This takes place after the last chapter
Florian walked around to spy on the night, he sees Sabor up in the trees, then Nirmala, Surak and Baliyo, walked around finishing their patrol for the night, Sabor climbs down the tree and runs out to the mountain pass. "Where is he going?" Baliyo asked
"I don't know, he did this last night top, but he always comes back before sunrise." Nirmala said
Surak looks at the mountain pass. "I hope he will make it back okay." Surak said
"don't worry, he will make it back, he has good eye sight." Baliyo said
Nirmala walked and almost stepping on Florian, Hey, watch where you step." he yelled
"Oh, I'm sorry, wait, who are you and why are you up this late at night?" Nirmala asked
"My name is Babblestar." Florian lied
"Babblestar is a funny name." Baliyo said
"Well I was names that because I talked all the time" Florian said
"Alright, we'll leave you alone, go find a place sleep." Nirmala said
"Oh, I sure will." Florian stares with a creepy look, "I sure will." Florian started to laugh evilly.
The sun is about to rise, Sabor comes back from the mountain pass. "Did I miss anything?" he asked.
"No, we are about to start our meeting" Nirmala said. Kion and Rani walks out of the Tree to meet with the group, Fuli and the rest also show up. "the night time patrol was easy, although we saw a squirrel that was named Babblestar." Nirmala said
Kion perks up "Wait, Babblestar, we know him, we met him yesterday."
"Um, strange, you met him, and now we've met him and the times were different." Surak said
"Alright, we got to turn, see you during sunset." Nirmala said walking off with Surak, Baliyo, and Sabor. "Alright, Fuli, take charge today, I am going with Rani." Kion said
Kion and Rani heads to the lake
To Ajax
Ajax is cuddled up with Kara, one of Ajax's cubs tried to push him to get up, "Ah, come on daddy, get up, I want to play." the cubs said
"Your sons up Ajax" Kara said
Ajax gets up, "Alright fine, I'll get up and play with you." Ajax said
Ajax's cub starts cheering and jumping around, his two other cubs start running around also. Ajax and his cubs play around for a bit until Ajax sees Florian waving to him, "Alright my cubs, daddy got to go somewhere, go play with your mother" Ajax walks to Florian.
"Alright Florian, What have you got me from last night?" Ajax asked
"Well, Kion and his group patrol during the day, then Nirmala and her group patrols at night so there is not really a good time to attack" Florian said
"Um, I'll gather my pride, you start lure Kion and his group away." Ajax ordered
"Yes boss." Florian said as he runs back into the Tree of Life
Back to Kion and Rani
Kion is walking through the forest with Rani as she whispers into Kion's ear, Kion pushes Rani, Rani pushes Kion back, Kion pushes back, Rani pushes Kion onto his back with her falling onto him, they both laugh at each other. Rani gives Kion a small kiss right on the cheek, sudden Florian shows up, "Ah come on" he whispered.
Kion and Rani saw Florian coming up and immediately get up.
"Hey, hey, I need your help, there is something going on." Florian said
"What's going on Babblestar" Rani asked
"There are two animals fighting, come on, bring the rest of the pride, and Ezekiel, it's pretty bad." Florian said
"Why do we need Ezekiel, I think we can do it our selves." Kion said
"shoot, oh wait," Florian whispered "It's two buffaloes and a tiger, they are fighting for territory." Florian said
"Oh, okay we need to bring Beshte to stop their attacks and Fuli and of course Bunga to get there on time to try and settle them down." Kion said
"Come on, lets get them." Rani said
Kion and Rani runs to Fuli, "Fuli, we need your help, their is a huge animal fight and need all of the pride to stop them." Kion said.
Anga flies up, "I'll look ahead." she said
"Wait, you don't want to go there, it's so bad, they are trowing sticks into the air, you could get hurt." Florian said
Anga gives Florian a look, "I'll take my chances." she said and flew off.
"Oh yeah, get Ezekiel too, he might help with this too." Rani said
after a few minutes, Ezekiel joins the group to find the animals fighting. Kion and the group runs with Florian, little did they know, he was tricking them to let Ajax come in secrete.
Ezekiel is getting confused with this "So, why do you need me?" he said
"I don't know but Babblestar said you could help us with this." Kion said
Anga suddenly swoops down in front of Florian, she stares into Florian's eyes "Are you sure that you saw large animals fighting because I don't see anything ahead." she said
"I am sure, we just need to keep going, come on." Florian said but Anga is losing trust on him and started to keep an eye on him
To Ajax
Ajax sneaks through the mountain pass and sees that no one is around besides prey. "Good, Florian did his job well, come on, let get in to the tree and see why this tree is so special." Ajax said
Rawr and his other lions come through, walking to the tree, some rabbits looks and sees Ajax, "Where is our pride?" One of the rabbits said
"I don't know but we are in danger, we can't stay here." another rabbit said
Rabbits runs as far as they can, Ajax enters the tree, "Wow, this is nice, I could get use to this." Ajax whispered.
Ajax sees the roots, "I think they use these roots to heal others, if we take over this, we can too." Ajax said
Rawr walks up the the roots, then he touches them, the roots sudden glows red, and then it caused a shock wave pushing back Rawr, the roots goes back to normal "Whoa, what was that about? Rawr asked
"I think the tree is defending it self, don't touch anything, we don't know what they do." Ajax ordered
suddenly his chest started glowing red, "What, the orb, something going on here it it detects it." Ajax takes the orb of darkness out of his chest, "This orb is detecting something, everyone stand still, I am going to find what this is about." Ajax said
Ajax points the orb everywhere, points it to the wall, glows less, points it to the rock where Kion and Rani sleep, it glows a little brighter, then he points it to the roots, then suddenly it glows brighter then ever, as Ajax gets closer, the roots start to have a green wavy tone and it gets brighter when Ajax gets closer. "That is wired, something is in the roots, and what ever it is, it glows green." Ajax said
Ajax puts the orb of darkness right next to the roots and a small circle in a middle, "What, another orb, this must be how they are healing themselves and others, we need to take it to prevent this." Ajax said
suddenly Azaad walks in and sees Ajax and his lions inside the tree, Rawr sees Azaad, "Hey, What are you doing here?" he asked.
