Yooooooo!!! I'm back, babiessss!!!😩❤️❤️❤️
I see we're now at 22k reads. Happy dance💃💃

Shout out to Rihanna_Adedeji because well, I thought about her today for no apparent reason😂❤️ She's a boss ass writer!! Y'all already know that by now!!

Okay okay, we move..

                                         ~GIWA~

                              "ON YOUR MARK!!!!"

The Sports Master's loud voice could be heard all the way from the track.

At his order, the Senior boys representating their various Sport houses in the 1300 meter race were already squatting in position according to their track lanes, all arranged in order, from the Blue House participant on the first track lane, all the way down to the Green House Participant on the laat track lane.

There was a whole crowd of spectators in the currently over-populated field that watched the student athletes so eagerly.

The very many students of Castron High present in the field all wore t-shirts and shorts matching the color of their various houses and sat by the left side of the field, in different canopies, according to thier houses.

As usual, SS3s' had a few adjustments to their Uniforms.

The parents sat by the right side of the field instead, having the teachers and other school authorities, as well as the students media team, as their close neighbors.

Everyone had their eyes fixed on the students athletes, who were already in their kneeling positions, on their own track lanes, focusing ever so seriously on an invisible target and waiting for the Sports Master's clapboard to be heard.

Well, It was the 10th day of February, and  also, the long awaited Interhouse School Sports Competition day.

At the moment, we all were watching the Senior Boys 1300 meter race that was just about to take place.

Instead of being anxious or rooting for my house's success, like my other Red House members were doing, I, Giwa Falade, had my eyes set on one particular individual that was participating in this very track event.

Ivandor Fejaun.

He was representing Yellow house, and at that moment, he was there, squatting in his position on the second track lane, and I watched only him.

Only him.

Don't even ask why, because I don't even know.

Ever since my talk with Shade last week, I had been feeling a bit odd. Like I was heading the wrong way. Heading for destruction, as Shade had insinuated.

I didn't show her that obviously. However, since that day she said all that to me, I had been feeling a bit uncomfortable. I had been feeling like Shade was right.

It hit even more different today.

I knew it was my period.

My period just had to start by this time!

Just Great! On the Interhouse Sports Competition day, where Ivandor was literally going to be everywhere in my face, doing one thing or the other for his house, it just had to start. Just so everytime I see Ivandor, I'll have to start rethinking my life, baa?

Nice work, period! Sarcasm intended. Cue massive eye roll too.

The clapping of the board by the Sports Master brought me back to reality with a gasp, and immediately, the boys on the track took to their heels.

I sat there in the Red House canopy, sharing a row at the back with my classmates, and as the race began, the juniors in the front row, started getting up in anxiety to watch the boys as they ran.

Ofcourse, my classmates, Chika and Soma, being the lead at it, scolded them and asked them to seat down and watch the race, for the sake of the people at the back, but I stayed still.

I still watched Ivandor.

Only Ivandor.

Watched him as he started the race at a co-ordinated speed, as it was a long race that needed more of endurance, than the speed itself.

Watched the determination and focus in his eyes as he did what he did with so much confidence.

As embarrassing as it was for me to admit, I also watched how good he looked too.

He looked so good when he was serious like that_

Stupid damn period!

When the cheers started getting louder, I realised that the speed the athletes were running with, had suddenly increased, as they seemed to be getting closer to the finish.

I still watched Ivandor.

His speed was beyond remarkable all of a sudden.

Realising the tension around me, with what was happening, and all the hushed talking and exclamations from my house members, I was forced to divert my attention from Ivandor, to the boy representing our house in the same race - Dameon Ukeje, the Sports Prefect girls, younger brother in SS2.

Apparently, he and Ivandor were neck and neck, both of them struggling for the first place position, with Orange House closely following up right behind the both of them, and Blue, White, green, Magenta and Purple House, following up as runner-ups respectively.

Well, as expected, by the end of the race, a debate ensued on who had won between Yellow House and Red House.

I lounged on my seat, feeling a bit uninterested, as my housemates came up with their own 'conspiracy theories' on the whole matter.

