Chapter 13
Roof Top
Jax immediately held my face. "Cali, breathe."
He started to inhale and exhale, so I followed him while tears are still flowing down my face. Paulit-ulit namin iyon ginawa ni Jax.
"Kukuha lang ako ng tubig," Chance said.
Nang medyo humupa na ang paninikip ng dibdib ay nagsalita na ako. Tears are still pooling my eyes.
"I-I got scared. I feel like... Like someone is following me. Like someone will take me again."
Kitang-kita ko ang pag-aalala sa mukha ni Jax. Hindi nawala ang kanyang mga kamay sa magkabilang pisngi ko.
"Nandito ako. Hindi ko hahayaan 'yun," he assured me.
Hindi ko rin maintindihan kung bakit ako sobrang natakot and it resulted to a panic attack. I shouldn't be scared, I'm inside the campus. Before the culprints can trespass the academy, they need to endure tons of security guards just in front of the gate. Iba pa ang mga bantay sa loob. Hindi rin bubuksan ang gate kapag walang student identification card and iba pang requirements. Imposible talagang may makapasok na hindi tiga rito.
And the two kidnappers were already in jail. The police tracked them down right away using the account were Jax transferred the money. The only problem now is that the mastermind and all the other people involve in that organization are still out there.
I think I need another session with my psychiatrist. Hindi pwede iyong ganito na lagi akong natatakot. I feel like I should take self-defense class too. Sa huling update ni Kuya Kairon sa amin, meron silang ganoong class sa Garnet Academy. Aside sa mixed martial arts, tinuturuan din sila ng target shooting at bow & arrow.
Sayang at wala kaming mga ganoong klaseng classes. Sapphire Academy focus highly on academics. While Zircon Academy, where Ate Ariyah is studying, is more like a business school.
I even heard about the big academy in the south that specialize classes like what Garnet have. Trainings were heavy along with academics. Mga kilalang pangalan lang din ang mga nakakapasok. Kuya were about to consider it, but when our parents found out how far the academy is, hindi sila pumayag.
"Do you want me to take you to the infirmary?
Agad akong umiling kay Jax. I already feel better now.
"Tagal ni Chance. Sa balon ata kumuha ng tubig!" reklamo pa niya.
Pinalis ko naman ang mga natitirang luha sa mata. Ngayon ay talagang kalmado na ako. This is his magic... Jax. He just feels safe.
He got his tumbler and handed it to me. "Inumin mo na 'to... Nainuman ko na pero kaunti lang naman. Nag-totoothbrush ako three times a day, promise!"
Inabot ko na iyon at ininuman. Habang umiinom ay naiiyak ulit ako. How could I accuse him of cheating? I felt so bad right then and there.
Naubos ko ang tubig at inabot na ang tumbler kay Jax.
"I'm really sorry..." I said while tears started to fall down my face again.
"Hala..." aniya at nag-panic. Agad niyang pinunasan iyong luha sa mata ko gamit ang mga daliri niya. "Okay lang kahit maubos mo 'tong tubig, Cali! 'Wag kang umiyak!"
Marahas akong umiling. "I'm sorry... I was wrong! Hindi ko dapat 'yun sinabi sa 'yo! Judgement got the best of me. Hindi ako nag-isip ng maigi. Alam ko naman na magaling ka talaga... I should never discredit you. You are good, Jax. I'm sorry."
Ngumiti siya. "Talaga? Good ako?"
I softly punched his arm. "Very..."
We both laughed when we heard the bell. Ibig sabihin, times up na ang laro.
"Shall we go back to the gym?" I asked Jax.
Awarding na kasi ang kasunod nito. There's a winner team for each game and whoever team got the most wins will be the champion team for the Freshmen Field Day.
Umiling si Jax. "Let's just talk."
Nagulat ako nang hinawakan niya iyong isang kamay ko para mahila.
"S-Saan tayo pupunta?"
"Basta," aniya habang hila-hila pa rin ako.
Nagpatiyanod lang ako sa kanya hanggang sa makarating kami sa Padparadscha Building.
"Where are we talking?" I asked.
Akala ko ba mag-uusap kami? Then why are we going back to our rooms? Don't tell me we'll talk in his room? Or my room?
Natigil ang pag-iisip nang sa pinakamataas na floor niya pinindot iyong elevator. Roof top na iyon ng building and I don't even know if we are allowed to go there or if we even have an access!
