"𝐲𝐨! 𝐲/𝐧! 𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐛 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫!" looking up from your phone you cracked a smile, kuroo shot one back, taking a seat beside you, "whats up?" his smiled turned into a playful smirk. turning around you noticed kenma walking towards you, a taller boy with black hair and another one who looked as odd as they come.
"hey hey hey! kuroo! so this is y/n huh~"
the odd looking one took an extra step forward while you shot kenma a confused look, he pulled the other one back a bit, keeping a bored expression, "y/n, this is bokuto koutarou, bokuto, this is l/n, y/n." you smiled before extending your hand, you didnt expect him the grab your hand as forcefully as he did, aggressively shaking it-
"nice to meet you l/n! akaashiiiiii- come meet her!" the other boy, who you just learned is named, 'akaashi' stepped forward with a tired expression that you were all too familiar with as well. after a moment he did smile slightly, and you couldnt deny it, you were surrounded by some, very, attractive boys.
taking the dark haired boys hand, you noticed how much softer his hands were, and exactly how gently he shook your hand. "akaashi, keiji." there a was a faint smile present on his face as he took a step back away from you.
"l/n, y/n. its great to meet you both!"

just sitting at the table with them was nerve wracking to you. if you had realized when kuroo said, "come hang out with me and kenma today!" that he meant, "hey come hang out with me and kenma AND our super attractive friends!" maybe you couldve mentally prepared yourself. its not that you were necessarily scared of them, just the awkward tension of being around almost complete strangers.
"uhm so- do you all play volleyball?"
bokuto cracked a smile and leaned towards you, placing his chin in his hand, "yes ma'am! and you, are looking at one of the top five wing spikers in this nation!" you laughed a little at his obvious excitement, "bokuto-san was in the top three. not anymore though." the owl like boys attitude did a whole 360, "oh come on! im still pretty good!" kuroo was quick to sling an arm around him, "aw yeah! totally! just work on those mood swings."
you kept a smile, watching the boys banter, "you really just came for this mans whole career huh?" they all held grins on their faces, looking over you noticed kenma with the slightest smile,
"hey- ko, did you end up having to run those suicides?"
he sighed, kuroo shot you a questionable look, him and bokuto both eyeing you and the blonde, who was sitting next to you. "i dunno l/n, why were you sneaking out with him so late?" you could practically feel the heat rush to your cheeks, "uhm, well, he needed help with his- uh-" looking over you gave kenma a look that screamed 'help',
"english homework, kuro, it was nothing. stop being weird."
kuroo let out an absolutely obnoxious laugh, "uh huh, im sure holding hands and kissing is 100% part of the assignment too- or was that some extra credit-" your eyes widened, looking over at kenma he shrugged, "at least i can pull."
"what is your problem."

after spending practically all day with the four of them you decided that youd rather not deal with the two walking headaches, *cough* kuroo and bokuto *cough*, you turned to leave with kenma, not before akaashi caught you-
"l/n, can i speak with you?"
you gave a half-assed nod, completely caught off guard, "hey, ko, ill catch up in a sec-" he gave a thumbs up, not looking up from his phone.
"so, are you and kenma together?" you froze before letting out a slight giggle, "oh- no! not at all! i mean we're really close! but kuroo was just exaggerating!" you swore you saw a flash of relief go across his face, "so does that mean, that maybe i could have your number?" you stared wide eyed at the boy,
i mean, a very pretty boy just asked for your number. you'd be dumb as shit to say no. then again, kenma was waiting-
"i don't want to make you uncomfortable so-"
"of course akaashi! here-"
you handed him your phone, he quickly entered his own phone number and texted himself, "ill see you another time, bye, y/n." you smiled sweetly before turning to see kenma waiting patiently.
"so akaashi huh?" you gave a confused look, "what about it? hes really nice-" kenma still didnt look up from his phone, "yeah. be careful."
"why?"
he finally looked up,
"you dont wanna hurt anyone."
you dont know why but something in you told you to hug him. so thats what you did,
"ko- dont worry about it, everythings gonna be fine- besides, i think i might like someone. not too sure though."
he pulled away and for the rest of the walk home, he didnt look back down at his phone.
