3ʳᵈ POV
Nancy just finished her photo shoot with some of the models in the agency for a campaign ad of a clothing brand in Korea. She's about to change her clothes in the dressing room when she notices Suzy, her best friend, waiting for her.
"I thought you were having a meeting with the boss." Nancy said as some of the models entered the room to change their clothes as well.
"Just hurry up and change your clothes. I need a drink." Suzy grumbled. Nancy raises an eyebrow in response to what she has just heard. She looked at the clock in the room and realized it was still too early for a drink. She was about to say something, but her friend shooed her away, causing her eyes to roll.
Several minutes later, the models have finished changing their clothes and have exited the dressing room. Nancy finished as well. She was about to chastise her friend for hurrying her up when she noticed Suzy gritting her teeth and clutching her bag tightly while sitting on the couch.
"What's wrong with you?" She asks as she takes a seat beside her friend.
"Those Kims are really getting on my nerves." Suzy fumed.
"Did Miss Ruby Jane chastise you again? I thought you woke up early for that meeting." Nancy said curiously.
"It's not the small bitch. It's the small bitch's cousin. The other Kim bitch." Suzy angrily said.
"Language Suzy! You should lower your voice. What if the other models heard you?" Nancy expressed concern, but they are unaware that someone is already listening to them because the door of the dressing room is slightly open.
"I don't care. They can't just fire me like that." Suzy said, rolling her eyes at her friend.
"But they might treat you poorly throughout your time here at the agency." Nancy said worriedly but Suzy just frowns at her.
"Whatever." Suzy said and looks at her fingernails which is a habit of her.
"So what happened to the meeting? Is Miss Ruby Jane not there?" Nancy asked.
"Nope. The small bitch is not there it's the other Kim bitch that held the meeting." Suzy said irritated.
"Damn Suzy. I told you not to call them that!" Nancy anxiously said.
"I can't help it, I'm so mad at them. Fuck them! Why is everything I do wrong, and they always have to chastise me in front of other people." Suzy raged. Nancy is about to say something when Suzy speaks again. "If it isn't because of Lisa, I will not continue my contract here. It's my only way to get close to her." Suzy said anxiously.
"Suzy, we both know you don't have a chance with her." Nancy said, and Suzy rolled her eyes at her friend.
"Don't you believe in my abilities? I can make her mine. Just believe in me, Nancy." Suzy boasted.
"But if you do that, you will ruin your career. Isn't it your dream to be a famous model in Korea, that is why we accepted the opportunity here?" Nancy worriedly asked.
"That is the original plan, my friend, but it's different now. I saw Lisa again. If I get her I can hit two birds in one stone, oh not just two but three. First I will ruin that small bitch, second I can have Lisa all by myself, and lastly I will be the Queen of Lisa's empire. Why settle on being just a model when I can be rich as fuck as Lisa's wife." Suzy said and laughed. Nancy clutches her temples, unable to believe her friend has such lofty goals in life.
"Whatever Suzy, it's your life, but as a friend, I'm telling you to think twice before doing something that could ruin your life." Nancy said. Suzy is about to say something, but Nancy speaks up again, cutting her off. "I'm not in the mood tonight. I don't want to drink. I have another photo shoot tomorrow." Nancy said, quickly grabbing her bag and exiting the room. Suzy is speechless about what happened. She can't believe her friend would do such a thing to her.
"What's up with that attitude? What's wrong with her?" Suzy muttered angrily to herself. She exited the room and was about to follow her friend when she bumped into someone.
"Hey, dumb ass, watch your way!" Suzy yelled as she dropped her bag on the floor.
"I'm sorry, but I did it on purpose." The other said, smirking that made Suzy look up at the person.
"You! It's you-" She's about to say something when the person moves closer to her and whispers into her ear.
"I overheard your conversation with your friend earlier, but don't worry Miss Bae, who am I to pry?" The person said, and Suzy gulped. "Your stubborn friend left you all alone. I know you need a company right now. Come with me. Lets grab a coffee and have a small talk. Maybe my offer can help both of us achieve our goals in life." The person said, laughing. Suzy is about to decline the offer when the person whispers in her ear again. "I don't take no for an answer, Miss Bae."
JISOO
I rushed home after hearing the news from Lisa, even I wasn't finished with my work at the agency. When I entered their home, I noticed Jennie walking back and forth with her hands on her temples. I can tell she's worried by the look on her face. Sehun, one of her bodyguards, noticed me and immediately greeted me and bowed to me. I nodded to him as I walked towards my cousin. I decided to call her name because she was still not paying attention to me.