After a few minutes, it was concluded that our house came second in the race to Yellow House.

I rolled my eyes. Like I even expected us to win.

Since the track events had started, we had not won even one. The girls races pissed me off the most, because the twins from Prissy's house kept roasting everybody to shege.

Speaking of Prissy Waje, she was a celebrity in this Interhouse Sports Competition. I mean, just like Ivandor, she too, was everywhere.

At that point, I got tired. I tuned myself out.

It was up until the last event for the Interhouse Sports, when the football match had started, that Hassana found me in my house canopy.

"Giwa!" She screamed so excitedly, gathering the attention of the juniors present there.

Without even realising the attention she just gathered, she fixed herself in, with so much enthusiasm on the empty seat next to me, that used to be one of my housemate's seat.

Apparently, Hassana Alfa's idea of Interhouse Sports was a fashion parade. She didn't even have braids on today. Against the school rules and regulations, she took on a very bold move and fixed short blonde weaves on her head.

She looked so...yellow. With the blonde weaves, and the fancy, bright yellow shirt she had on.

I mean, she looked good. Very, very good.

But damn,  brave mood!

I mean, the entire school authority was present here, but as we can all see, that's none of Hassana's business.

Hassana obv😂❤️ Oh yeah, and her hair!!!

"Are you still having cramps?" She asked me, with wide, concerned eyes.

I laughed a little. She looked like a bored, little kid who was waiting for an adult to give them instructions. Those ones that would come to you and be like,"Should I write on this paper?"

"Kind of, but_,"

My answer was cut off immediately by the chants and screams coming from the SS2S' - mostly around Orange House.

Jeez, why all the noise?

Looking in, I saw a mini - crowd situated in Orange House, surrounding someone I couldn't make out. When the crowd started to clear up, the first thing I saw was the initials 'IKJ' at the back of a guy's shirt.

I looked away and gave a sigh of exxasperation, immediately understanding what all that was all about.

Damn, Ss2s' and Orange House in general and that obsession they have with that their set's football star athlete - Michael Ndukwe or whatever he waa called. If not for that boy, Orange House wouldn't even have stand in this Interhouse Sports. He literally did everything for them.

"For a moment, I thought it was another junior student having an athsma attack," Hassana said to me, diverting my attention to her.

Another athsma attack?

"Ivandor's sister in jss1 is still in the school clinic. She had an athsma attack before the Interhouse Sports even started," Hassana added.

Wait, what?

"Sharon had an athsma attack?" I asked Hassana to be sure I heard correctly.

Hassana nodded slowly. "Well, yeah. She did."

I felt a tugging at my chest.

Sharon had an athsma attack?

Woah.

Red House took second by the end of the Interhouse Sports Competition. Yellow went home with first, as expected. Orange followed suit at third, then White. The rest of the results, I didn't know.

After the results had been announced, and the Principal got on stage to give a long ass speech, one by one, most Ss3 students started to leave the canopies.

I should have stayed with the other junior students, considering I was the Head girl, but as much as I hated to admit it....

...I wanted to talk to Ivandor.

If not for anything, for Sharon, at least.

The SS3 Hallway was fuller than I expected. Apparently, a lot of my classmates had left the principal's speech to find solace here too.

It was also very noisy too. As noisy as hell! I got worried that they would even attract attention. All my classmates here -boys and girls- laughed and talked at the very top of their voices.

As I strolled down with Hassana, who kept greeting EVERYBODY around us, I held my head up high in pride and sass. Nose in the air, lips paused in contempt, and eyes looking so straight like my environment bothered me not.

However, that was opposite of the case.

The corners of my eyes were on the alert, desperately searching the entire place - and I mean, all ends - for Ivandor.

I know. I'm pathetic.

On the contrary, instead of finding the wizard I was looking for, I happened to just find, through the corners of my eyes, Krisdana Moe, who was classically leaning by the wall, in her yellow house uniform, with folded arms, and a death glare that was aimed perfectly at me from the distance she stood.

Flipping hell?

That girl had to be a witch, abeg!
I have put my foot down on it this day.

Through out the week, she had been doing this same, exact thing. Glaring at me out of the blue. Like I had offended her or something.

