"Why are you eating a breadstick?" Shinobu questioned you weirdly, coming up to you with Mitsuri at her side.
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"Why did you call us here?" Shinobu questioned again, narrowing her eyes at you.
"Am I not allowed to hangout with my Council wifeys? You both hurt me."
Mitsuri squealed, "I told you she was treating us!"
Shinobu sighed in relief and smiled brightly, fully ready to relax and spend some time with the both of you (though she kind of wished the pink and green haired girl wasn't there). Mitsuri quickly took hold of your free hand (the one not carrying the breadstick) and began to drag you around the mall to start shopping with Shinobu following from behind.
Shinobu cleared her throat, and rasped, "Hurry up and finish eating your breadstick."
"Why?"
"I want to hold your other hand."

The three of you were content walking down the line of shops at the mall, both your hands busy holding theirs. Both girls happily interlaced their fingers with yours.
"(Y/N)!"
You all turned your heads to see two delinquents, more specifically Daki and her brother Gyuutarou walking out of a store near to where you were. Daki held a bright grin on her face at the sight of you, and Gyuutarou had on a small smile. The female delinquent waved like a dork and dragged her brother over to your.
"Hey Daki, Gyuutarou!" you greeted.
Immediately, both Shinobu and Mitsuri tensed up when they recognized the two—their grips on your hands tightened. Daki and Gyuutarou saw the two other Student Council members by you, and when they saw your hands interlaced, they tensed as well.
"Oh, are these your wifeys #2 and 3?" Daki questioned tauntingly when she saw the two other girls at your side.
"Yeah!" you confirmed, trying your best to ignore the tension between the four.
"Oh, cool!" Daki grinned again, this time more confident. "Hello, I'm wifey #1," she smirked smugly. With the way she enunciated "#1," her intentions to brag were more than clear.
The two girls at your side fumed and glared at her.
Unbeknownst to you, it seemed the entire hubby/wifey ranking system was actually a heated competition between everyone in it. It was weird how they wanted to get a higher ranking spot.
"Delinquents," Shinobu scoffed at the siblings.
"Well that's a harsh word to call us," Gyuutarou frowned at her. "At least (Y/N) puts quotation marks around it when she texts us."
You chuckled at his words and lightly tugged at Shinobu's hand, reassuring, "Don't worry, Shinobu." She looked at you, and her expression immediately softened. "They aren't that bad," you remarked.
"One of them got my sister expelled!" she voiced to you, a glare resurfacing on her face.
"That was her fault for hydro flasking Douma on school grounds," Gyuutarou argued nonchalantly. Daki let out a hum in agreement.
"You both act like you haven't done worse," Mitsuri frowned at them. Her grip on your hand tightened protectively, as well. "One of you guys hit me with a guitar!"
Oh shit, that was Nakime—
"Off campus," Daki added with a matter-of-factly tone.
"I still got hit!"
You let go of both of their hands.

"That's the delinquent that got my sister expelled!" Shinobu gasped accusingly, pointing a finger at Douma, who had just arrived at the scene.
"Shinobu, darling," you coaxed her. "She threw a hydro flask at him."
"For a good cause!"
"Sorry to interrupt your quarrel, friends!" Douma happily interjected, ignoring Shinobu's obvious hatred towards him. He harshly took hold of both Daki and Gyuutarou's arms, pulling them back. "I have to take these two back now per Y/N's request, so we'll be taking our leave!" he continued with a smile.
Daki and Gyuutarou didn't even attempt to struggle—they weren't even planning on fighting the two Council girls in the first place (it was mainly Shinobu and Mitsuri picking a fight). The only reason they went up to the group was to see you, after all.
Both Shinobu and Mitsuri were about to angrily approach them again, until you caught both of their hands and interlaced them with yours once again.
"Let's calm down," you advised the two with a nervous smile.
Mitsuri sighed in compliance and grabbed on to your hand with both of hers. Shinobu stayed put as well, but she still glared angrily at the three delinquents in front of her. You, happy that the two finally settled down, sighed in relief.
"Thanks, Douma," she voice out to the man.
"No problem!" he cheerily replied. "I'd do anything for you, wifey! I'm hubby #2, after all."
You weren't sure if he said this to mock Shinobu and Mitsuri, but if he did, then fuck, it worked. Shinobu's hand clenched yours tighter (blood circulation? nonexistent 🗿) at the notion of the delinquent being your hubby #2, and she looked like she was about to snap again.
"Um," you stuttered loudly. "We'll be going, now!" you announced, quickly yanking on the hands of both your Council friends away from the delinquents.
"Bye, wifey!" Daki called out to you as she also got dragged away by Douma. Gyuutarou threw you a peace sign with his free hand.
The rest of the night remained mostly uneventful, with Shinobu and Mitsuri's hold on your hands feeling a lot more protective than before.