"Can we go there? Baka bawal, Jax..."
A smile pursed his lips. "Master Sergeant things."
I put a hand in my head, a gesture like I'm saluting him.
"At nalimutan mo atang anak ako ng may-ari, Caldereta?"
Natawa ako roon at mahina siyang tinulak. "Yabang!"
I like this Jaxith. I like any of these Jaxiths... Cornflower Blue o Royal Blue man.
And what's with him calling me Caldereta? Should I call him Menudo or something?
When we've reached the top floor, I'm nothing but awed. It's so beautiful up here. Madilim na rin kaya kitang-kita na ang langit at mga bituin. The Pad or the Padparadscha Building is the tallest building we have here in Sapphire Academy. It's the most grand too. Kami lang ng mga tiga Star Sapphire Class ang may rooms sa building na ito. Other classes stay in the Kashmir Building, it's big and grand too, but not like the Pad.
Nanatiling nakauwang ang bibig ko dahil ang ganda rito sa taas. You can see the whole campus up here. The railings are made of glass. There are big square couches and round tables like those in condo units.
Naupo kaming dalawa ni Jax doon sa isa sa mga couches.
"I think I need to explain..."
Agad akong napatingin kay Jax. He sounded really serious.
"You're right, I'm a Royal Blue. I just don't want it because I want to stay lowkey. I'm a Pereira, but my Mom and Dad was seperated already. I'm not the only heir of the airlines, thus I don't want to be one."
My heart swelled upon hearing that his parents were separated. I didn't know...
"I'm not ashamed to be an Yrreverre too. I'm not hiding it, I just don't want to broadcast it. Ayoko kasing iniisip ng iba na may special treatment kasi wala naman talaga... Kung malaglag man ako sa ranking, they will strip off all my privileges too. Kagaya lang din ako ng ibang mga estudyante."
I hate myself for judging him. Lalo ko lang iyon na-realize nang maalala ko iyong sinabi ni Violet... Na malamang ay may kapit lang daw kaming mayayaman sa Star Sapphire Class kaya nandoon kami. She discredited our skills because we're rich. She judged us too quickly and it's annoying. Ganoong ganoon din ang ginawa ko kay Jax.
"Iyong mga pagtitinda ko? Para sa allowance ko talaga 'yun..."
My eyes widened upon hearing it.
"My Mom said that if I want a big allowance, I should change my ID lace... Pero kung gusto ko raw manatili bilang Cornflower, panindigan ko raw. Kaya rumaraket na lang ako."
"But you have money on your bank account, right?" I asked upon remembering the incident.
"Yeah... But it's not really my money, sa tatay ko naman 'yun. Ayokong gamitin kahit pa sa akin daw 'yun. Kaya naman iyong sa pang date natin, gusto ko pinaghirapan ko."
I suddenly remember him selling pens... for our date.
"Buti nga hindi binabawi ni Mommy 'yong kotse ko, eh! Hays!"
"So, inaamin mo na ngayon na sa 'yo talaga 'yong kotse?"
Hiram pala, ah! I already thought that it was absurd for someone to lent a car that expensive!
Natawa siya. "'Yong phone ko kasi, binawi."
Everyone of us in the Star Sapphire Class are using the latest iphone, while he's using an old iphone 7. Does that one still even works?
Naisip ko tuloy, kung regaluhan ko kaya siya ng phone sa birthday niya? Wait, when is his birthday even? My birthday is coming near actually! Kasabay ng finals!
"What are you doing this weekend?" Jax asked out of the blue.
Agad akong napaisip. I have a spa session this weekend and maybe I'll shop too.
"Just spa and maybe shopping... I heard about the new Prada bag collection."
"Cal, you're buying bags every single week," Jax said with a confused face.
"No naman!" giit ko.
"You do... Pinapanuod ko lagi 'yung mga my day at ig story mo."
My mouth formed a circle when he mentioned that he's always watching my stories. "Really?"
"Nadadaanan ko lang pala!" bawi niya.
Do I really buy bags every week? Hindi ko napapansin! I mean, if I see something that I like then I'll get it!
"I love to shop! It's my stress reliever!"
"Yataps! Kailangan ko palang rumaket lagi kung ganoon... Gastos mo, eh," Jax whispered.
"Huh?" I asked him because I didn't hear what he said!
"Wala! I said, you shop a lot," he answered while scratching his head.
"You sound like a Dad!"
