6pm
By this time. Everyone was up dancing, drinking, singing having a good time. It was just a vibe all around. I was still kinda upset at the fact that Pop had drugs on him while he was at a meeting to meet my family so I was avoiding him for half the night til I couln't no more.
"Want some cake?" I ask Pop as I approach the table.
"What kind is it?" He licks his lips trying to see my plate as I sit down.
"Red velvet," I take a bite, "Wanna try some?" I take a piece and put it on the fork before feeding it to him, "Good?" I laugh.
"Yeah but ima eat some of yours I don't want my own cause i'm already getting chubby," He laughs making me laugh, "You keep feeding me too good I gotta get back in the gym!" He laughs more.
A couple moments of silence go by.
"So you talking to me now?" He asks, "I know i'm in the wrong but what i'm involved in has no time to wait. It doesn't matter where i'm at or who i'm with, I gotta have it on me."
"I just don't like the fact you got what you got on you while being here with little kids and my family. But I can't say anything, you've been doing this since sixteen."
"Nah but I like that you're speaking up and we not being childish just keeping shit bottled up. Put me in check, put me in place I like that shit," He says making me laugh.
"Just let me know wassup before anything alright?" I ask before he nods.
"You so official," He sips his soda, "How you still with me?" He laughs.
"No how're you still with me? You don't think my family crazy yet?" I laugh making him laugh.
"None of your aunts asked me to dance yet and your uncles ain't come up to me besides the one I met at your crib that one time."
"Oh they will give it some time the liquor ain't kicked in yet," I say as he laughs more.
"Ciela!" My cousin shouts out from across the room. She starts approaching us with her group of friends.
"Oh my gosh, I can't stand this girl," I roll my eyes and turn back
"She hate this damn girl," Tae laughs looking over.
"Why?" Pop laughs.
"You boutta see," Tae laughs more before sipping his liquor.
"Heyyyyy primaaaa," She bends down to hug me fake smiling, "Te ves hermosa," She smiles before looking at Pop, "I'm Valerie," She smiles wider.
"Pop, how you doing?" He asks.
"Alright," She laughs and nod, "Uhm, Ciela you remember Melissa and Nyanna."
"Hey," I smile quickly before hearing Tae laugh behind me which makes Pop laugh.
"I'm Nyanna," She steps up front to be by Pop, "Nice to meet you pa," She holds out her hand.
"Oh shit," Tjay comes up to the table along with the other guys.
"Unh unh," I wave her hand down and stand up, "Don't call my nigga no fucking 'papi' I will beat ya ass."
"Done woke the demon," Pop stands up to grab me.
"Relaxxxx," Tjay grabs me.
"I thought you said he was single," Nyanna looks at Valarie.
"You know she with Pop stop fucking playing!" Tae shouts a little.
"You know this my man, stop acting dumb. Forreal, and for all three of yah to come over here and disrespect me is mad crazy yo like yah real lucky niggas is holding me back."
"Nah, I really didn't know yah came together so we're gonna go. I apologize," Nyanna says before all of them walk away confronting one another.
"Damn, I wanted niggas to fight," Jay shakes his head before Ella hits him, "What?" He laughs.
"She lucky we're at this event right now or I really would've came out of character," I sit back down.
"Calm down crazy ass, c'mon let's go dance get ya mind off shit fucking demon," Pop laughs making everyone laugh.
7:30pm
"Yo bro! Look at me!" Mike calls out loud for Pop.
He was dancing bachata with my abuela. My aunts and the girls had all the guys trying to dance bachata with them including me with Pop.
"You a pro woo!" Pop starts cracking up.
"Babe you gotta dance close that's how you do it," I say before he moves closer, "See and now come this way..then just move your hips.." I look up at him and laugh making him laugh.
"Aye! Aye! Aye!"
"THERE YOU GO PAPI!" Aunt Minnie shouts out to Pop making us laugh.
"Y'all crazy ass hell," Pop says in my ear over the music making me laugh.
The Dj continued to play a couple of latin songs before then starting to play reggae.
He played 'Dutty Wine' and as soon as it came on Me and Pop gave eachother that look and just.. went off.
"OHHHHHHHHHH!"
"THIS MY SONG!" I shout making Pop laugh before I start wining with him.
We hold each others hands before he turns me around to wine on him. Everyone around us were in their own world.
"Aye! Go Ci!" Jasmine shouts out making me laugh before I turn around to face Pop.
I start wining slowly on him as he hugged all over my body. Then the DJ changed it up to Back It Up and I just went in.
"Ouuu ouuuu ouuuu!" Tae starts recording me dancing on Pop, "Ouuuu yahhhh nastyyyy!" He starts to hype me up, "Ouuuu! Ouuu! Ahhhh! Ahhhhh!" He laughs making me and Pop laugh.
"Yo!" Pop gets my attention, "I'm finna get you pregnant tonight!" He laughs.
"Yeah alright!" I roll my eyes playfully.
8:45pm
We were all sitting at the table now. Eating more food. Talking amongst ourselves as the kids were on the dance floor dancing to the kids songs that the DJ played for them.
"Yah having fun?" Jasmine asks around.
"Best wedding I been too!" Obasi speaks up, "Thank you for the invite," He looks at me.
"No problem, thank you for coming! Means a lot."
"This my type of setting! I don't got a big ass family so this shit not regular but everybody cool as hell," Jay says aloud to Ella, "But yah aunts," He looks at Jasmine then me, "Funny as hell! Trying to teach me how to dance and calling me cute every five minutes like," He makes everyone laugh, "Like now I know I aint ugly if grown women like me!" He laughs loudly making us laugh loudly.
"This nigga right here.." Tjay shakes his head, "I hope my moms ain't call ya ass 'cute'."
"Yeah okay," Jay laughs before making Tjay crack up.
It was a vibe. I liked this set up right here. My girls. Tae. My family. The woo's and Pop.
"Yah having fun?!" I hear my dad shout behind me over the music. He had uncle Cornell and uncle Hermino with him.
"Yeahhhh," Everyone says in sync.
"Bashar is it?" My uncle Hermino clears his throat.
"Yeah," Pop stands up to fix himself up properly.
"Beba's uncle, you can call me Hermino.." They shake hands and nod, "It's nice to finally meet you."
"Nice to meet you too."
"Ser bien tio.." I look up at my uncle.

"Ciela.." My dad looks to me as I stand up.
"Dad.." I look back at him, "No lo intimides por favor. Me cae muy bien," I look at all three of them, "Nos tomamos muy en serio el uno del otro, asi que entiendelo, no quiero que se diga nada malo. Okay?" I explain as they look to each other and nod in agreement.

"I-I don't know what's going on," Pop chuckles.
"Don't worry bout it," I say.
"Come on over here to our table to talk," Uncle Hermino pats his shoulder before they walk away.
"Here we go.." I shake my head.