Ajax suddenly puts the orb of darkness back into his chest but it was too late, Azaad already saw it. "Um, what was that you were carrying?" he asked
"Nothing, you saw nothing here, get out,"
"Yeah, I differently saw something here, what was the dark red ball thingy?" Azaad asked
Ajax goes from worried to scary with in a second and Azaad starts backing up "You know what, I got to you know, go somewhere, take a drink of water." Azaad said worriedly
"No I don't think so, you are now a witness and you must die, GET HIM." Ajax ordered
lions starts running towards him, Azaad runs, despite is injury on his leg, he runs as fast as he can. Rawr noticed that Azaad's leg is rapped in leaves, "His leg is injured, he can't run forever." he said
Azaad trips from his injury and suddenly feels pain in his leg and he tenses up, Rawr catches up to him, Azaad tries to get back up but Rawr pins him. "Uh, let go of me you lion." Azaad ordered
"I don't think so cheetah, I am going to let my father deal with you." Rawr said
Ajax walks up to Azaad smiling. "So your leg is injured from one of my attacks and you can't run far." Ajax said
"Go away, I won't let you hurt me." Azaad said
"Oh, I don't think so you cheetah." Ajax puts his paws on Azaad's injured leg and then he rips off the leaves from his leg, Azaad screams in pain
Back to Kion and his group
Kion and Rani are still follow Florian, Fuli pops out, "I didn't see anything, are you sure we are going in the right way?" Fuli asked.
Yes, I am sure we are." Florian said.
A screaming noise sudden;y fills everyone's ears, "Um, I think we are near." Bunga said
Fuli thought about the noise and recolonized it. "Azaad?" Fuli runs off to where the noise comes from. "Azaad, why would Azaad be screaming?" Bunga asked
"Anga, look and see what's going on." Kion said
Anga flies up and takes a look until she sees Azaad under attack by Ajax "What" she said, Anga flies back down, "It's Ajax and his lions, they are attacking Azaad" she said
"Alright, we got to go save him, everyone with me." Kion ordered
Everyone besides Rani and Anga ran off, Anga started to think as she flies into the sky, "Why would Ajax be attacking when we were going to save an animal, and Babblestar didn't want me to come with the group, wait, distraction." Anga thought as she started to stare at Florian, she swoops down, Florian sees Anga swooping down to him and he starts running away but Anga catches him. "Stop right there, who are you working for?" Anga asked
Rani runs up to them, "Anga, let him go." she ordered
When Anga was about to let go, Florian tried to escape once again, but Anga keeps a good hold of him
Rani walks up to Florian, "Alright, I trusted you, now like what Anga said, who are you working for?" Rani asked
"I am not working for anyone" Florian said
Rani gives Anga the signal, Anga flies up with Florian still in her talents, she flies higher then the tallest trees, then she drops Florian, the squirrel falls and screams in fear, before Florian hits the ground, Anga catches him and flies down to the ground, Florian is shaken up in fear, "Okay, I'll talk, I'll talk." Florian said.
"Okay, now what is Ajax doing here Babblestar?" Rani asked
"Well, first of all, my name is not Babblestar, it is actually Florian, and I was distracting you while Ajax snuck in." Florian explained
"Florian, that sounds familiar, wait, you stole food from a lot of animals when my grandmother Jenna was still queen." Rani said
"That's right, and she banished me, if it wasn't for you, I would still be here stealing food from others, but now I've came back for revenge." Florian said
"She banished you for a reason, she gave you multiple warnings but you still didn't obey." Rani explained
"rules are dumb, everyone should be free to do what they want." Florian said
"I don't think so, Anga, get him out of here." Rani ordered
Anga flies off carrying Florian away form the Tree of Life, Rani starts running back to the group
Back to Ajax
Ajax is still attacking Azaad as he continues to scream in pain, "Alright, enough hurting him, he deserves to die" Ajax said
"No, wait, I won't tell anyone." Azaad said
"Those are the last words you'll ever speak Cheetah." Ajax said
Ajax prepares to bite Azaad in the neck to choke him, he suddenly hears Fuli's voice, "It won't be the last words." she said
"Fuli?" Azaad looks at the trees to see Fuli running out of the forest. "Fuli, I need you." Azzad said
"Leave him alone." Fuli ordered
Fuli strikes Ajax knocking him off of Azaad, Kion and the rest of the group besides Rani and Anga, runs out of the forest. "Rawr, you and the others take them, I will take care of these two cheetahs." Ajax ordered." Ajax fights Fuli and he is winning
Kion sees Rawr and then roars at Rawr and the lions making them fly away, then he sees Ajax has knocked down Fuli, Kion fills with rage, "Fuli, no" he said, then Kion roars in anger at Ajax, but Ajax sees the roar coming to him, then he roars forming a shield in front of him but Kion's roars is too powerful, it breaks Ajax's shield and hitting Ajax flying him out of the the lands. Rawr and the other lions run away, Kion runs to Fuli, "Are you okay Fuli?" he askes
"I am, but I am not sure about Azaad." Fuli said
Kion sees Azaad laying in pain, "Azaad, how's bad the pain?" he asked
Azaad is in too much pain to speak, Kion notices, "Beshte, bring him to the tree" Kion said
Beshte picks up Azaad and brings him to the tree, Rani runs to see that the fight was over, then she runs to Kion, "Is Azaad okay?" she asked
Kion shakes his head, "Ajax has injured Azaad's leg even further."
"I'll go get Nirmala." Rani said.
Kion enters the tree to see Azaad still tensing up, a few minutes later, Rani walks in with Nirmala, "What happened here?" she asked
"Ajax is what happened." Fuli said
"Here, I'll take a look." Nirmala looks at Azaad's leg, it's more damaged then it was before but it's still treatable, "I can heal it, but of course, it will need more time for it to heal fully." Nirmala grabs some leaves and a stick, Ezekiel came with some water in his hands, before Nirmala wraps the leaves on his leg, Azaad starts to lose focus from his pain and his eyes begin to close "Azaad, don't let go." Fuli asked
Nirmala takes a look at his face, "The pain is too much for him, he's passing out" Nirmala said
Azaad passes out from the pain, wraps the leaves on Azaad's leg, the she pours water on the leaves, after Nirmala uses puts her paw on the roots, it glow red, then she puts her other paw on Azaad's leg, his leg heals back to the way it was.