Ganyan na ganyan ang Daddy! He says that I shop a lot, pero tuwing umuuwi naman siya ay may pasalubong lagi! I have like five apple watches because he keeps on forgetting that he already got me one!
Tumawa siya. "Uhuh... You will get palo!"
I crossed my arms and faced him angrily. "I'm not a bata-batuta!"
"You are!" aniya.
"I'm not! We're just one year apart!"
Why does people around me treats me like a kid? Parang si Kuya Kairon! Tanda ko pa noon tuwing kalaro ko siya kasama sina Kuya Shawn and Ate Ariyah, they call me a saling kitkit! I can play as a real player kaya! They are just a year older!
"You're still younger than me, Cali..."
Fine! I know that! Well, magka-edad si Jax at Kuya Kai! Kainis!
"Bakit? Gusto mo ba 'yung ka-edad mo?"
Hindi ko alam kung bakit iyon lumabas sa bibig ko. Nakakainis kasi! Why did he need to point out that I'm younger than him? Ano naman?
Naningkit ang mga mata niya sa akin. "What?"
"'Yung Paige... Ka-edad mo?"
My mouth suddenly got its own brains! Kung anu-ano na lang ang lumalabas sa bibig ko! I just hope that I didn't sound so obvious!
"Oo, ka-edad ko," sagot niya.
Napasinghap ako roon. Why does Kuya and I wasn't born as twins? Para magka-edad din sana kami ni Jax!
"So, do want a girl with the same age?"
I don't even know why I'm pushing this!
"Age doesn't matter, Cali."
"So, okay lang sa 'yo kahit mas bata?"
I am now convinced that my mouth have brains! It's talking and talking!
"Oo naman," aniya. "I can baby sit."
I was about to throw a fit but then I stopped when there's suddenly a loud sound.
We were surprised when the fireworks suddenly started. It means that the awarding is done and it's the night for celebration already.
Jax and I both looked up to see a silent spark explode into a thousand extraordinary particles of light. It's colorful. It's magical.
"Ang ganda ng fireworks... Pwede umakbay?" Jax asked.
Nanlaki ang mga mata ko roon. "F-Friendly akbay?"
"Yeah."
Tumango ako at nang maramdaman ang braso niya sa likuran at ang kamay niya naman sa aking balikat ay para bang sasabog ang puso ko. Ganito pala ang feeling pag inakbayan ka ni crush... Can this night be more magical? It's already perfect!
I'd be lying to myself if I say that I don't like him because I do.
Kuya Shawn once said that the more you avoid someone, the more feelings go deep. It's better to address it right away.
"What kind of girlfriend do you want?" I asked bravely.
Napatingin si Jax sa akin.
"You... 'Y-Yung mabait! Mabait!"
Napairap ako roon. I'm mabait naman, right?
"Ano pa?"
"Understanding... Matured..."
I can be understanding! I can be matured!
"Wala bang iba? Maganda, gusto mo? Mahilig mag-shopping?"
Napangiti siya roon pero agad ding inalis at seryosong tumikhim. "Hindi na kailangan pang tanungin 'yan."
"Ha?" I asked confused.
"Halaman!" Jax retorted.
Pareho kaming natahimik nang magsimula ulit ang panibagong batch ng fireworks.
We both watched it quietly with his arms wrapped around my shoulders. The night is dark and the only light is above the sky, sparkling as ever.
Ang sabi ni Jax, sabay na kami lagi sa pagpasok at pag-uwi. Para raw maiwasan na mag-isa lang ako sa paglalakad at hindi na magkaroon pa nang sunod na panic attack. Our classes are the same from morning till the end so there's no problem. Kung nagsasawa na raw ako sa mukha niya, magpasama raw ako kay Gelo, Xuri, o Cat. Babanggitin ko sana si Theo kaya lang sumibangot siya agad.

Nakahiga na ako nang mabasa ang message ni Jax sa facebook. Wait? Do I still have twitter? I was inactive for a year already!

Napataas ang kilay ko roon. Why did I even retweet that? My gosh!
Hindi na ako nag-reply pa. Sasabihin ko na lang tomorrow na nakatulog ako. That retweet is so embarassing! And what is Jax even saying?
As promised, Jax was already outside my door when I opened it.
"Good morning," he greeted. "Seener ka, te?"
Nadalok naman ako roon sa sinabi niya. "I-I fell asleep!"
