spell back making Draco land on his arse.
Draco then cast a spell 'Serpensortia' which made a snake come out of his wand.
It turned to me and said, "Hey there!" In a way that it would kill me.
"Turn around and don't kill anyone," I said. Then I turned to a Hufflepuff boy. "What about him?" it said.
"Don't attack him" Potter told the Snake.
"Don't attack" I said.
"As you wishhhhh" it said then Snape cast a spell to make it burn into ashes.
"What are you two playing at?!" the Hufflepuff said.
Everyone was looking at me and at Potter. Mostly at Potter.
All of my friends took me into the common room for what looked like an interrogation.
They basically threw me on the sofa and Draco, Sofie, Ellie, Pansy, Blaise, Crabbe and Goyle were all around the sofa standing.
"What the bloody hell happened now?!" I spat. Why are they doing I did nothing wrong.
"You're a parselmouth what the heck!? Why don't you tell us??" Ellie snapped.
"My entire family can speak to snakes," I said.
"Yeah, Ellie the Villin family is known to speak to snakes. Now the problem is why where you egging the snake on the Hufflepuff you will make us that us Slytherins are evil." Sofie said panicking.
"Nooooooo! I was telling it not to attack the Hufflepuff and so was Potter" I said.
"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh" they all said together.
"Then why can potter speak it?" Asked Pansy.
"I don't know, but..." I said before being cut off.
"What are you doing to my sister!?" I hear Aurora shout.
"We had a miss understanding we thought she was egging the snake Draco made appear on a Hufflepuff," Crabbe said.
"That's ridiculous. She would never do that...if she was going to make a snake attack someone it would be Lockhart" she continued and we all laughed.
"Wait a second. Do you remember the thing that was saying 'kill...time to kill' ?" I asked her.
"Yeah what about it?" She said.
"We can only hear it maybe the monster is a snake," I said.
"True but snakes can't petrify people," she said.
"A normal snake can't but a Basilisk can," said Draco. We all turned to face him and he continued. "I read about them they are giant snakes that can live more than a thousand years. If they look you in the eye you die" he said.
"This is why you are the best," I said.
"Sorry, Fran we shouldn't have assumed what you said," Pansy told me.
"It's okay Pansy," I said. Then they all went away except for Draco.
"I'm sorry, I was being selfish and I shouldn't have made the snake pop out of my wand and..." he said.
"Stop it Draco!" I snapped. His eyes widened in fear. Then I realised that the entire common room was watching.
I grabbed his hand and led him out the door. I knew exactly where I was taking him. The Astronomy tower.
We arrived in the astronomy tower where the sky was beautiful with all of the stars shining bright. We walked to where there was the railing and I said "I'm not mad at you Draco. I'm just a bit concerned that you taught I would want to kill a person. True I hate mudbloods but not kill them."
"I know," he said. Looking at the sky.
"Beautiful isn't it? It is the best view you can get of the Hogwarts grounds" I said looking at the beautiful scenery.
"It is but you are more," he said shyly.
"What did you say?" I questioned him in disbelief.
"I said you are more beautiful than the stars, the sky the scenery...I guess what I would like to say is...I'm in love with you. I love you Francesca Villin" he said. When he said that I knew he meant what he said.
"Draco Malfoy, I love you too," I said.
And like two magnets our lips met. I am officially in love with him. Our lips moved in sync. His hand wrapped around my waist pulling me closer deepening the kiss. My arms wrapped around his neck.
We wanted to stay like that forever. And Forever seemed right.
We separated our lips and rested our foreheads on each others.
"I want to tell them," he said.
"What?" I said.
"I want to tell our parents about us," he said.
"I think it's best too they will find out sooner or later. We will tell them in the summer since we are going to spend Christmas here." I said and he nodded.
He looked at the watch I gave him last Christmas and his eyes widened. "Bloody hell it's past hours," he said and we went to bed without getting caught by Filch.