And best believe me, today, I was not having it with her anymore.

Once I had walked past her glare that hovered around and behind me in turn, I halted suddenly on my tracks.

This, confused Hassana.

Ignoring her confusion, I announced with a firm, bold, an authoritative voice. "Krisdana Moe!"

Oh, yes. I announced.

Her name was a clear, loud, and audible announcement.

And believe me when I say I have a LOUD voice. Peeks of being the Head girl.

So, apparently, I just so happened to also gather attention from our classmates in the hallway, by announcing Krisdana's name openly like that.

An utterly confused Hassana tapped me slightly, noticing this, but I blatantly ignored her once again.

When I didn't hear Krisdana's voice behind me, I clearly repeated with an even louder voice, "I said, Krisdana Moe!"

The noise in the Hallway started to die down slowly, leaving more of whispering and sidetalks, as even more attention from the others far away, was directed to us that moment, leaving me and Hassana, as the centre of attention.

"Krisdana Moe, If you have anything to say to me, why don't you just come right out and say it to my face." I said with a calm, yet audible and confident voice.

I mean, what was up with all the silent, cowardly glaring?

If she had anything to say, then, let her go right ahead and say it to my face?

Just then, the crowd that seemed to almost be covering the halfcaste bitch in question started to clear up slowly, and soon the hate-filled, probably-capable-of-causing-death glare from the  shorter girl was revealed to the open, and it was aimed directly at me, without even wavering.

"You know what, Giwa? Maybe, I actually do have a lot of shit to say!" Krisdana's harsh reply came, and next thing, the girl was literally marching up towards me. Heavy, angry steps. Like a soldier about to charge an enemy.

I did not even move. Not even a muscle. A hair on my head? Oh, it didn't even shake.

This girl didn't scare me one bit.

"I have a problem with you, Falade." She said, as soon as she got to me.

All eyes set on us watching the unfolding drama and I only scuffed, and nodded mockingly, in amusement, at Krisdana.

"My cousin loves you to a fault, and for a moment, I thought I could understand that. But now? With all these your consistent bullshit? I guess my first instincts about you were right after all." She paused there, and scuffed a little.

"You better get your shit together, Giwa. Or, you're going to have to see a part of me you won't like!" Krisdana reamed.

Ofcourse, I was going to reach out to Ivandor.

But who exactly did this girl think she was to talk to me like this in front of everyone?

"I'm not afraid of you." I told her plainly. My voice was calm and firm.

"Well, I'm not afraid of you too, Giwa. Never have been and never will be." She retorted back.

"And, I don't even want to waste my time talking to you about this, because it seems you're too stubborn to comprehend a thing. All I just want to do is warn you...," Her voice went deep with her last two words.

An eyebrow of mine arched at her attitude.

"You don't know the things I'm capable of doing to a person if they mess with my family." She told me, her eyes dark and cold.

" I promise you, Giwa. I will fuck you up."

Those were her last words before she left my sight.

As I watched behind her, I couldn't help but...laugh.

I actually laughed.

This girl really thinks she has what it takes to fuck me up?

Yeah, right. I'd love to her try.

                                         ~YURE~

Nova and Shade left me few minutes after they came to say 'hi' from their Green House canopy, and since then, I had't seen them again.

By the time, the school field was already quite scanty.

It was 3pm, and since my parents could not make it today, I should have called the driver long before now.

But, I just wasn't ready to leave just yet.

Slit my throat if you may, but I could not get my eyes off Prissy Waje.

She had been there with her mum, under the parents' canopies, since the results for the Interhouse Sports were announced.

How did I know that? Well, because I had been sitting here, under the Blue house Canopy watching her the entire time.

I had half a mind to walk over there and say hi since her mum knew me already, but I didn't want her mum detecting anything was wrong with our relationship.

So, I stayed put on my seat.

Just when I was about giving up and leaving, Prissy Waje stood up from the seat she was on.

My body jerked up in attention immediately, and I sat up on my seat and followed her with my eyes.

She waved her mum off, and started to walk across the field.

I kept watching her, until she crossed the field and got to the road route that led to the class block.

