The doctor made you stay in the hospital for over a month, doing all the necessary checkups for you and the little bean inside you.
You tried calling Jungkook every single day, but every time your call would always go straight to voicemail. You told him how much you miss him, that you need him to make you understand what’s really happening, and that you have a very important thing to tell him.
Each time he don’t answer the phone, you felt like dying, but you get through it whenever you place your hand on your stomach. Thinking that a new life was forming inside of you gave you unexplained strength.
You wanted to protect that baby, give it all the love it deserves especially after all that happened.
Somehow, you knew that if you have that baby by your side, you‘d be okay.
You were seating on the chair by the dining table looking around the place you once called home. Staying in that house, you thought as time went by you would get used to it, being alone and isolated—but you were wrong.
Even Hoseok tried his best to stay beside you, but at night when you lay on that cold bed, you felt suffocated.
The luggage bag to your right stood there as if mocking you, you balled your fist and took in a deep breath before standing up.
It was a bit harder to move around especially with your now huge stomach, you sighed in relief as you heard the doorbell rang signaling that Hoseok was finally there to take you to your new home.
Far away from that place, where everywhere you look reminded you of him.

“I don’t have time to check on those applicants. I trust your judgment Nate, you just choose for me, okay?” Jungkook told his secretary, “and have those newly hired start immediately.”

You hugged your daughter before you let her enter the gates of the preschool. She smiled beautifully as she waved at you.
Your beautiful daughter was already turning four in just a few months; you couldn’t help but to push up the tear on your right eye as you realized…
Time flies excessively fast.
For the past years, you have to admit it was not easy, especially with raising Drew all on your own, but it was the most rewarding thing you have ever experienced. Now seeing your daughter enter a new stage of her life, it made your heart swell with happiness, and at the same time anxiousness too.
You smiled and watched her disappear into the hallway of kids, the teacher gave you a reassuring smile and you finally let out a breath you have been holding onto since earlier.
Now it’s your turn to enter that new stage of your life.
Landing an assistant secretary position was not an easy target, but with everything you’ve got you pushed through it and you managed to actually got the job at this local company you’ve been eyeing since you first moved there. All thanks to your previous job and all the positive reviews you got, this new position was something you desperately need especially with Drew growing up so fast before your very eyes.
You sat on your new chair, admired how pretty you made the new corner you have, until a lady appeared in front of your face, you almost fell on your chair, her bright red lips made you think she just ate raw meat and it made your stomach churned.
“Where’s the CEO?” she asked with a weirdly thin voice.
It was your first day and you haven’t seen the CEO since this morning but the executive secretary told you that he’s inside the office when you came.
You don’t know the lady and the executive secretary was nowhere to be seen.
“Do you have an appointment?” you asked with the most respectful voice you could muster.
“I don’t need that,” she snapped and you took in a deep breath.
“He’s in here?” she pointed at the double glass door up front leading to a huge library like study and inside was the CEO’s main office.
The lady started to walk towards the door and you started to panic.
“Miss, you are not allowed—,” you managed to hold her arms but she took you by surprise as she pushed you hard leaving you stumbling to the ground.
But that did not stopped you.
Instead, you held on her leg preventing her from walking any further.
“What the hell?” the lady squeaked in high tone almost making you deaf. Good thing the CEO’s office was located on the top floor alone and isolated from everyone.
“I just started my job, I can’t lose it now miss,” you gritted your teeth as you hugged even tighter to the lady’s left leg.
“Get the hell off me!”
“Allie! What on earth are you doing?!” the familiar voice of the executive secretary rang on your ears, you looked at his direction his face reflected an expression of shock and confusion all at the same time.
“She—,” you tried to explain, but everything happened like lightning…
The lady threw her purse on your face making you let go of her, a sting cut through the side of your lips, and the sound of the double glass door made you stop from cursing out loud.
You saw a pair of well-cleaned dress shoes and man’s voice spoke with such power it gave you goose bumps.
“What is this?” the CEO said with apparent anger on his voice.
You quickly stood up, your head looking down afraid to look at the man’s face.
It was your first day yet you’re already making a scene.
Through your peripheral vision, you saw the lady walked beside the CEO, her slender arms immediately wrapped around the CEO’s right arm.
“She wouldn’t let me in your office babe,” the lady whined, and good thing you were looking down ’cause you just had to roll your eyes on that.
“I’m sorry boss,” the good hearted executive secretary came to the rescue and stood beside you, “she’s new here and wasn’t aware of Lady Margarette’s business—.”
“You,” the annoying lady’s voice spoke, “apologize to me now.”
You balled you fists, closed your eyes shut and took in a very deep breath.
You rose your head up and look straight to the lady’s face, “I’m s—.”
Your eyes wander to the person beside her, his well build body was still visible under that tailored tuxedo, his eyes bore to you like they did before but this time you felt cold instead of warmth.
You suddenly felt your lungs tighten as if you are being choked, you could not breathe, yet you stood there frozen in front of him.
In your head, you’ve imagined a million scenarios where you would finally meet him again, getting ready of all the things you wanted to tell him, and all the things you wanted to hear from him.
But this scene.
Not like this where another woman’s arms were link to his.
The executive secretary touched your shoulder, “are you okay Allie?”
“Yes sir,” you mumbled, you shifted your gaze away from the man and women in front of you.
“Let’s get inside Margarette,” the CEO said.
And off they went inside the double doors.
“Are you sure you’re okay Allie? You look pale. Also just call me Nate okay?” the executive secretary said as he guided you to your seat.
“Thanks Nate,” you replied with a faint smile on your lips.
You scanned your working table and your eyes stopped at the framed picture of you and Drew when she was only 2 year old, both of you were smiling happily like a complete family.
Your heart ached and your chest contract, you reached for the photo frame and hid it inside the right hand drawer.
“Sorry about that Allie, Ms. Margarette is someone that gives service to our CEO,” Nate explained, but all heard was the word service, “just let her in next time. And that’s our CEO by the way, Mr. Jungkook Jeon.”