"Jendeukie." I called her name, and she looked startled.
"Oh my gosh, unnie!" She exclaimed, clutching her chest. "You startled me, unnie!" She exclaimed, frowning at me.
"You're still easily startled, Jendeukie." I chuckled as I sat on the couch with my bag beside me. "Jendeukie, I swear if you don't stop walking in front of me like that. I will cut your feet. Just sit beside me and relax." I said, and she looks at me with furrowed brows, but she agrees and sits beside me in the couch. I hear her sigh deeply before she speaks.
"I'm just worried, unnie." Jennie explained.
"I know Jendeukie. We're all worried, but don't worry. She's with Mr. Han and her other bodyguards. Let's just wait for her. I hope she has good news when she returns." I said, tapping her on the shoulder. Jennie gives me a weak smile and rests her head on my shoulder. I'm about to caress her back when Sehun moves closer to us, causing Jennie to move away from me.
"Mrs. Manoban, I apologize for intruding, but the guards outside called us. A Miss Kang Seulgi with Mr. Kim Taehyung and Mr. Jeon Jungkook are outside and asking permission to enter the premises. They said they have a business with Sajangnim, and they are your friends." Sehun politely explained.
"It's okay, Sehun. They're our friends. Let them in." Jennie said.
Sehun nodded and bowed to us before speaking into his earpiece.
"Why are they here? Do they know anything?" My cousin asked.
"I don't think they have any idea about it. Lisa told us it's confidential." I said.
After a few minutes, the crackheads entered the house.
"My friends, Mandu and Chicken! I miss you both!" Seulgi exclaimed, and was about to hug the two of us when Sehun stepped in front of us to stop her.
"What's the matter with you, dude? They're my friends." Seulgi said irritated.
"I'm just doing my job, Miss." Sehun stated flatly. We heard Jungkook and Taehyung laughing behind her.
"It's fine, Sehun. They're our friends, and she's Lisa's best buddy." Jennie told the bodyguard. Sehun bowed to Seulgi and returned to his guarding position. Seulgi smirked to the guard before hugging the two of us. The boys also approached us. They greeted us and kissed our cheeks before Jennie invited them all to sit on the couch in the living room.
"What's with the tight security?" Seulgi asked as she sit on the couch.
"After Lisa's appearance on the news and what happened with that YG, Lisa decided to have tight security for our safety." Jennnie explained. "Do you want something to drink or eat?" She asked, but the three declined.
"By the way, where is Lisayah? We're here to talk to her, and she's not in her office, that is why we came here." Seulgi asked.
"She said she's doing something important." Jennie explained.
"Lisayah didn't tell you what she was doing or where she was going? I wonder what she's doing right now. She's a chick magnet. What if?" Seulgi wondered, her eyes widening, when Taehyung spoke up.
"I had no idea our Lalisa was so bold as to cheat on her wife." Taehyung said, shaking his head in disappointment.
"Lisa is not cheating on me! I trust her." Jennie asserted in defense of her wife.
"They're just making fun of you Jennie. We all know how whipped our Lalisa is for you." Jungkook says as the other two laugh. Jennie is scowling at them. These crackheadd never change.
"So the rumors are true that you're already whipped to our Lalisa." Taehyung said, making Jennie blush.
"I am so proud of my buddy. I hope I can make Irene whip to me as well." Seulgi said dramatically, but we only laughed at her.
"Seriously, why are the three of you here?" Jennie asked.
"We'd like to invite all of you to the opening of our bar this weekend." Jungkook said.
"What?!?" Jennie and I both exclaimed at the same time.
"You have your own bar now?" I asked.
"Yes, but not entirely my own because I have business partners." He said, smiling at us. I noticed my cousin frowning at them.
"Don't tell me these crackheads are your business partners." Jennie expressed concern, pointing to Seulgi and Taehyung.
"Yah Jennieyah! What's wrong with us being his business partners?" Seulgi asked anxiously.
"Because you'll all go to that bar every night." Jennie worriedly explained. "Your livers will suffer someday as a result of that." Jennie said, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Yah ~ Mandu don't say that." Seulgi worriedly said.
"Whatever." Jennie said, rolling her eyes at them. "I don't think Lisa and I will be able to make it to your opening. We have important things to do this weekend." Jennie said with her resting bitch face.