I reasoned out immediately. I can't say how embarrassed I am! Dapat ko na talagang i-retrieve ang twitter ko!
"Awts, gege!" aniya at umarteng nasasaktan.
Magsasalita pa sana ako nang makita si Gelo na kalalabas lang din ng room niya.
"Cali! Jax!" he called. "Nawala na kayo sa awarding kagabi! Ang ganda ng fireworks!"
Oo nga, sa sobrang ganda napaakbay si Master Sergeant.
"I-I felt really bad after the last game," I told Gelo.
Inantay na rin namin sina Xuri at Cat.
"Wow! Inaantay n'yo 'ko?" si Theo iyon, kakalabas lang din ng room niya.
"Sa letrang a, asa!" si Jax iyon.
"Wala namang letter A sa binggo!" balik naman ni Theo.
"Sino ba ang nagsabing nag-bibinggo ako?!" si Jax naman.
Napailing na lang kami ni Gelo sa dalawa. Buti na lang at lumabas na rin si Xuri at Cat. Si Grant naman ay wala na. Malamang ay maaga iyon pumasok gaya nang laging ginagawa.
"Mga besh, kinain ko saging ng crush ko! Sagad!" sigaw ni Xuri.
"Xuriella!" agap ni Cat.
Halos malaglag ang panga ko sa mga salitang lumabas sa bibig ni Xuri. My gosh!
Nandito na kami ngayon sa Greenhouse at inaantay si Prof. Somero for our morning lessons.
"'Wag mo na ngang ipaalala 'yang banana game na 'yan! Kaumay! Kasuka!" reklamo pa rin ni Gelo.
Natawa naman kami sa kanya.
"Dapat ako na lang ang leader, eh! Gusto ko ring magsabi ng kasabihan!" si Theo roon sa likuran.
"Sige, ano kasabihan mo?" Pangungunsinti ni Jax sa kaibigan.
Theodore cleared his throat. "Ako si Theo at naniniwala sa kasabihang, kung kaya ng iba, ipagawa mo sa kanila!"
Jax clapped like a lunatic.
Napailing na lamang ako. Pag silang dalawa magkasama ni Jax, riot talaga!
After our exercises and discussions, Prof. Somero wanted us to talk and get to know each other once more. Prelim exams will start by next week. Gusto niyang magpahinga muna kami kahit papaano.
"Ask a question again for the group," Prof. Somero said.
"Love life! Share anything about your love life... Kung single, in a relationship, or it's complicated! Tapos kung single, dapat i-share rin kung bakit or kung may-ex ba!" Xuri started.
"I'm single and ready to jingle! Ay este, mingle!" Gelo shared. "Wala, hindi pa ako ready sa relationships... Ni hindi pa nga ako ready na umamin sa Tatay ko, eh!
"Single rin ako... Pero taken na ni crush!" si Xuri naman.
Xuri got a long list of crushes! Sino kaya sa mga 'yon? She also shared that she never had a boyfriend, just flings!
What is a fling anyway? Pwede kaya kami ni Jax na ganoon?
"I'm single... Had a one year relationship before but got cheated on with a cousin." Grant said.
"Awts! Sinasabi ko na nga ba, duda ako sa takoyaking 'yun!" si Jax.
"Chancer ng lipunan!" hirit naman ni Theo.
Nanatiling nakauwang ang bibig ko... Don't tell me it's Chance? Why would he do that? They're cousins for Christ's sake!
Out of all people, I never thought that Grant would share something. He isn't the talking type... But I'm happy that he can now share something like this.
"I'm single... Had a relationship in the past but we broke up due to family reasons," Cat said.
I never knew that! Cat never told us! Well, we haven't speak much about relationship anyways, but oh my gosh, I want to know every detail!
Cat is such a quiet person, to be honest. Hindi ka niya kakausapin kung hindi mo siya kinakausap. We have the same vibes, but she's a lot more snob! Kahit daldalin mo, kaunti lang din ang sasabihin niya... She'll speak if she's comfortable. She's very raw.
Xuri, on the other hand, is a loud person. Walang preno ang bibig. She's vulgar, but that's just the way she is. She's liberated, yes. And she's such a confident woman, I love that about her.
"Single, broke up due to family reasons," Theo answered seriously.
Hindi ko alam kung totoong seryoso siya o ginagaya niya lang si Cat!
Nang ako na ay medyo nag-panic pa ako ng kaunti sa sasabihin. I never thought of having a relationship, not at all! But when I met Jax, I suddenly want one... But of course, I won't tell them that!
