"stop" roddy grabbed my hand stopping me from bouncing my leg as we waited for the doctor to come into the room. "you gon be straight"
"i'm scared" i sighed.
"i know baby. but everything happens for a reason so whatever happens, is what's suggested to happen" i nodded as the door knob turned and the doctor walked in.
"Welcome back, you two!" the doctor laughed as he shook roddy and my hands. "what's been going on? it seems on your chart, that you've been throwing up and feeling weird lately?" he asked making me nod.
"pregnancy symptoms but i don't believe i'm pregnant. i'm on birth control" i said. as i started to get comfortable in my seat.
"the pills?" i nodded. "sometimes they don't work. you could be somebody who needs the shot instead" i sighed as my heart started to race. "we have your test results from last weeeekk.." he dragged as he pulled the paper out.
he said a few words before looking back up and smiling at me and roddy.
"you are in fact, pregnant. almost 3 months" my heart dropped.

i sighed trying to calm down as roddy spoke for me to the doctor.
after we talked about everything, we said our goodbyes and as soon as we left out the building, i speed walked to roddys car as he slowly followed behind.
"baby" he said walking to me but i waved him off. "Vanessa come on" he sighed unlocking his car so i can get in while he jogged to his side.
the car ride home was silent. i didn't know how to feel about this baby.. roddy wants one but me? ion wanna have another kid until at least 25.
i've been avoiding talking to him because i know that he won't let me do anything except keep this baby.
i just feel like i can't even get a say.
when we got inside the house, i just went straight upstairs and into our bathroom. i wasn't planning on talking to roddy about this tonight..
"aht" he opened the bathroom door before i could close it. "stop avoiding me. we needa talk about this"
"not tonight, Rodrick" i sighed waving him off as i walked to the shower turning the water on.
"yes tonight!" he pulled me back towards him.
"roddy i don't want the baby! i just wanna focus on my job right now! i know you don't get it, but it sucks having no choice!" i pleaded as i felt tears fill my eyes.
"you wanna abort our baby again?" he furrowed his eyebrows. "your lucky you can even have kids, Vanessa!"
"leave me alone" i said looking down a little. "please" my voice cracked as my tears fell off my cheeks.
i was done arguing.
i wanna go to sleep. i'm tired of this.

"so how yo shorty been" tjay furrowed his eyebrows as he blew the smoke from the blunt out his mouth.
"don't worry bout er" i said as my
new song played over the speakers.
"goddamn he was just asking a question" bird chuckled as he sat down on the couch. "since y'all made it official, you ain't been around a lot"
"i gotta keep her happy" i shrugged.
"ion think she'd care about you doin yo job" tjay said as he stood up. "but im out. gotta go to Aleisha house" he sighed.
"babymomma's" bird shook his head. "she been blowin' you up still?"
"hell yea! she won't stop callin' my phone!" he groaned. "talkin bout, 'why you ain't send money for Cory' bitch! i just sent money and now she askin for more"
"she aggy asf" bird chuckled. "When you got cory?"
"tomorrow to tuesday" he nodded. "waitin' for pop and Ny's baby" he nudged me.
"we ain't even fuck yet" i chuckled shaking my head. "she wanna move slow"
"damn" tjay shook his head. "i'm out forreal dis time"
after he left, i left after him. i wasn't in the mood to see anybody except Ny. i got mad writers block and i just wanna be wit her.
she been busy ever since we got back from the bahamas so i haven't been able to see her for almost a week.
she's been having clients come in for hair and nails all day's this week so she won't let me come over. i told her id watch but she don't want me to get bored.
i dialed her number before pulling out bird's driveway.
"hey baby" she answered on the 2nd ring.
"i'm comin' to see you" i said as she propped her phone up.
"what? i'm tired and i was boutta go to sleep" she yawned.
"then i'm spendin' the night" i shrugged.
"what's wrong? you sound annoyed" she asked as she tied her hair into a messy bun.
"i wanna see you and you keep saying no" she sighed.
"you know how busy i've been. i'm getting my money until school starts back up!" she explained.
"i know, bae" i could tell she saw right through me. i just wanna see her. nobody else. this shit real weird to me since i ain't never felt like this about a female..

"i'll unlock the door" she sighed getting up taking her phone with her.
"ima see you in a few minutes" i said before hanging up.

i yawned as i opened the door so pop could come inside my apartment. i'm so fucking tired it's unbelievable! i had so many clients today and it sucked! i just wanted to sleep all day 😫!
"where you goin?" he asked as he shut and locked the door behind him. "come here" he pulled me to him, smashing his lips into mine.
he backed me up until my back hit the wall with his arms around my waist.
"i'm tired babe" i pulled away. "i wanna go to sleep"
"ight" he sighed letting go off me before making his way to my couch making me furrow my eyebrows.
"what's wrong?" i asked as i made my way to him. "baby" i sighed sitting on his lap taking his phone out his hand. "why you mad?"
"i ain't mad" he sighed. "i'm just stressed. i been tryna get you ALONE for a week now and i missed you" he said putting his hands on my ass slowly caressing over it.
"so what you want? come cuddle wit me and go to sleep" i said leaning down giving him a kiss.
"i'm horny too. i know you wanna wait so i wasn't gonna say anything" he explained.
"you forreal?" i sighed.
"what i gotta lie for?" i sighed again realizing that i should do something for him since he did something for me a few weeks ago.. "i wanna fuck. but i'm not gonna force you into anything. if youn want to, then we won't"