"Uh, worked better then I thought." Nirmala said
a few minutes later, Azaad wakes up "Uh, what happened?" he asked
"You were attacked by Ajax." Nirmala said
"Wait, him, before he attacked, I saw him inside the tree" Azaad said
"Wait, what was he doing in here, what did he want?" Rani asked
"When I walked in here, I saw him carrying an orb, it was dark red, and those roots, they had wired green waves." Azaad said
"Wait, green waves." Nirmala said
"Green waves, I think the two orbs detected each other, now since Ajax now knows that their is another orb, we need to protect it, who knows what he can do with two of them." Ezekiel said
"So there are two orbs, not just the ones in the roots, but Ajax has another orb, tell me more about this." Kion ordered
"Okay, there is actually three orbs, and I have the third one, I've made all three of them, the first one, the orb of darkness, it was meant to resurrect the ones who died too early, but it deemed, it worked too well, but it corrupts your mind and gives you unimaginable power and it was too dangerous to keep around other animals so I hid in a temple where no one could find it, set a lot of traps if someone does manage to get in." Ezekiel explained
"So, the power that the orb gave Ajax is the roar?" Kion asked
"I think so, there is no other way that Ajax has that roar." Ezekiel said
"So, the roar, all we have to do is take it away from him." Rani said
"It's not that easy, he has to give up the orb willingly."
"Okay, that is going to be harder then expected, what about the other two orbs." Kion said
"Alright, when I went off on my own to do my experiments, I created another orb, it wasn't as powerful as the first one, but it does heal animals, I tried to see if it worked well, but then I noticed that it couldn't heal injuries directly, then I noticed that this tree was perfect to hold this orb and give it power to heal, so I gave it to Jenna so that she could heal animals in need. that orb was safe with her." Ezekiel explained
"Okay, the orb of healing, we can't heal animals without it." Rani said
"yes, a now the third one." Ezekiel stomps his staff down revealing the orb of Mystery, "When I realized that Ajax has the orb of darkness, I knew something had to be done, so I created this orb, it was meant to counter Ajax's power, it works so far, and I can do a lot of things with it, like bring out lions of the past." Ezekiel explained
"Alright, we need to keep these two orbs safe, wait a second, could the orb of darkness resurrect evil lions too?" Kion asked
"Yes it can, to rise the good lions, the sun needs to be visible during a partly cloudy day." Ezekiel said.
"And I guess that the bad lions needs to be resurrected at night with the moon being visible?" Kion asked
"Not that simple Kion, the moon is involved, but it needs to be done during a total solar eclipse when the sun is at it's highest point, but the next solar eclipse is many days away so we don't have to worry about it." Ezekiel said
"Alright, you guys continue talking, I got to rest." Nirmala walks out of the tree to turn back in.
"Alright, Fuli, you got to keep Azaad away from Ajax when he comes back into the land, he knows something that he is not suppose to know." Rani ordered.
"Alright, queen Rani."
"Azaad, try to stay away from the mountain pass if Ajax decided to suddenly attack the Tree of Life again." Rani said
Azaad nods at Rani, "Alright Rani, I will." Azaad said
Everyone walks out of the tree of life, sees all the animals walking around like nothing has happened.
To Ajax
Ajax and his lions flies from Kion's roar, they land near a tree, "What do we do now father?" Rawr asked
"Well I've learned that there is another orb in the Tree of Life and we must steal it to prevent them from healing each other." Ajax said
Florian suddenly drops from the sky, "You dumb eagle" he yelled
"Florian, what happened?" Ajax asked
"They've broke me, I tried to lure them away but of course, Fuli heard Azaad screaming" Florian said.
"So I guess both of our plans were ruined." Ajax said
"I think so, but I am not giving up just like that, I'm going back in there." Florian said
"Not right now, lets rest, I am pretty sure the cheetah told Kion and Rani about the orb I have" Ajax said
"Oh, that isn't good, what now?" Florian asked.
"We just keep attacking day after day, eventually, they will give up and leave and the Tree of Life will be ours." Ajax said.
"Um, I don't think just attacking will work, we need a better plan, we need to spread out." Florian said.
"Spread out, doesn't sound too bad but the defenders are too large, they will still defeat us." Ajax said
"They are too large, wait, I have an idea, I am going to be gone for a few days, but I'll be back." Florian runs off and disappears into the snow.
"Where is he going?" Rawr asked
"I don't know, but I am sure he'll be back, he hasn't let us down yet." Ajax said
"I believe he will one day, just wait." Rawr said
"If he lets us down, we can have him for lunch." Ajax said
"Lunch sounds good right now, maybe mother has caught something for us."
"Maybe, come on, if she did, we can have some too
Ajax and Rawr walks over to Kara to see she has caught a fairly large animal and a bunny for the cubs. "A my queen, you caught lunch for us." Ajax said
"Yes I have, this should last us for a few days." Kara said
Ajax and Rawr start eating the large animal, "Kara, how did you take this down by yourself?" Ajax asked
"I didn't, I found it during my hunt but it was very sick and couldn't go any further, so I just ended it suffering." Kara said shedding a tear
Ajax wipes the tear off her face, "It's okay Kara, It wasn't going to make it." Ajax tried to comfort Kara
"I just had to do it, It was just laying there barely alive." Kara cried
"Hey, take a break from hunting, I'll send one of the lions to hunt for you." Ajax said
"Okay, I need a break after this, I can't kill an animal unless it's for food." Kara looks at the animal, "I guess this can be food, it's doesn't taste good but lots of protein I guess." Kara said
Rawr looks up, "It tastes fine" then he goes back to eating.