She was heading for the class block.

I knew the class block would be well empty by now, or close to empty atleast. Virtually everyone had already gone home by now.

I watched her until she was almost out of sight..

Yure, sit down. Don't follow her..

I stood up from my seat to follow Prissy.

I walked a distance away from her, so I knew she probably wouldn't have noticed me. That is, unless, she does not look back.

Yure, stop following her.

Ignoring that little voice in my head yet again, my legs walked on, behind Prissy, right until she entered the class block.

Okay, Yure, this is your stop..

My legs begged to differ.

I followed Prissy even inside the Class Block, and after about two or three steps into the block, she stopped adruptly, as if alarmed.

She just paused, legit stopped walking all of a sudden.

Had she realised she was being followed?

My eyes widened immediately, as it hit me that she could have.

Luckily, the little corridor that led to the senior staff rooms was right by my left. It was quite covered, and hidden from the hallway itself. From there you could see people in the hallway to an extent, but they could hardly see you.

The moment that Prissy turned back with speed, to catch her stalker, I literally jumped into that corridor, and pressed myself against one side of the wall to avoid being in her sight.

It worked.

After Prissy surveyed her surrounding for a while, she turned back and continued walking.

I stayed there, until Prissy came back from wherever she went, and this time, she was hanging her school bag on her shoulders.

I couldn't help but notice something new in her look..

Her wrists..

She was wearing that gold bracelet I had gotten for her last year.

I am 100% sure she did not have that bracelet on, during the Interhouse Sports.

So, I'm supposing she just came back here, after everyone had left, to get her things and....wear the bracelet I gave her?

Okay, wow.

I didn't even think she still had it.

Talk more of wearing it.

And to be honest, I couldn't help but smile, and wonder silently;

Does this mean that despite all the non-challance  Prissy had been feigning this whole entire time.....

.....she was still thinking about me?

Prissy was thinking about me?

That gave me even more confidence.

As soon as Prissy got close to the corridor where I hid, I stepped right out of my covers to face her. Thereby, startling her in the process.

"Jesus Christ! Yure! Have you been following me!?" Was the first thing Prissy exclaimed in shock. I held on to her immediately to stop her from falling as she so would have apparently.

"No, no, well..a little..,"

"Are you being serious right now? So, you've been the one following me all these while?" She said, looking at me with the most stunned look ever.

"It's not like I was following.. okay, yeah, I was.. but, not really..,"

What am I even saying, for God's sake!

Ofcourse, Prissy just stared at me, with that shock still well evident on her face.

Way to go, Yure. Creep the poor girl out.

"Well, I'm leaving now, so..," I grabbed a hold of her before she could leave as she so started to.

Her still stunned expression moved swiftly from her hand that I held - where that bracelet was wrapped neatly around - and to my face.

"Yure," she said. "What do you want?"

She asked so calmly.

I took a little time to think of a way to answer her question.

"You keep acting like I don't exist. Why?" I asked instead.

"What do you want me to do then? Act like we're seeing each other?" She said.

"No, no." I cut in immediately. "We could be friends, Prissy. Just friends."

Prissy only shook her head in disagreement.

"That won't work and you know it. It's best for me not to over step my boundaries." She said.

"Stop acting like you don't feel anything for me. I know you do."

I swear my mouth just talked by itself.

She said nothing. Not a word. She took away eye contact from me at that point. Her eyes fixed on the ground, thereon.

I don't know if I was tripping, but she looked like she was considering something. Considering..me?

Was she?

"You still have the bracelet I got you." I said to her, looking from the bracelet around her wrist, in my hand, and then to her sober, lowered head.

Why wasn't she saying anything?

"Say something, Prissy. Look at me," I urged her.

After a little bit of more silence from Prissy, she finally opened her mouth to speak.

"Even if I have feelings for you, what difference will it make? We'll just go back to doing funny business behind your girlfriend's back, and I'm really not ready for that."

She said this with a calm, pained voice. Her head never went up to look me in the eyes either. Just stayed transfixed on the ground.

"Yure, I'm learning to move on." She continued, still not looking at me.