Partly, I'm single because Kuya will punch all the boys who will even dare!
"I'm single... I have a strict brother who treats me like a 9 year old." I told them.
Just even the thought of telling Kuya that I have a crush, I feel like he'll go here in an instant and fight anyone!
"Single na it's complicated," Jax said.
Kumunot ang noo ko. What's complicated?
Another question was asked and Jax didn't even elaborate it! Ano ba 'yun? Bakit complicated? Does he like someone or what?
"Favorite planet?" Theodore asked like a nursery kid!
"Mercury!" sagot naman ni Jaxith. "Dahil sa Mercury, nasisigurong gamot ay laging bago!"
Napailing na lang ako. Itong dalawang pasaway na 'to!
"What's your family motto?" Gelo asked next.
Family Mottos are important for everyone with a good family name and legacy to uphold. It's for the honor of our ancestors.
"For the Tans, Do well and doubt not," Gelo added.
"For the Ocampos, Vigilant and bold," Xuri said. "Bold like a bold star, char!"
"Language, Ms. Ocampo! Minus two points!" si Prof. Somero iyon.
"Ay, nandiyan nga pala si Sir!" bulong sa amin ni Xuri kaya naman palihim akong natawa.
Theo cleared his throat. "Monforte. Never give in, never back down."
"Andrade. Though shaken, we rise..." Cat said next.
"Saavedra, We remain unconquered."
Grant spoke next. Their family name is very big in the business industry. Actually, my Mom told me about them and how they helped our family in the past. The Saavedras invested a large amount of money to the F&G Corp.
During business meetings and parties, si Kuya Kairon ang laging kasama nina Mommy at Daddy dahil siya ang panganay.
He's not a fan of any of the Saavedras, though. Mayayabang daw, pero siya rin naman... I laughed at my own thought.
I wonder if he already met Grant or Chance? Grant mentioned that he have a lot of cousins... Baka sila 'yong mga na-meet ni Kuya before?
Inayos ko ang upo nang ako na ang magsasalita.
"Gonzalez. Our best always."
Dad keeps on reminding us about our family crest. Maganda man o hindi ang resulta, basta ginawa mo 'yong best mo, sapat na 'yon... Iyon ang mahalaga.
Kuya Kai, on the other hand, is always stepping up his game. I'm proud of him in anything that he'd do.
"Pereira, Whatever it takes."
Si Jax ang sumunod at halos napanganga ang lahat ng mga kasama namin. Kahit ako ay nagulat. I thought that he won't answer! Him mentioning their family motto will reveal his identity as a Royal Blue Sapphire!
"What the hecky-heck, Jax? Pereira Air Philippines?!" si Xuri iyon.
Inartehan pa niya ng kaunti ang curse word para hindi masita ni Prof. Somero, pero nabawasan pa rin siya ng another 2 points!
"You're a Royal Blue, Jax?!" si Gelo naman na tila ba hindi pa rin nag-sisink in sa kanya.
Laughtrip naman si Theo sa gilid. Malamang ay alam niya na noon pa! Magkaibigan sila, eh!
"Mga pani kasi kayo, eh! Paniwalain!" natatawang sabi ni Theo.
I rolled my eyes at him.
"Also, Yrreverre. Proud and wise," Jax added.
Natahimik ang lahat. Tinignan ko naman si Jax, I smiled at him. I never expected that he'll reveal it this early. I'm proud of him. No more pretending, at least not to our friends.
"Luh! Kaapelyido mo ang Headmistress!" si Theo iyon.
"Nanay ko, ogag!" barumbadong sagot ni Jax.
"Language, Mr. Pereira! Minus two points for you!" Prof. Somero said. "We need to work on your languange, Star Sapphire Class!"
Habang nagsesermon si Prof. Somero ay panay pa rin ang bulong ni Theo sa gilid.
"Ba't 'di ko alam 'yun? Anak ka ng may-ari? Hanep!"
"Pani ka kasi, Theo," hirit ni Grant.
Natawa ako roon. Minsan na lang nga magsalita si Grant, ganito pa! Theo, back to you!
I don't know if Grant knew it all along because he wasn't as surprised as others. When Prof. Somero dismissed us, panay pa rin ang pag-usisa nila kay Jax.