"Well I guess someone likes it." Kara said
One of the cubs tries to steal a bit of the animal, "hey, eat your rabbit first." Kara said then she looks back to see that the cubs has already ate all of it. "Oh, you cubs are eating more everyday." Kara raps a part of the dead animal and gives it to the cubs, the cubs quickly eat it. "They are growing up." Ajax said
Kara smiles, "Yes they are, growing stronger everyday." she said
After a few minutes, "I got to go Kara, I got to get a drink of water." Ajax said
Ajax left to get some water, Rawr followed him, after that point, Anga flew once more to make sure Florian does not try and come back to the Tree of Life, she doesn't see him but she sees Kara and her cubs. she flies down to her, Kara looks at her, "Who are you?" she asked
"I am Anga, and I noticed you have cubs." she said
"Yeah I have them and their mine." Kara said
"Well their is danger lurking around here, I suggest you follow me to the Tree of Life." Anga suggested
"No, I'm fine, plus my king is a strong lion." Kara said
"It's not about strength in the case, this enemy has unseen powers." Anga said
"I said I am fine, thanks for the offer but I rather be here with my king." Kara said
"Okay, but if you ever need help, you know where to find us." Anga flies off back to the Tree of Life. Ajax walks walks back up to Kara and noticed that she is a little worried, "Hey, what's going on?" Ajax asked
"A purple eagle flew down here and told me that their was danger here." Kara said
"A purple eagle?" Ajax realized who she was talking about but kept calm and continued to listen to Kara, "She asked me to join the Tree of Life but I denied her offer because I wanted to be with you." Kara said
"If their is any danger to you, Rawr, or any of our cubs, I will put my life in line to save you." Ajax said and he is not lying about that.
"I know you will." Kara said
Kara and Ajax continue to talk for a few minutes
Back to the Tree of Life
Kion and Rani walked around and talkin about the attack earlier, "Hey that squirrel Babblestar, apparently he allied with Ajax and his real name is Florian." Rani said
"I suspected that, there is almost coincidence where their is an attack while a animal is leading us to a huge animal fight." Kion said
Anga flies down to Kion and Rani, "Hey Florian is out, but I also saw a lioness out there alone with cubs." Anga said
"Did you invite her to here?" Rani asked
"I did but she refused, she said she wanted to be with her king." Anga said
"Well, as long as she has a strong lion with her, she should be okay." Rani said
Rani sees the sun setting, "Alright, night pride should be up soon, got to have our meeting." she said
Kion and Rani went by the tree, the rest of the group is already their, soon after the night pride joins, "How was the day besides the attack?" Nirmala asked.
"It was fine, but that squirrel names Babblestar, he is not who he says he is, his name is actually Florian, he a banished long ago by Janna." Rani explained
"Alright, we'll keep an eye out for him, now I got to go check up on Ono and Ullu." Nirmala walsk into the tree to see take a look at Ono and Ullu, their wings have healed fully.
"Alright, your wings are healed. you can fly again, and Ullu, keep an eye out for a squirrel."
Ono flies off to his nest, and Ullu starts looking for a squirrel. Kion and Rani turn in for the night. Fuli and the rest of the group also turn in, the night is normal like almost every night.
To the Outlands
A dragonfly is flying around a small puddle, A lizard eats grabs it with it's tongue and eats it, circle of life, Nemesis smashes the lizard with his paw, then he throws it into the puddle, "Circle of life" he said
Nemesis turns to Fyre licking his wounds from Vitani's roar, "Fyre, I think you shouldn't attack with us today." Nemesis said
Fyre stops licking, "No, I want to keep attacking, I won't stop until all of Pridelands is taken over." Fyre said
"Fyre, come on, if I lose you, my father wouldn't be happy." Nemesis said
"My brother worried for me, he wouldn't send me with you if he didn't trust you, and if this kills me, just say I wanted this." Fyre said
"I am pretty sure he won't believe that but fine, you can attack." Nemesis said
Fyre goes back to licking his wounds, Nemesis gets on top of the rock, "Outlanders prepare your selves, we are going to attack soon." Nemesis yelled
"Macuu's watering hole here we come." Kiburi said
"alright kiddies, remember your training, crocodiles that is not a part of us, attack them." Reirei said
"oh, a watering hole, we get to take over areas again like last time" Goigoi said
"Yes Goigoi but possibly without fire, we have these lions to help us with the attack." Reirei said
"prepare your self, we attack at noon." Nemesis said
To the Pridelands
Kiara is inside the cave with Nala and Rafiki, Simba is still unconscious "How is he doing?"
Kiara asked.
"I don't know if he will wake up soon, but as long as he keeps breathing, he should keep healing." Rafiki said.
Nala rubs her head on Simba's head, Simba keeps breathing in and out. "Don't die on me my king." Nala said
"I believe my father will never give up that easily, he will get back up." Kiara said
Kovu walks in, "Kiara, can I talk to you?" he asked
"Sure Kovu, mother, Rafiki, I'll be back." Kiara said
Kiara and Kovu walks out of the cave, "What's going on Kovu?" Kiara asked
"It's the hunting group, Nala was a part of it but now that she won't leave Simba's side, there is no leader for the hunting pride." Kovu said
"Um, hold on, I'll talk to my mother, "Kiara runs into the cave
"Mother, we have a problem, the hunting pride will not hunt without you." Kiara said
"Nala, you need to lead the pride." Rafiki said
"No, I am not leaving Simba, Kiara, I need you to lead the pride." Nala said
"But, I don't know how to lead the pride, and I only went hunting a few times." Kiara cried.
"Kiara, just trust your instincts and bring Kovu, even though he is a king, he has helped you with hunting in the past." Nala said
"Alright, mother, I will bring him with me." Kiara said
Kiara walks out of the cave, "Kovu, I got to lead the hunting pride, and I need your help." Kiara said
"Okay, Kiara, I will help," Kovu said
Kiara and Kovu walks to the hunting pride, "Kiara, where is your mother?" one of the lionesses asked
"My mother won't leave my fathers said." Kiara said
"She won't leave his side, I will make her." a lioness starts walking up to pride rock.
"No, wait, I am leading the hun." Kiara said before getting interrupted
"We won't hunt without her." the lioness said
Kovu steps up, "Stop right there." he ordered
the lioness stopped, "Nala won't leave Simba's side, so Kiara will lead the hunt today, and I am going to help her, if anyone doesn't like it, you can leave to group." Kovu said
The lionesses accepted Kiara as their leader, and none of them left the group, "Okay king Kovu, we will hunt with her." one of the lioness said
"Good, lets start" Kovu ordered.
