He tapped me on the shoulder about four hours in. I took off my head phones and looked at him. He is so damn handsome. It's unbelievable how is someone who looked so perfect could be so ugh. "I'm gonna order some food and Johnathan is gonna pick it up for me." He said casually. I was so confused. We just left them in the boat. Why the fuck is he back on land? I didn't even question it. "Okay." I said to him. I didn't really know why they decided to leave the boat. But I'm guessing they have a shop to run. I put my headphones on and went back to typing. I said nothing at all. About ten minutes later I got a text from Johnathan saying he was downstairs. I got up and went to go collect the food.
I walk out of the office and down the hall. I turn right and walk straight to the elevator. The whole energy of the place felt so different now that's everyone had basically left. Leaving the two of us here. I'm guessing his whole idea was to submerge ourselves in work. I get into the elevator and press the ground level. The door closes and it starts to move. I get to the ground level and walk out of the elevator. Johnathan was standing there holding his food. "What the fuck are you guys up to?" I asked very tired of their bullshit. I could tell something was off. From the moment I saw that big ass altar to the moment I saw that huge mark on Jamie's neck. "Nothing, what ever do you mean?" He asked, acting very coy and naive. I rolled my eye. "You know what, I know how to handle this." I said turning around and walking away. I'm gonna have to run.
I have one whole week to get my plane ticket and everything thing else I'll need. I'm thinking the Amalfi Coast in Italy. I know that they wouldn't be able to find me there at all. I just need a fresh start. Away from these men and away from everything for a while. I press the button to go up. The doors closed and I focused my attention at the reflection. I looked a bit tired, I definitely had a healthy tan and I could say my skin was acting right for the most part. I walk out of the elevator and down the hall. I turn right and walk straight to the door. I open it and walk in placing the food on the coffee table. I wasn't in the mood to eat. Knowing that they were either plotting or something along the lines of trying to set me up made me loose my appetite.
I sat at the desk and began to type. "I would appreciate it if you left the work for a little bit and sat with me." He said, running his fingers through his messy hair. "Oh so I'm not invisible to you anymore." I said to him. He looked at me a bit confused. I rolled my eyes. "I'm not in the mood to eat... You can eat without me." I said. He poured a glass of wine for the both of us. He got up and walked over to the desk. He placed my glass down beside the key board. He had his on the coffee table. He placed both of his large arms on my shoulder. Gently massaging them, I couldn't lie and say it didn't feel good. He was hitting the spot I had been needing extra tlc in. I moan in pleasure, without realizing how much I was into it. "That's how I want you to sound when I'm inside of you." He said. I immediately snapped out of my daydreams. I didn't want to fall into this trap he was setting. I knew that because he didn't have access to his work wife he would want to prey on me.
I was a little deer who was not in the mood for this lion. I rolled my eyes and scooted away from his grip. He walked over to the couch and sat down. He picked up and plate and started packing it with food. He walked over to the desk and placed it down. "Eat." He said to me. I rolled my eyes and complied. I took a break from my work and started to eat. He packed his plate and dug in. "I never realized how much work I had on my plate until now. I also can't image how your first week was dealing with all of this." He said trying to make conversation. I wasn't really in the mood for it. "Yep." I said before taking a bit of my food.
"What do you plan on doing on your birthday?" He asked me. I didn't want to give him my real answer. Which was run away. " I might have a chill vibe with Johnathan. I don't really know as yet." I said before taking more bites of my food. "Okay." He said. "You know it's on the full moon right." He said. I could feel my stomach turn. "I don't. What do you mean? Why does that matter?" I asked splaying dumb. I knew damn well why it mattered and it's because he and Lestat are plotting on who will take my virginity and mark me fully first. "That's when I'm going to have to mark you." He said. I laughed, mainly out of nervousness.
We will see about that. I knew I'd end up falling back so hard that he'd have to send out a global search team to find me. I mean if he wants to get that complex with finding me he would have to have connects in the fbi. I don't want to have to worry about running forever. I want to settle in that one place and be okay for a few months before I decide I want different. "Good luck." I said to him. "Thank, but you're gonna need it. So good luck to you." He said before winking and taking a sip of his wine.