".. and you should too. I'd really advice you to talk to your girlfriend and smoothen things out before things get out of control." She added, before finally looking up to meet me eye to eye.

She momentarily paused with wide, shocked eyes for the count of a second, like she had seen something in my face. Quickly, she kept back her composure.

What's going on with her?

With a faint, whisper tone, she said to me. "Try and act normal. Ivandor is behind you."

I stiffened on the spot.

Prissy walked away from me akwardly, and I stayed transfixed on the spot I was on for a few more seconds.

Ivandor's behind me? You mean.. Ivandor was standing behind me?

Wait, what?

How did he even_

I turned around quickly to meet Ivandor, still in his yellow house uniform, looking at me from about five steps away.

Five steps away..

Could that have been enough for him to have heard my conversation with Prissy?

I couldn't tell. His face looked quite neutral. He didn't seem angry. If he heard us, he should have been angry, right?

What was he even still doing here in school?

He started walking to get closer to me. I noticed his walking speed was a bit intensified. Was that something to be worried about?

"Why were you holding Prissy's hand like that?"

That was the first question Ivandor asked as soon as he got to me. His narrowed eyes moved effortlessly with mine.

"Well, we..we were just talking. T-that's all." I answered his question.

Ivandor's look remained on me unwavering, like he was trying to find something out.

After about five seconds of that uncomfortable look, he broke his contact with a little laugh and shook his head at me.

Why was he laughing?

"Look, I'll be direct with you." He said, getting all serious again.

I listened.

"I know you're playing Kris." He stated clearly.

"No, man. No, I_,"

"Don't fucking lie to me." Ivandor's rough voice cut in immediately. His words sounded like a groan, as he basically spoke through gritted teeth. His eyes were now suddenly hard as hell as he looked me over with a glare.

I backed up slightly.

How his demeanor suddenly switched from cool and neutral to angry and bitter shocked me completely.

I said nothing, and watched as his whole demeanor relaxed again. He was back to neutral and cool, and I couldn't help but think to myself;

Had Ivandor started to lose his mind?

He was acting like a psychopath.

I watched as he balled his right hand into a fist slowly, one finger folding after the other.

Yure, brace yourself. He's going to punch you now.

But he didn't.

Instead, he started to look over the knucles on his fist ever so casually.

Was he now admiring his fist? What the hell was going on with this guy?

"You know why I haven't broken your nose yet?" Ivandor finally asked me.

I can swear I could see a tiny smile forming at the corner of his lips.

Was he playing with me?

At this point, I just wanted him to go right ahead and do it instead of putting me on a hot seat like this.

However, my stupid ass opened my mouth to actually ask. "Why?"

Ivandor answered, "Well, because, I want to give you the benefit of the doubt, Yure. I may just be wrong. I may not."

His focused eyes diverted from his fist and then, to my face.

"I've been stopping myself from confronting you for quite some time now, because I've been scared of how I'd handle it with you if it was so. But at this point, I guess we just have to find out once and for all...," Ivandor said, looking at my face intently.

"Now, I'm going to ask you once, Yure. Don't even think about lying." His look on me was dead.

The big question came thereafter.

"Do you or do you not have feelings for Prissy?"

I looked at him not saying a word. He did just same, studying every slight facial movement I made, with the most focus I've ever seen on a person, as he waited for me to answer his questions.

I looked at him.

He looked at me.

I looked at him.

He still looked at me.

There was no means of escaping this question, and I didn't want to implicate myself by answering.

Against my will, my mouth opened and the words came out. "I don't have feelings for Prissy."

Immediately, without even having a chance to register things properly, I felt something heavy bashing my nose with horrific force, nearly making me to lose my balance.

Groaning in unbearable pain, I could barely even stop myself from hitting the earth, as I cowered against the wall, covering my now fucked up, bloody nose that Ivandor probably just destroyed with that one punch.

I covered my nose to stop the bleeding.

"Fuck!" I screamed into the wall, hitting my fist against it as the pain only got worse.

"Fucking liar!" Ivandor cussed at me, before walking away and leaving me there to wallow in my pain.

What the fuck!?  My nose!!