"Alright, where should we hunt?" Kiara asked
"Well the zebra population is stable so we should leave them alone, but the antelopes is getting a little over populated so we should crunch their number a little." one of the lionesses said
"Alright, we will hunt the antelopes today." Kiara said
The hunting pride goes over to the antelopes, the lionesses plus Kovu gets into their positions, at this point, everyone is waiting for Kiara to make her first move, Kiara scans around the antelopes, Kiara makes the first move and start chasing the antelopes, Kovu and the others follow, The antelopes starts running away, Kiara scans around and sees the slowest target and starts running towards it. "get this one, he is slower then the others." Kiara ordered.
The lionesses starts surrounding the slowest antelope and they catch it, Kovu bites it's neck completing it's circle of life, Kiara and Kovu start bringing back the Antelope to pride rock. They reach Pride rock, Kiara takes a part of the Antelope and brings it into the cave to Nala, "Mother, here some for you." Kiara said
"Thanks Kiara, and good job hunting." Nala said
Kiara goes back to the Antelope and starts eating, after a few minutes, the lions are full and can't eat anymore, Janja, Jasiri, the rest is yours" Kiara said.
Janja, Jasiri and the rest of the hyena's runs of and valiantly starts eating the rest,
Back to the outlands
All the outlanders line up getting ready for battle, Nemesis gets in front taking charge, "Macuu's watering hole is next, we won't stop until it is taken over" Nemesis said
"No you won't" A random voice is heard by Nemesis."
"Who said that, where are you?" Nemesis asked
Nemesis looks around for the voice, Shupavu pops out of a rock, "Nemesis, there is a lion by this rock" she said
Nemesis slowly walks over to the rock, "Come out, show your self." Nemesis ordered
A male lion jumps out knocking Nemesis back, Nemesis gets back up, "Who are you?" He asked
"I am not telling who I am because if you knew, you would kill me." Nemesis said
"If you won't tell me who you are, then you're gonna die anyway." Nemesis said
The strange lion starts attacking Nemesis, he fights back, Nemesis was able to take the lion down, he backs up, turns around and runs away, Fyre starts chasing him "Fyre, leave him be, he's no match against us" Nemesis ordered.
Fyre stops chasing the strange lion, "Alright, back to the mission everyone." Nemesis ordered
The outlanders leave the outlands and enter the Pridelands, "Kiburi, you know where Macuu's watering hole is, you lead the charge." Nemesis ordered
Kiburi leads the charge to the watering hole, "Follow me, the watering hole is this way." Kiburi said
Mzingo and his vultures circle around, "Oh dare, I say we should go the the lion guard and tell them about this attack, everyone agrees." Mzingo said.
All the vultures agreed with Mzingo and start flying to pride rock.
Vitani is in the lion guard lair looking at the paintings, first looks at Askari, then starts looking at Kion, as she looks the the painting of him, her heart start to beat faster, "Kion" Vitani smiles then suddenly looks away from the paintings, "No, he is a king at the Tree of Life with Rani, he won't take me." Vitani looks at the paintings again, "But, our future together would be nice, if only I asked him before he left." Vitani puts her paw on the painting, "I love" Vitani stops her self, "I can't do this, he loves someone else." Vitani said to her self,
Vitani around then sees Tazama laying down, "Tazama, what are you doing, you suppose to be looking around for danger." Vitani said
"Uh, I am taking the day off, the vultures are taking control of that." Tazama said
"They are here to help us with these attacks, not the look for danger." Vitani said
Mzingo and the Vultures fly into the lair, "Vitani, Nemesis is back, we don't know what he is doing but Kiburi is leading the charge, Mzingo said
"Alright, maybe my sight would have been useful." Tazama said getting up
"Come on, we got to get rest of the lion guard." Vitani ordered
Back to Nemesis
Nemesis and the group is near by Macuu's watering hole, "Alright, Kiburi, you and your crocodiles go on, we will stay back here and then later surprise him from behind." Nemesis ordered, Kiburi and his crocodiles walk over walk over to the water hole while Nemesis and the others hide behind a hill, "Macuu." Kiburi yelled
Macuu turns around to see Kiburi "Kiburi, no more mashindano for you, you cheated twice now." he said
"I am not here for a mashindano, I am here to take over your water hole." Kiburi said.
"Bring it on Kiburi, I can take you." Macuu said in confidence
"If you're sure about that Macuu, crocodiles attack." Kiburi's float starts charging.
Macuu's float also charges in, Macuu was able to quickly take down Kiburi, "Leave Kiburi, you don't belong here." Macuu said,
Nemesis is getting to pounce of, Kiburi gets back up, "If you're sure about that Macuu" he said
"Alright, have it your way." Macuu said
Before Macuu could attack Kiburi, Nemesis lands on his Macuu's back, slowing down, "Ah, little help here." Macuu ordered.
Fyre and the others lions attack, "enough Macuu, give up the watering hole." Nemesis ordered
"You, I remember you, Kiburi helped you sneak onto pride rock." Macuu said
'Yes he did, and Simba is down." Nemesis said
"What, how, there is no way." Macuu said
rocks starts falling down from Reirei's puppies, "Good job kiddies, keep them coming." Reirei said.
Macuu doges the falling rocks, little did he know, it was just a distracting for Nemesis to pounce on Macuu, "Kiburi, you know what to do." he ordered
"Perfect, I have been waiting for this day ever since Simba banished me." Kiburi said
Kiburi walks up to Macuu, "Kiburi, what you are about to do, don't." Macuu ordered
"Don't listen to him Kiburi, just do it." Nemesis ordered
"Listen Kiburi, we shouldn't fight, we are one, and I got to say, you are a good fighter when you were in my float, I ask you to step down and rejoin my float if you decide to respect the circle of life." Macuu explained
Kiburi thought about it for a few seconds, then he made his decision, "I won't join your float Macuu, you may be stronger then me, but you are a weak leader, and when I am done with you, then I will become leader of the crocodiles." Kiburi said
"You're right Kiburi, I am a weak leader, and that's why I humbling ask you to join my side, so that we can learn for each other" Macuu said
After those words, Nemesis keeps Macuu's mouth closed so that he won't talk again, "Stop talking you, Kiburi, do it now." Nemesis ordered
"Macuu, I already know everything, in fact, more then you, so I won't." Kiburi said
Macuu face gets to a worried look, he can't say anything else to delay what looks like his inevitable, Kiburi covers Macuu's nose blocking the air way, but shortly after, Vitani and the lion guard joins the battle, "Imara, get Nemesis." Vitani ordered
Imara knocks Nemesis off of Macuu freeing him
"Ah, you girls again, Kiburi, Reirei, keep attacking Macuu and his float, me and the lions will take care the lion guard." Nemesis ordered.