I'm happy that he can now be himself, the real him, in our class. He's not ready to tell it to everyone just yet so he kept his ID lace. Ang mga kaibigan lang naman daw ang importante at tama naman siya.
I received a call from Mom asking if we have any upcoming Day Tour in the academy. Sinabi kong wala kaya nakahinga siya ng maluwag. Meron daw kasi kanila Kuya Kai. Like what?! They have day tours? It's so nakakainggit naman!
After the call, I tried to call Kuya several times but he's not answering his phone. Naisipan ko tuloy na tawagan na lang si Kuya Shawn. Baka kasi magkasama sila!
"Hi, Kuya Shawn!" I greeted.
"Cali!" I heard Kuya Shawn's husky voice on the other line.
"Is Kuya with you? He's not answering his phone, eh..."
Mahinang natawa si Kuya Shawn. "Uhuh... He's cleaning."
My eyes widened. I thought it's their Day Tour today? And when did Kuya learn how to clean? There's no way! His room is super messy kaya!
"No way!" giit ko.
"Yeah... Got punished for liking someone."
I got even more confused. Wait what? He likes someone and got punished for it? I don't understand!
"The last time we talked, he seems to like his Servitoare... Don't tell me he got punished for it?"
Kuya Shawn laughed. "He did."
"What?! Your school is the worst!"
I can't believe liking someone is now punishable! What kind of a rule is that? It's crazy!
"I heard you have a Day Tour today... Kaya tumawag ako kay Kuya," I added.
"Yep, but Kairon can't go, so I didn't go either. We'll just clean for the whole day," Kuya Shawn said.
Aba! Dinamay pa ni Kuya Kairon si Kuya Shawn sa punishment niya! Bestfriends din pati sa punishment?
Hindi ko na nakausap si Kuya dahil busy siya kaya naman nag-send na lang ako ng text messages.

So you're really serious about the Servitoare Girl, Kuya? Nice!

I'm really happy for my brother. I mean... He was never serious! Pero ngayon naglilinis siya dahil naparusahan? Iba na 'yan!
The next day, there's no Jax Pereira in front of my door. Agad akong nalungkot. Nauna na kaya siyang pumasok? Nalimutan niya na bang sabay kami?
Cali Gonzalez:
Where are you? Papasok na ako...
We're already having our breakfast in the Greenhouse, but there's still no Jaxith. Where is he? He didn't even replied to my chat! Well, he's not active.
Before Prof. Somero started our lesson, he announced that Jaxith will be absent for the day. Bakit kaya? Is he sick?
Agad akong nag-alala. I opened my messenger to send another message.
Cali Gonzalez:
Are you sick?
I sent him the message but he's still not active so I just closed my phone.
I was bothered the whole day without Jax and with the trio impakta pestering me!
"Blue team is the champion! Ang galing talaga ng team natin. May Claire na, may Jax pa!" boses iyon ni Violet.

When I heard Claire's pa-sweet voice, I almost rolled my eyes! We kind of relate to each other my ass!

After our last subject, I immediately went to the Pad to check on Jax. Pagkakita ko sa pintuan niya, the light at the right side of his door is flashing red. That only means that there's no one inside. Pag may tao kasi sa loob, green light dapat.
Where could he be?
Before I could even take another step, I remembered the roof top of this building. Agad akong tumakbo sa elevator.
Kabado pa ako habang paakyat sa roof top. I don't even know if he's there! Just a gut feeling!
I used my Class A badge at the door scanner to get an access inside and surprisingly, it opened!
My heart stopped when I saw Jax sitting in one of the couches, wearing his uniform, hugging his knees, and looking very sad.
"Jax..." I called.
Agad siyang tumingin sa gawi ko at mabilis na napatayo.
"W-Why are you here, Cal?" His eyes were bloodshot.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
He immediately bowed down and shook his head.
Sumasakit ang puso ko dahil hindi siya ganito. He's the happy pill of everyone. Seeing him sad is so rare that it makes me sad too. This is not him at all.
Maybe it's true then...
Even the happiest person in the world feels sad sometimes.
"Do you want to go to the infirmary?" I asked worriedly.
Bakit ba siya malungkot? Dahil sa masamang nararamdaman? Is he that sick?
Umiling lang siya at nanatiling nakayuko.
"How about medicine? Do you want me to get one? What capsule do you need? Biogesic, Neozep, Bioflu–"
"Yakapsul, pwede?" Jax asked in a very soft tone, almost breaking. My heart swelled.