"Yah! Jennieyah, stop acting like that. You cannot scared us. Lisa needs to be there because she's the most important guest in the opening." Taehyung said as he crossed his legs.
"And why?" Jennie asked with her brow furrowed.
"Jungkook manages the bar, but Lisa is our main investor. We can say she owns 70% of the shares in that bar." Taehyung explained, making Jennie and I widen our eyes. Lalisa, you're doomed.
"How come she didn't tell me?" Jennie asked.
"Hey, don't be mad at her. We asked her to keep it a secret first because I know some of you will be against it. It's our ultimate dream to have our own bar." Jungkook explained as he scratched his nape. "And the plan happened before the two of you got together." He explained.
"I'll still chastise her for it." Jennie said, gritting her teeth.
"Hey Jendeukie, let her explain first, maybe she forgot about it as well, a lot of things happening to us that maybe it slipped her mind." I said quietly to her. Jennie looks at me and then calms down.
"You're right, unnie." She sighed.
"But I'm not sure we'll be able to make it because we have important things to do this weekend." Jennie stated sternly.
"We even invited some well-known personalities. Even your models in the agency. One of your models from the US is Wendy's friend, I believe her name is Nancy, and she's coming." Seulgi said.
"Yes, she is." I say, and Jennie stares at me. Perhaps she's thinking hard right now.
"I hope all of you can make it. It's best if the squad is complete." Seulgi said, weakly smiling at us.
"I'll ask Lisa about it." Jennie said, without looking at them, and Seulgi nodded.
"How about you, Jisoo? I hope you and Rosé can make it." Seulgi said.
"I'll also ask her if she's available this weekend." I said.
"Speaking of Rosé, I had no idea her father and my dad were buddies. He's always at our house playing chess with him." Seulgi told me.
"Yeah, she mentioned it to me." I said, smiling. In my peripheral vision, I see my cousin looking at me with concern.
"Her family has invited us to their house next week. My father said it's just a family dinner with them, but attendance is a must because Mr. Park is an important friend of his." Seulgi said, crossing her arms over her chest. Jennie and I were both taken aback by what she said. What if Rosé's father suddenly announces her engagement to Seulgi's younger brother? I'm starting to worry right now.
"I hope her mom cooks delicious foods. I heard she's a chef." Seulgi said, smiling at us.
LISA
We've arrived at the hospital, and I'm on my way to the guard's room. Mr. Han and a few of my bodyguards have joined me. We even use the hospital's private elevator for my safety. When we arrived at the floor where the guard room is. I didn't expect to run into someone I knew.
"Is that you, Lisa?" The lady asked. "You changed your hair color." She pointed out.
"What are you doing here, Mina?" I asked. She's about to say something when Mr. Han abruptly stops her from approaching me.
"Mr. Han. She's my friend." I told him, and he returned back to my side. "I'm so sorry, Mina. I have a tight security now." I said, scratching my nape. She smiles and nods at me. "Why are you here? Are you okay? Are you here to see someone who is sick?" I asked, but she shook her head.
"No. I'm just visiting my dad, who owns this hospital." Mina explained, and I widened my eyes, wondering if that's why she's allowed to use the hospital's private elevator as well.
"I had no idea your family owned this hospital." I said, and she smiled back.
"Are you here to see someone, Lisa?" She asked. I only nod and smile at her because I can't tell her any more details.
"I have to go, Mina, but it's great to see you again." I abruptly stated.
"Yeah, it's good to see you again, Lisa. By the way, I heard about your wedding, congratulations." Mina said, weakly smiling at me. I'm about to thank her when she speaks up again. "Do I know her?" She asked while looking intently at me. Why did the atmosphere suddenly become awkward?
"I-I can't tell you right now, but you'll know her soon." I said, smiling at her.
"Someone is already in my mind, Lisa." She said and chuckled. "I guess she really makes you happy, you look different from the last time I saw you." She said. "Well, I'm so happy to talk to you again. It's really nice to see you Lisa. I thought I'd only see you in my dreams." Mina said, kissing me on the cheek before entering the elevator.
"Nice to see you as well, Mina." I said as the elevator door closed. We rush to the guard's quarters after that awkward encounter. When they saw me coming, the security guards bowed to me. I nod and enter the room.
When I walk in, someone is already conversing with the guard. An officer who is obtaining his statement. When the injured guard saw me, his eyes widened. His face suddenly became worried and troubled.
"Sajangnim, please capture that guy! I remember him saying he would kill you just to get Miss Ruby Jane!" The guard suddenly said to me that surprised us.