Kiburi and Reirei deal with Macuu while Nemesis runs to deal with the lion guard, Nemesis pins Vitani, he looks over to see if Imara is around, she is pinned down by Fyre, despite his injuries, he is doing pretty well. Nemesis look back at Vitani, "Go ahead Vitani, use the roar at me, I dare you." Nemesis said
Nemesis covers Vitani's mouth preventing her from opening it to roar, Tazama looks around at the situation, she tries to think of a solution " Imara, taken down by Fyre, Tazama, taken down by tow lions, Kasi, up on a tree with another lion below her, and Vitani, taken down by Nemesis." Tazama is not strong enough to fight any of these lions but she sees something in the air, she zooms in, she sees Mzingo and his Vulture flying down, "Mzingo, we need your help, we are all taken down." Tazama yelled,
"Should we fly down and help Vitani with the battle?" Mzingo asked "I" all then other Vultures said.
The Vultures fly down to Nemesis knocking him off balance, that didn't do much but it was enough for Vitani to regain control, she pushed Nemesis off of her, Nemesis gets angry and tries to swap at one of the Vultures, he fails of course, Vitani looks around, Nemesis is distracted then she looks at Fyre pinning down Imara, Vitani charges at Fyre knocking him off of Imara, "You're okay?" Vitani asked
"I'm fine, but that lion is possibly stronger then me, but I can take him, go help the others." Imara said
Imara jumps at Fyre, this time she has the advantage at this, Vitani helps the Shabaha and Kasi. Nemesis continues to strike at the Vultures, "Come on, stop vultures, you're were part of the Outlands, you should be with us." Nemesis said
"Mzingo looks around, Nemesis' group is having a hard time to keep up the fight, but it wasn't enough, mean while, Kiburi and Reirei attacks Macuu's crocodiles, Macuu and his float are losing the battle, Mzingo thought of a plan, "We need more back up, you guys keep attacking Nemesis, I'll go get back up." Mzingo ordered.
To pride rock
Kiara and Kovu is inside the cave near by Simba who was still unconscious, Janja walks up, "So this is what Nemesis did?" Janja asked
"It was not him although he helped so I guess we can blame him this." Kiara said
"This makes me a little jealous." Janja said
"How does this make you jealous Janja?" Kovu asked
"When I was loyal to Scar, I was always ordered by him to take Simba down, but then when Scar truly wanted him gone, he has sent a scorpion to sting him."
"A scorpion stinging Simba, did it secede?" Kovu asked
"He did but Kion and his friends were able to get the cure in time, and brought it back to." Janja stopped because he felt like he is being spied on, he sees lizards running away, "we are being spied on." Janja said
"Spied, who would spy on us?" Kovu asked
"These are lizards and they are good at sneaking around, when Jasiri took over the Outlands, we lost track of them, and at the same time, Zira and her lionesses came back." Janja explained
"Wait, you said a lizard, what it's name?" Kovu asked
"Shupavu, I think, and I think she serves Nemesis" Janja explained
Kovu gets a flashback of his mother,

Kovu is just sitting down with nothing to do, he sees his mother by the edge of the termite mound, when she left the area to walk up to Kovu, he sees a red lizard walking away, that was the same lizard the Janja saw walking away
Back to the present
"Wait, what color was this lizard?" Kovu asked,
"The lizard I saw running away was red." Janja said
"I think that's the same lizard that told my mother something." Kovu said
"I guess that lizard told her about Kion and his friends have gone." Janja said
Jasiri walks with Cheezi and Chungu, Cheezi is trying to hold in his laugh but can't, "Janja, here comes your girlfriend." Cheezi said
"Fur brains." Janja glared at Cheezi and Chungu
"What Janja, you know it's true." Cheezi said
"Yeah, it's so true, even I see it." Chungu said
"Alright you two, that's enough teasing." Jasiri walks up to Janja, "How's Simba doing?" sge asked
"Still laying there, but he is strong, I believe Simba can wake up." Janja said
Chungu looks behind him, "Um, I see a large bird coming." he said
"A large bird, is it a dragon?" Cheezi asked
"Um, I don't think dragons exist" Chungu said
"Oh, what if it's a large bird that can eat you in one bite." Cheezi said
"Um, I don't know about that." Chungu said
Jasiri takes a look, "Cheezi, Chungu, it's just Mzingo, but he by him self." Jasiri said
Mzingo flies into the liar, Jasiri walks up to him, "Mzingo, what's going on?"
"It's Nemesis, him and his lions are taking over Macuu's watering hole."
Kovu perks up and runs to Jasiri and Mzingo, "An attack, I will help."
"Alright, I'll guide you there." Mzingo said
Jasiri and Kovu follows Mzingo, "Fur brains, come on, we need to help too." Janja ordered
"Alright Janja, I'll help you, come on Chungu." Cheezi and Chungu run past Janja who hasn't even started running yet.
"Kiara, Nala, You're coming too?" Janja asked
"No, we'll stay here to protect Simba." Kiara said
Janja runs out of the cave to follow the rest, when the group reaches Macuu's water hole, Vitani and her lion guard is taking on Nemesis' group pretty well but Macuu is struggling, "Come on, let's help Macuu, he can't last much longer." Jasiri ordered.
Cheezi looks at Nemesis, "Oh look who it is." he said
"Who, oh him, I think that's the lion with the funny name." Chungu said
Cheezi and Chungu runs up to Nemesis still fighting the Vultures, "Hey, Nemesis." Cheezi said
Nemesis looks back then gives them an evil look, "Hyenas." he said
"Oh, I think he's talking about us." Chungu said
"Hey Nemesis, your name is weird." Cheezi said
"Did your daddy name you that" Chungu said
"How dumb are you two?" Nemesis asked
"I don't think we are dumb, just slower then others" Chungu said
"Yeah, in fact, you're dumb" Cheezi said
"Yeah, sure, a dumb one would not just stand around." Nemesis said as he launches at Cheezi and Chungu.
Cheezi and Chungu doges the attack, "Oh, look who's dumb now." Chungu said
"Oh, here's a funny, instead of hitting us, he instead hits a rock."
Nemesis turns around.
"Yeah, he hits a rock, you realize a rock is not your enemy right." Chungu said
Nemesis shakes his head fast, "Yeah, I know that you two." Nemesis said
"Ha ha ha, Nemesis, you're name, funny." Cheezi rolls on the ground laughing
"Oh, yeah, and Fyre, that's even funnier." Chungu said
"Are you two done." Nemesis said
"Nope, Nemesis can't get me, he's too slow." Cheezi said
"Oh that's it." Nemesis gets angry after that and launched at Cheezi but he doges.
"Considering how dumb you are, you're good at dodging." Nemesis said
"Well duh, we fought Kion all the time." Cheezi said
"Yeah, in fact, we are distracting you." Chungu said
"Chungu, you're not suppose to say that." Cheezi said
Nemesis looks around to see that his group is losing, Macuu has regained control, Fyre and the other lions are taken down by Vitani, "What, how, no way." he said
Kovu walks up to Nemesis, "Get out Nemesis, you don't belong here." he ordered
"Kovu, son of Zira, you realize that your mother is evil right?" Nemesis said
"We've gave her a chance, and she blew it." Kovu said
Nemesis looks at Kovu, even though his face looks angry, a tear runs out of his eye, "Oh, and your father, you don't have one do you, or, he left you to die out here alone." Nemesis said
"NO HE DIDN'T, I DON'T HAVE A FATHER." Kovu shouted
"Everyone has a father Kovu, even me." Nemesis said
"Stop it." Kovu ordered
"Oh, what if your father was killed by me." Nemesis said
Kovu started to lose his anger, "Stop it." Kovu charges at Nemesis to strike him, but Nemesis strike Kovu first, he was struck to the ground, "Oh and I forgot to tell you, without a father, you're weak." Nemesis gets in Kovu's face, "which means I could kill you here and NOW." Nemesis said
Kovu covers his face to protect himself, suddenly Vitani shows up, "LEAVE MY BROTHER ALONE." she yelled.
"Oh Vitani, you're a lioness which mean you're weaker then him." Nemesis said
"try me." Vitani roars at Nemesis knocking him back, "If you ever hurt my brother ever again, I will, I don't know yet but it won't be good." she said furiously.
"Alright, you win Vitani, everyone, lets move out." Nemesis ordered
All the outlanders runs with Nemesis with Nemesis, Jasiri walks up, "Looks like we've won." she said
"Not exactly, Nemesis got to my brother." Vitani said
"What, did he strike at him?" Jasiri asked
"I don't think it's just that, I saw Kovu charging at Nemesis in anger." Vitani said
"Lets go see what's wrong." Jasiri said
"No, you go check to make sure Nemesis gets out of the pride lands, I'll go comfort him" Vitani ordered
"Alright Vitani, I will go with the rest of the guard." Jasiri said running with the lion guard.
Vitani goes to Kovu, he's trying to be as tough as he can, "You're okay Kovu."
"I don't know Vitani." Kovu sheds a tear.
"What did he say to you Kovu?" Vitani asked
"He said things about my, our father."
"Our father, he doesn't even know about him, we don't even know about him." Vitani said
"He was saying that our father left me out there alone to die and that he also killed him." Kovu explained.
Vitani continues to listen.
"I wished I had a father, I wished I had someone to gain my strength with." Kovu explained
"Maybe when Simba gets better, he could be a father figure to you, he has raised two cubs so he is experienced." Vitani said
"An experienced father being a father figure to me, then would that make Nala a mother to me too." Kovu said
"Maybe, she would be a better mother to us then you know, our mother." Vitani said
"Yeah, she would be, no questions asked." Kovu said then a smile appears in his face.
Vitani giggles a little, "Simba and Nala being our father and mother, how about that." she said
"Maybe, how about just Simba being a father figure." Kovu said
"Okay brother.
shortly after, Jasiri runs back to Vitani, "Jasiri did they run out of the pridelands?" she asked
"They did, but Nemesis turned around and just smiled at me before he left, it was so creepy." Jasiri said
"He might have something planned for you or Janja, I suggest to stay away from the outlands." Vitani said
"Or he might have something planned for my pups." Jasiri said
"Does he know about them?" Vitani asked
"He does, if it wasn't for Janja, we would have been doomed." Jasiri said
"Well they are safe in the lion guard liar." Vitani said
Janja walks up, "I don't think so, Nemesis has spies, they may have already found them." Janja said
"Spies, who are these spies?" Vitani asked
"Shupavu, I think, she and her skinks are pretty good at sneaking around and spying, they could be right next to us and we may not even notice it." Janja said
"If they have spies, then we should have spies too." Vitani said
"I could send the Vultures to the outlands and eavesdrop on Nemesis making his plans on attacks." Jasiri said
"yeah, but if they see the vultures, then they could stop talking and just move somewhere safe."
"Yeah, they are eyes in the sky but not ears." Jasiri said
"I have an idea, the vultures should stay in the sky, then they will update us to where they are going." Vitani said
"That might actually work, but isn't that Tazama's job?" Jasiri asked
"Yes but she can't fly, she is good at telling us where to go and has great night vision." Vitani said
"night vision you say, I don't think the vultures have that." Jasiri said
Kovu started walking "Alright, we should probably go back to pride rock, everyone is likely to be worried for us." Kovu said.
"Alright, lets go back to pride rock." Vitani ordered
Back at pride rock.
Jasiri and the rest have returned to pride rock, Nala and Kiara still beside Simba's side, Kiara looks at the entrance, "Kovu you're back." she runs to him.
"Yeah, I am, and I will never leave." Kovu said
"I know you won't Kovu." Kiara said
Simba suddenly start coughing, Nala imeditliy gets up, "Simba?"
"Nala, what's going on." Simba said in a weak tone.
"You were knocked out Simba, Kiara, get Rafiki." Nala said
"Yes mother, I'll go get him." Kiara said
"Is the Pridelands okay?" Simba asked in a weak tone."
"Yes it is Simba, Vitani did a good job keeping it safe." Nala said
Simba tries to get up but he was too weak to get up, Kovu sees this and runs up to him, "No, father, stay down." he said
Simba looks at Kovu and smiles, "What did you call me Kovu?" Simba asked in a weak tone.
"Um, nothing Simba." Kovu said
Nala knew what Kovu said but she kept her mouth shut as she didn't want to embarrass him.
Rafiki walks into the cave, "Simba, you woke up." he said
"Hey Rafiki." Simba smiles at him.
Rafiki comes up to Simba, looks at his head. "You're getting better Simba, but you need time to rest."
"Okay Rafiki, I'll rest" Simba said weakly
"Does this mean I am no longer king?" Kovu asked
Simba lookms at at Kovu, "No, I am still too weak to get up, but I'll take it back once I get my strength back." Simba said
"Alright Simba, I will do your job well." Kovu said
"Kovu, can I talk to you, out side of the cave?" Nala asked
"Um, yeah sure Nala." Nala said
Both Kovu and Nala walks out of the cave, "What you wanted to talk about?" Kovu asked
"I heard what you said to Simba." Nala said
"You did, I didn't mean to say it, it just." Kovu said before Nala put her paw on Kovu's mouth
"I understand Kovu, I lost my father long ago too." Nala said
"You did, when?" Kovu asked
"When I was just a cub, he passed away from a disease, although he was a good father."
"At least you knew your father, my father was never there for me." Kovu said
"Yes I knew him, but shortly after he passed away, I looked up to Mufasa as my father." Nala said
"Really, Mufasa was a father figure to you." Kovu said
"Yes he was Kovu, although not for long, he also passed away and this time, by his brother Scar." Nala said
"Well I know Scar isn't my father, that wouldn't be nice." Kovu said
"Yeah it wouldn't, I remember your brother Nuka but I've never knew about you until Kiara wondered around, and you look younger then her." Nala said.
"Yeah, Kiara was fun to play with when I first saw her." Kovu said
"Okay, that's enough talking, lets go back into our cave." Nala said walking in the cave
"I'll right there Nala, I just to take a look at the lands." Kovu said
The sun is setting in the Pridelands, Kovu watches the sun set and watches the sun disappear off of pride rock. Kovu walks back into the cave to turn in.
In the Outlands
Nemesis is putting his ear near Shupavu, she whispers in his ear, "Alright, I'll tell them." Nemesis jumps on the rock, "Attention outlanders, I just got word that Simba just woke up, which means we are running short on time." Nemesis said
"What about the watering hole, we failed tat taking that." Kiburi said
"Yes, but I've also got word that there is a scorpion some where here in the outlands, I want one of you to find it."
Goigoi started to shake, "What, a scorpion, where, Reirei protect me." Goigoi said
Reirei kicks Goigoi "Nemesis, that scorpion, Rafiki has already found a cure for his venom." Reirei said.
"Then our next attack should be Rafiki." Nemesis said
Goigoi thought about Rafiki, "Wait, that mandrill, no way, he is way too good, I'm not fighting him." he said
Nemesis raises his eye at Goigoi then looks at Reirei, "Well Reirei." he said
"No, he's actally right, Rafiki is a good fighter." Reirei said
"Well before then you didn't have me, and now you do, and Kiburi, I'll like to talk to you alone." Nemesis said
Kiburi gulps as he heard that, then walks with him. "Oh, I think he is in trouble." Goigoi said
"Maybe Goigoi, it did take him a long time to even try to kill Macuu." Reirei said
"Oh, did he fail to kill him?" Goigoi asked
"Of course he failed, he took too long." Reirei said
Nemesis walks in a den alone with Kiburi, "Kiburi, what was that about?" Nemesis asked
"What boss, what was what about?" Kiburi asked
"You and Macuu, it took you too long, what was that about, it like you hesitated to join his float." Nemesis said
Kiburi sighs, "Macuu use to be a good friend in the past, when another crocodile was leader, he was too strong until he became old, then Macuu became leader, we always stood side by side ruining the circle of life, but then he decided the he didn't want to do it anymore, he wanted to respect the circle of life, and that's when I decided to try and take his place, but he was too strong, Simba banished me, and that's when I joined Scar" Kiburi explained
"Alright, now I knew why you were hesitant to join his float, and he's right about one thing, you are a good fighter." Nemesis said
Nemesis and Kiburi walks out of the small den
Back to Ajax
It's been a few days, Ajax has attacked the Tree of Life again and again but keeps failing. "those protectors are too strong, I don't think we can take it over." Rawr said
"We will keep trying Rawr, and we won't stop until it is taken over." Ajax said
Florian suddenly comes back up, "Florian, how was the search?" Ajax asked
"I've found someone who can help." Florian said
A leopard comes up from behind Florian, "Florian, you realize I don't trust leopards right?" Ajax asked
"Well this one you can trust, and believe me, he wants the same thing you want," Florian said
"Okay leopard, who are you, and what do you want?" Ajax asked
"I Makucha and I want revenge on Kion and his friends and take over the Tree of Life." he said
"Well it still won't be enough, the protectors is pretty big.
A random voice came from up a tree, "Oh I know, and that's why I brought everyone here to help you."
"Who are you?" Ajax asked
"Up here, you can call me mama binturong, and I want revenge on that honey badger Bunga." she said
A snow leopard, three Komodo dragons, and two leopards come from behind a bush. Ajax takes a look at them "Alright now that's more like it." he said

Ajax has found another orb inside the Tree of Life (Orb of healing first appeared on chapter four) and now Kion must defend it to make sure that is doesn't get stolen, not much eles happened in the Tree of Life besides Azaad getting hurt again, but quickly healing. Ono and Ullu fully healed and now able to fly. In the Pridelands, Nemesis made another attack on the Pridelands, he tried to take over Macuu's watering hole but he failed his attack, Simba is waking up but not strong enough to stand, Nemesis is planning to find a scorpion and attack Rafiki so he doesn't find a cure for the venom, Makucha has teamed up with Ajax to help take over the Tree of Life.

And this is what it looks like at night, course you can see the stars and a faint cloud cover can also be seen, those are not clouds, they are actually ash from the wild fires in California. rain is not going to come in for a while, it's becoming that time of the year where precipitation is less likely and won't be until late December or early January, so this will be here to stay although I live in Kansas, it could be clear one minute and the next minute, it's raining so rain could come unscheduled,
